Everything I ordered here so far was perfect. Love this place ’cause I can always satisfy my craving. Not mention they earned huge extra points today for bringing my pick-up order to my car knowing I had kids with me to make it easier. Very kind.

I enjoy their food, but tired of them asking me to pay with cash. They accept cards and my order was way over the $ 10 minimum. There were no problems with my card either. I now drive a little further to East Wok on Centennial Avenue.

Cheap greasy Chinese that is on par with mall food court Chinese. Can for sure eat here for cheap, but not worth the stomach ache that follows. It’s also possible that I just don’t like the Americanized Chinese food anymore since it doesn’t seem to agree with me… so take this review for what it’s worth!

Chinese food take-out restaurant One Walnut sits on the edge of downtown Cranford, so if you’re picking up, parking won’t be quite as difficult as it is in the busier areas of the township. But I, for one, appreciate One Walnut for its delivery, which has yet to have me checking the clock, let alone calling to find out what happened to the order. We live two miles from them and I don’t think it’s ever taken more than 30 minutes for the driver to show up. Another downtown Cranford Chinese restaurant took more than an hour to deliver our food, which by then was cold; I have not strayed from One Walnut since! One Walnut’s food proves average to excellent, so while they’re getting it ready in a reasonable amount of time, they aren’t cutting corners on quality. I stick with winners, and I’m sticking with One Walnut.

I never switched back to my old Chinese food restaurant after One Walnut opened. They make authentic Chinese food that has a home cooked flavor. They have my favorite fried rice and chow fun. They’re friendly, have fast delivery, and are definitely delicious.

This is the best Chinese restaurant in this town. The owners are so polite and a hard working family. Always has a nice conversation when your in for a pick up. Very friendly delivery guys too. Try their coconut chicken! It’s great! Def will order again!

I come here every Friday with my friends. Best boneless spare ribs from all Chinese spots I have been to in Jersey. The receptionist is awesome. The food here is consistent which is something of a rarity these days.

It was bad. I ordered a takeout after 9 pm when everything else was closed. Their rice was mixed with pieces of grey color bacon, eggs, and schmacks of unknown nature. When I crave fast food Chinese, I generally assume it to be bad for my health but I still devour it on those rare occasions. Not this one. Such a pity because their location is so convenient across the street from our building.

…easy parking at night at the RR station. Food once again went over well. All were happy with they selections and how it tasted. Price is avg. cost.

1 Walnut has become my default Chinese takeout place in Cranford, even though I pass two other Chinese places to get there. In general, whether you eat there or take out, it’s a very pleasant experience. I’ve always found the food to be fresh and flavorful, especially the very tender Four Seasons dish. My boyfriend enjoys it so much that he refuses to order it anywhere else, saying that other restaurants don’t compare. Though Chinese takeout joints are usually utilitarian-looking at best, 1 Walnut has a very pleasant, clean décor. The counter staff is always friendly and enjoys making small talk, and unlike many of their competitors, they’re very generous with condiments and fortune cookies.

This place sucks. Fast delivery but tasteless food. Don’t do it! Had to add that I even tried to pawn my leftovers onto my mom who cannot throw even the moldiest of food away… and she said it was so awful she had to throw it away!

I drove by this place many times thinking it would be just another Chinese place. I stopped by for take out after work and had my freshly made General Tso’s in 10 minutes. Fairly tasty, but it tasted like half the chicken was turkey?! Maybe it really was just another Chinese place.
