I have tried to give this place a couple of times, but the staff here are not as friendly or helpful at all. The only people who are friendly are the Starbucks people. Tried to pick up a couple of seafood in the back, and there was no one to be found. I stood there for a good 5 minutes. I proceeded to look down each aisle to see if someone could help me, and when you make eye contact with someone, they turn or scurry away like a squirrel. If you make it to checkout, kudos to you. There was one lone person checking out despite the store starting to get busy.

The checkout lane is extremely slow. Yes, one checkout open and 8 people in line. What’s worse is that you block people from walking by in the isles. How about opening another lane and making it TWO lanes.

Good service, friendly people. Need to work on their bathrooms. If their bathrooms aren’t clean makes me wonder what else isn’t.

This location is really great, and the prices are wonderful too. For a while they were getting pretty low on stock of some certain items in grocery but luckily and lately that issue has been fixed. The newest issue however is not having enough people to help bag groceries. I’m constantly hearing cashiers groan and complain that they can’t get any help.

I love this Safeway and everyone here is so friendly. It’s a very clean store and the deli had an amazing selection of fresh salads and their new fried chicken is yummy.

Who the hell leaves a bad review about a grocery store(I mean BESIDES Carla)? Five stars, been going here since it was first built and it has even been remodeled since that last reviewer left a poor review in ’09. Friendly staff, well stocked shelves –that’s never changed. Why the two stars, because she felt ‘squished’ between aisles? That’s ridiculous –they all have to be the same width as other stores. Get a hobby, lady.

I hardly make the effort to go into this Safeway any more. In fact I drive the extra couple of mile the other way into Kent to go to a higher quality and more well run grocery store. To start Safeway seems to be low or out of products I regularly shop for. I’m not sure why this is but I can’t imagine I’m the only one that goes in to find out they don’t have the product I am looking for in stock any more. Thanks for wasting my time coming in. This isn’t something that happens 1 or 2 times but I would say every other time I am in the store. Then there is the checkout. Come on people, does anyone know what customer service is. That means moving the line along in an efficient manner. I don’t want to sit in line waiting for you to have a 5 minute conversation with someone, only to watch you forget what it was you were doing and have to then refund the customer or some other misc. item. Safeway you should take a cue from Fred Meyer. Get some self scanning registers. I’d love it if you did. Then I could be in and out in no time and not worry about 10 people waiting in line at the 15 items or less counter, 5 of which have more than 15 items! I would have given them a 1 star but I do like the soups they have. Unfortunately they only put 2 out at a time, most of the time, even though there is room for 4. I think if the corporate office knew that you were only putting 2 out at a time they may not be to happy about this! I Think there was a reason they designed it to hold 4 soups. The bagels are ok. I wish the nothwest has a good bagel shop. Being from Boston, Safeway is not even close but at least they are better than the ones at Starbucks.

I am NOT a big fan of Safeway, particularly THIS one. This is smaller store, the meat departments suck worst than the normal SAFEWAY area stores. You feel tight and squished in when you travel through the store. Staff is helpful thats why they got 2 stars instead of one.
