Pretty good place. Have had their cheese burger sub the times in a row. Cash only but that’s fine.

Always unbelievable!!! Sandwiches on good quality Italian rolls. How can you go wrong — potato, egg and cheese! Need I say more?

Great sandwiches! This place makes one mean frittata sub. You can get anything you want in your frittata; potatoes, onions, peppers, rabe, etc. The frittata is seasoned perfectly. This place is a dive inside and the clientele ranges from old italian women speaking italian to high school kids looking for a huge lunch. It’s always busy and when I went at 2pm the place was full. This place has remained off the grid and hugely popular. Next time you’re on Atwood ave take a lunch break and grab a Carmine’s Sub.

A simple Rhode Island Mom & Pop gem, serving up great Italian sandwiches and probably the best lentil soup I have ever had, hands down.

Cheap very tatsy subs, highly reccomend this place. Grab the chicken cutlet with lettuce, tomato, mayo, bacon and hot yellow peppers or steak and cheese. Cant go wrong for the price. Only thing is, Cash only and no ATM in sight.

Another strip mall hole in the wall that you’d probably drive by a thousand times before you ever stopped in. Carmine’s is run, I believe, by an older Italian couple who really remind me of my grandparents. So I was kind of sold right off the bat because of this. This is a sandwich shop — no table service, order at the counter, plastic booths. The menu has some interesting combination subs that you don’t see everywhere: Subs made with potatoes, eggs and a mixture of other vetebables or meats. Subs with escarole and pepperoni and potatoes. Nice, hot, hearty subs that really hit the spot. I’m not doing them justice. They also have plenty of cold sandwiches — Italian grinders, regular old lunchmeat, etc. You can also get omelettes, hot wieners, pasta and beans and more. The food is good — not really gourmet, but a down to earth«like you’d make it in your kitchen» kind of quality to it. The prices are fantastic. Check this place out. The place has character, the food has character, the people have character. A local hole in the wall that’s absolutely worth supporting.
