Waitress pranced around the restaurant flirting with numerous men– only 4 tables occupied on the whole place, it was a slow night. Ordered beer and watched her walk by my table more times than I can count while she pulled up her shirt to show her midsection to appeal to the men at this specific table. Extremely unprofessional. Even let one of the patrons in the kitchen. Asked for the check after 10 minutes. Never got that beer either. Then she messed up the bill– couldn’t split the check between a couple credit cards. Ridiculous. Jon Taffer needs to come rescue this bar from horrible service. «SHUTITDOWN!»

Tried this place & was pleasantly surprised. The blood Mary’s were delicious. The wings were spicy(like I like them) and the chili was cooked perfectly-great blend of seasons. The bar was open, lets lots of natural light in. If you’re in the area deff stop in for a drink!

While I can’t speak to busier times here(I’ve only been here during a slower lunch hour), I have to say that I was quite impressed all around. When walking in, I was immediately greeted by the bartender(who is apparently part owner) and by the waitress who was upbeat, spunky and attentive. I really loved the décor and thought it was both hilarious and fun. I loved that the lights were wood logs and everything from the walls, to the bar and even the bathroom was pretty much wood. The drink specials were written in festive colored chalk and the overall vibe was modern, cool and fun. The waitress took the time to go through the different beer options and told me about a Yellowtail(normally known for their wine) draft beer available. She had mentioned that only 5 bars in the state had it, so I had to try. It was so tasty! I ordered the Sunny California(n?) burger and a side salad. The burger had avocados and a fried egg on it(ahhhhmazing) and was cooked to perfection. While I’m sure my waistline hates me right now, my taste buds were thanking me. Even the side salad and their homemade(if I remember correctly) dressing was on point. Service was quick and attentive and everything perfect experience-wise. I’m sure it’s a completely different vibe at night but for a calm, cool lunch hour — it was perfect. Will definitely have to head there again.

Love both locations in Cranston and Smithfield. A little bright if you’re looking for a bar atmosphere, but the food is consistent and they offer a good variety of good beer. Great vibe and have had great service every time at the Beaver.

I came in with low expectations, but was pleasantly surprised. The waitress was attentive, the service was prompt, and prices reasonable. We got the onion rings and buffalo tenders for appetizers — the onion rings were awesome! The buffalo tenders were big, tender, and spicy. My wife ordered the California burger, me the«Fungus Amongus» burger, and pasta for the kids. My burger was supposed to be «A grilled portabella mushroom» on a burger with blue cheese and spicy mayo; what I got was sliced button mushrooms with very little blue cheese. I asked the waitress if it was a mistake, and she went and checked. When she came back she said it was small portabella mushrooms cut up. She offered to make something else, so I got another burger with pulled pork(The Grizzly Bear) on it and it was delicious. The meat was cooked perfectly and the toppings were fresh. The pulled pork was excellent. The sauce on the kids pasta was really good too. This definitely warrants another visit. I thoroughly enjoyed this meal. The dishonesty with the mushrooms prevented it from being a five — you messed up, just admit it or fix your menu to be less deceptive.

This was our first time here, overall a great experience. The décor looks like a log cabin, very fitting for the name. We say at the beautiful wooden bar where we were greeted by two very friendly bartenders, Justin and Lauren. Justin gave us a quick rundown over what exactly they had on tap, making their extensive beer list less intimidating. We had quite a few beers but my favorite was the pineapple hard cider! We started off with an order of the buffalo honey mustard wings… They were delicious! I probably could of had those as my meal and been satisfied. For dinner I got the Rueben and my boyfriend got the pulled pork, both with waffle fries. The sandwiches were not as great as we had anticipated but they weren’t bad, just lacking a little in flavor. I can’t wait to go back and try more from the menu, especially some wings and more tasty beer!

I have ordered food from here before and it was excellent, so i decided to order again! I ordered the Moretti’s Out of This Park Pizza($ 11) and The Dozen Buffalo Wings($ 10). The wait was going to be about 20 minutes for takeout and when I picked it up the food came right out! However, the parking lot was packed and it was hard to find parking. The wings were good, not the best but still very good. The buffalo sauce was not too spicy, and came with bleu cheese and celery. The Pizza was also very good. I love the flat-bread grilled dough-excellent! The pink vodka sauce was not too heavy and there was a good amount of cheese on the pizza. The chicken that it was topped with was very moist and delicious! I would definitely come back to The Thirsty Beaver.

