We were passing through Georgia and looking for a good small town restaurant, we definitely found it. Great BBQ, yummy fries and homemade potato salad. Very friendly and welcoming staff.

Stopped in on a drive to Augusta. Staff was friendly, food good and affordable. Skip the Coke slaw as it wasn’t worth writing home over. The ribs and smoked wings were fantastic. Also the Bradley Beans with the sprinkle of cheese over it were a delicious surprise. Worth revisiting the time time we are in this area!

Not in the habit of 5-​star reviews but these guys deserve every bit of it… food portions massive (¼ rack of ribs was ‘too’ much for a lunch plate). I was going to be macho and order a half but the owner convinced me that I would do well to stay at a ¼ — and he was so right. I didn’t know ribs could be that good and filling. Sides were perfect. Potato salad & Brunswick stew — two can’t miss options. Cost was reasonable and a great overall value. Service was fast and very personable. Parking on the road right next to the restaurant. Overall — a very solid lunch choice near the square in Covington, GA. Course if you’re reading this, you probably already know this is a gem! Well done guys!

I had the BBQ Big Tex sandwich, fries and drink lunch special. It was nothing special. The price is good, but the portions are small. The BBQ is pretty tasty, but the portion is small. And I believe the fries are frozen, not homemade. I probably won’t go back. Or maybe I will and try the hamburger next time. I have to say the service was good and the lady at the counter was very friendly.

One of the many BBQ options in Covington, very consistent and good food. Not the best but far from the worst. It’s location is great, right off of the square and the seating is very open and able to accommodate a decent size group.

Been to this place many times and never disappointed. My son is in love with the ribs and says they are the best he’s ever had. I usually get the BBQ sandwich which is also amazing. Their potato salad is also out of this world! I could seriously drink the BBQ sauce it’s so good! lol! Love this place!

The food was excellent and the customer service was even better. We walked in right when they opened, and they are friendly and helpful. They brought our food to the table quickly and the portions were large. My husband wanted an extra piece of toast, because he liked it so much. They gave it to him free of charge. Great customer service!

Outstanding BBQ and even better service. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Orders the ribs and pulled pork. The ribs were amazing and the sauces were the best. At one point the «pit boss» came out to make the food was to our liking. Great place if you’re in the area!

I live in Blairsville, so we know good BBQ (Jim’s Smokin Que and Joe’s in Blue Ridge). This was good stuff. Great flavor, great sauces. (Mountain BBQ is still a little bit better) Combine that with proximity to the square, and friendly service, you got a true winner. Also, the portions are very fair for the price. I got some ribs and pulled pork (and sides) for lunch, and finished them for supper. Yeah, the portion, and the price, were right for two lunchtime meals, but absolutely no complaints. No room for dessert, but they looked good. The sweet tea — top shelf.

Let me begin by saying, we aren’t locals. So we relied on Unilocal to help us find a good local BBQ joint. We were not disappointed! BBQ sandwich, ribs, green beans with pork (special for the day), and brisket. Delicious. I recommend the sweet BBQ sauce, but I know that is a personal thing for folks. Shout out to Destiny and Blake who took great care of us. They offered wonderful suggestions, were really friendly, and made us feel welcome, even at the late hour we arrived. Hope to come back!

Great spot for a meal in downtown «old» Covington. the barbeque is only alright. I’ve had better and I’ve had much worse. The service is between that of fast food and that of a waiter, you order at the counter then you sit at a table then they bring you your food.

The BBQ sauces are top notch, and the servings are SO big I can’t eat ¼ rack of ribs, that is scary.

Delicious and affordable! The owner Brad and his staff were sooo nice! I had the combo plate with the pulled pork and the beef brisket. It was lean and juicy, easily the best BBQ I’ve had in these parts. I opted for the cole slaw and baked beans and they were superb! Keep up the good work.

My husband and I went here today after hearing several recommendations, were so glad we did! Some of the best BBQ I’ve had. We ordered pulled pork (favorite), ribs (so much meat and so tender), pulled chicken (a little salty but good flavor), coleslaw (I loved it but my husband thought it was bland), and baked beans (literally the most delicious beans ever, complete with little chunks of the pulled pork nestled in). Plus, the woman who served us was a total sweetheart!

Eh, nothing impressive about the place. Their sauce tastes generic, nothing special about it. The pulled pork tastes like it’s boiled and bland. The «toasted» hamburger buns weren’t even toasted. The place was near empty during lunch time and now I know why.
Will not be ordering from again.
