Just Fabric

I’m new in Rhode Island so I’ve been looking for a good independent fabric store that would serve my quilting needs. Having been disappointed by other stores, I pulled up in the parking lot for the first time and thought that at least it looks like a possibility. I opened the door and my first thought was…“oh, it’s small.” Hah! This store is packed with fantastic fabric! I found the watercolor print I need, a panel I don’t need but bought anyway as a back up just in case, and tons of ideas from all the beautiful high quality fabrics. The prices are totally reasonable. The store is neat and clean and the lady working there was so nice! Smiling comes easy to her. And she’s good at cutting the fabric. No, hurry up and who cares here… she cut my panel very neatly and I appreciate that. So many children’s fabrics, solids, watercolors… oh and if you like polka dots… more than you can imagine. There are decorator fabrics for the home but not something I was interested in at this time. Also it’s at ground level so you can just walk in… no stairs to bother with. I was so happy to find this store… I can’t wait til I need to go back. Walk around… don’t miss a nook or cranny!
Keep in mind that it is just fabric. I actually love the idea that it doesn’t have all sorts of craft items, vacuum cleaners, furniture, Wilton… it’s a Quilter’s Dream! I could go on about how impressed and happy I am with this store, but I think you get the idea… I love this store!

I have driven by this store several times and finally stopped in! The owner was there and was very helpful. My friend and I were looking for fabrics to use in her nursery and were able to find 3 coordinating fabrics for a crib skirt, curtains and sheets and only paid $ 55! They have a lot of cute prints that are not that expensive. I will definitely be back to look some more!

Don’t think that Unilocalers are lying to you because it really is Just Fabric. One of the workers was talking about making adding in a small shelf for thread, but currently they don’t even have that.
I found that there was more of a focus on upholstery fabric and other types, but the selection was vast for such a small store. It’s one of those places that you would easily drive by without checking out, unless you were purposely going there, and I would definitely purposely go there in the future.
I will have to say that it’s not the cheapest place I’ve been. I would like to find a place that has a good selection of remnant fabric at a cheap price. I’ll take any suggestions people have.