We kept hearing about this place and being a Cranston native, I had to check it out. Upon entering the establishment, the place was well decorated and pretty unique. The bar was huge and it was pretty busy on a Thursday night. It wasn’t overly crowded which was cool since we found a table for 3. I had the PBJ beer which was good. We weren’t hungry but the menu looked appetizing; I’d give the food a try next time. The service was quick and friendly.

I’ll give the joint a solid 4 stars based on my visit. Not a lot in the way of vegetarian or vegan fair. Decent beer selection. My brother loves his pulled pork sandwich. Decently priced, too, beer, apps, and meals for two under 40 bucks. Small menu but the portions are generous and it seems that what they do they do well. There’s an arcade game and a big flatscreen TV which from the vibe of the place I would imagine it mostly shows sports. Our waitress was lovely. Clean bathrooms, too. I’d go back for a beer.

This was such a find. Great craft beer draft selection, food was great, prices reasonable. Our server was attentive and friendly. The ONLY thing I found really weird is that when you ask for their draft list, the server gives you a handwritten list from her waitress pad. They should really print out the list and have it at the tables. Food we ordered and loved: Mac and cheese log roll Chicken wings honey sriracha flavor Kids fish sticks Kids chicken fingers Burger(forget the name) with mushrooms I’m a bit picky about food temperature and all food came out hot and the burger was a solid medium rare, as requested. The only food thing I wouldn’t recommend is the ghost pepper sauce. I got a side of it to try and it wasn’t that hot and it wasn’t that tasty. I don’t recommend it. Otherwise everything was perfect!

The waitress was so sweet and patient, for our large party. My cosmo just wasn’t hitting on anything though. She even offered to get me another and not charge for the one I didn’t like. Someone else in the party drank it, so I paid for it and just tried another Cosmo. Nope. No good again. But i just drank it and let it go. I did try some of the food others had(at their insistence). The vegetarian pizza, that had a drizzling of balsamic vinegar, was soooooooooooooooo delicious, with its’ thin crust. Yum yum!!! The wings were rather bland but not bad. It was a loud environment but I would love to go back in warm weather and sit outside.

The Grizzly Burger was good. It was a beef patty with pulled pork on top, onion rings, pickles and BBQ sauce. The bun held together well, the pulled pork was tasty but the burger patty was a little too well done since I ordered it medium. I had the sweet fries I also tried Mad Dog Bourbon. They have apple, blueberry, cinnamon, spiced, peach and regular. I had the regular Mad Dog Bourbon. Wasn’t to crazy about the taste, didn’t have much of a kick. Seemed too watered down for my taste.

Is OBSESSED too strong of a word for this place? Great food, great staff, great place! Kelly H. and I flew into Providence on our way to staying in Boston for the weekend. Starving, Kelly H. desperately Unilocaled a place to eat. We landed on the Thirsty Beaver, which is only about 5 miles from the airport! There was plenty of parking in the lot, and the building is hard to miss — a log cabin on the side of a busy road! We walked in and grabbed 2 seats at the bar. Lauren was our bartender, and she immediately felt like an old friend. She gave us great service, recommendations, and lots of laughs! She is a great bartender — she seemed to know everyone by name, which was awesome. I got a grilled cheese with pesto and a side of waffle fries. It was SOOOO good. My sister and I decided that we would come back in on our last day for lunch before leaving back to Orlando. We were excited to see Lauren again, and had yet another delicious meal and drinks. You also get a free«beaver shot» when you check-in with Unilocal, and Lauren made us some kind of yummy fruity thing. Yummm. All of the other staff was very friendly as well, and since I always make a music video for every vacation, I had to have Lauren and the beaver mascot in it! We will definitely return next time we are in the area!

