My husband and I actually prefer this location for Chinese/​Thai food to others in Cranford. They are quick, get the order right, and it tastes great! Love their shrimp egg rolls, drunken noodle (from the Thai menu) and also the beef curry from the Thai menu. Their Chinese options are your typical greasy/​saucy foods, but who doesn’t love that?!

Best take out, fast, fresh and excellent food! Have ordered here for years, always top of the game.

We have been ordering from Hunan Wok for years. One month ago we received our food and there was a hair in the lo mein. We thought maybe it was my son’s. We threw it out any way. We ordered last week and my daughter opened her container and there was a hair and she thought it was hers, but she threw out the food that had the hair on it. Then she found another hair and then another hair. Short black Asian hair. We all stopped eating and threw out the food. My daughter threw up.
I called and asked to talk to Leo but he wasn’t there. The woman on the phone said she was sorry and they would send another General Tso’s to replace the one with hair in it. Ummmm, let’s see… NO bleeping WAY!
I know they don’t use hair nets, so I suggested maybe they should. She said no. I WILL NEVER, NEVER, EVER, EVER eat here again. I am so disgusted and grossed out that I can not eat Chinese food now. I can’t ever trust their food any more. I keep picturing little black hairs in the food and it makes me sick to my stomach. My kids don’t want to order Chinese food anymore either. We are so happy cooking at home!

I’ve tried a few other takeout places in Cranford and Kenilworth but this place is by far the best. Big portions, fast delivery and good food. The quality of the food in similar to Main Moon in Clark so if you like that place you’ll like it here.
Also, there was no «language» issues with ordering so that was a nice plus.

Disgusting food! We ordered soups and Lo Mein; normally we go to Hunan Wok in Westfield, and apparently it’s a chain! What a disappointment; my stomach turns thinking about our experience! Don’t go there; the food is probably bought from the warehouse that was in the news lately with feces and rats!

Best Chinese food in Cranford. As we all know a good Chinese take out place is very hard to find, but I can assure you, if you are new to the area or just searching for good Chinese food, this is it. Very fast almost everything I’ve ever orders for pick up has been 10mins.

The best take out in Cranford!!! I am a repeat customer and have been for years. The veggies and meats are alway fresh and so it the rice. I have had bad take out and can tell if the rice is yesterday’s rice. But not here. My personal favorite is the wonton soup! Once again fresh fresh fresh. The broth is light and the wonton are light and tasty. I like my food on the spicy side and would like the spicy dishes to be a little hotter. But! Hey it’s take out and they have a broad customer base! They are always 15 mins for pickup orders when it is very busy. I prefer to pickup however I never had a problem with their delivery. I don’t really care for their Thai food menu I have tried multiple things from it. I just stick to their original menu. I enjoy their food to the point that I order something different every timeframe the original menu. We all know with take out we just all pick the same old «go to» dishes. But here don’t be afraid to change it up and explore other dishes you will not be disappointed!

While I’ve never had bad moo shu pork, Hunan Wok’s was the worst. It lacked in flavor. Instead of giving rice pancakes with it, they gave a steamed package of flour tortillas (LOL!)… good thing I don’t have gluten problems! I guess they ran out and thought I woudn’t notice? Their crab rangoon was decent. My husband ordered their pad kee mao, which surprisingly, was quite good and nicely spicy.

I’m confused by the other reviews for this restaraunt… one says it’s within walking distance and they are from Bridgewater and the other person lives in W.Orange. Are we all talking about the same place? The Hunan Wok in Cranford has amazing food, quick delivery, and polite service. There is no better in Cranford.

Terrible food — different every time, but the worst tasting «chicken» I ever had in that stuff. Ick! Dilapidated interior, looks like they do a lot of business and I liked the food the first time or two, but the next three times were all bad to worse…