I REALLY wish I could open my own Thirsty Beaver in Orlando! This was by far my favorite place to go to while on vacation! The staff here is amazing. Lauren made us feel like we had known her for years and definitely made our trip memorable! The food here is awesome! I had the Mac Attack log rolls my first visit which are egg rolls deep fried with mac n’ cheese and bbq pulled pork inside. My second visit I had a pizza special called Brady’s Back that consisted of turkey, avacado, tomato, bacon, cajun ranch and cheese! So delicious! They have a full bar and a great selection of craft beer on tap with ice cold glasses! I loved the laid back atmosphere! The place looks like a cabin and had a large bar inside with a bunch of tables and chairs as well and also offers patio seating which would be great on a nice day. We were always there during the day on a week day, but I did see that there are a bunch of events that go on at night such as trivia! Tip: if you check in on Unilocal, you get a free Beaver shot which is bartender’s choice!

I left the family at home for this one. I’ve been hearing about this place from friends who venture out after work and don a huge beaver mask while downing shots. With places on Atwood ave coming and going over the years — it’s good to see something succeeding. Plus, they stick with a Cranston theme with menu options like«The Elmwood Ave» and«Meshanicut Lake Dip». Venturing in for the first time — I was surprised to see nearly all community seating. Interesting use of the space and it definately helped maximize the seating. But this is about wings — forget the room. With a handful of selections available, I took my little corner of the bar and ordered the house buffalo(no levels of heat available) and the garlic butter jalapeño I had seen all over Facebook. Wings came out fast which is both exciting and disheartening. I knew right away with the size if the wing and the speed they came out that they would be undercooked. Unfortunately I was right. The skin was soft and a good amount of fat has yet to render. The wing was a great size and the meat was juicy — but the skin left a lot to be desired. The buffalo was simple. It was uninspired. Franks and butter has been done a million times. Even at the world famous Anchor Bar in Buffalo, NY I was shocked that my pilgrimage to the birthplace of the buffalo wing would end in a disheartened«meh». Go to any bar, order the wings — this is what you get. I was intrigued by the garlic butter jalapeño — but again was let down. While they were sauced to a T, it lacked flavor. The jalapeños added no heat and barely any flavor. The garlic butter was oily and didn’t hold a flavor of either. They were served with a cup of marinara sauce which was a nice touch — but didn’t make up for the lack of other flavors. Maybe it’s my palate preference, but I almost felt they would be better if I salted them. I can picture returning to the Beaver with a group of friends for some drinks — but I’d leave the wings off of the table. On a positive note — the French fries were tasty and you can tell the oil is taken care of. Long, thick and well seasoned.

Not to sound dirty but I love the beaver ! At first glance it’s kind of kitcschy with the wood and logs and Themed menu. Then you realize it’s actually quite charming. I go there once a week lately. The inside boasts a large bar that looks like it’s made of trees. The lights are made to look like logs. It’s a small Place but has a lot of seating. I prefer to sit at the bar. The bartender there is awesome. I can’t remember her name but she’s always there. She’s welcoming and friendly. She checks on you and makes sure your drink is kept filled and belly full. Speaking of drinks im a bit of a beer geek and am always on the lookout for a great craft beer menu. This place has it. Captions daughter. Dogfish head 120 minute IPA. It changes all the Time and the beer alone makes it worth going. The food though. The food. Again amazing. The burgers there. Juicy and cooked well. The waffle fries seasoned and tasty. The pizza grilled and generous with toppings. My favorite food there is definitely the apps. The log rolls which are egg rolls Come in a variety of flavors. I love the Mac and cheese with pulled pork. It is crispy Crunchy and flavorful. The wings oh the wings. They come in many different flavors but I have not had any others than the maple siracha ones because they are that good. Heat and spice and sweet all in one. If your looking for a great place to get some good food and good beer with great service this is the spot !

You can tell that management has really thought things through. The décor, the theme, the menu… everything is spot on and consistent. There are special nights for different events like karaōke, wing night, and taco night. The bar is big and inviting. Chalk boards line the walls with game times and drink specials. There are several board games and a fancy digital juke box available in the back of the dining area. It’s great to see that they really try to distinguish themselves from within the area’s inundated market of sports bars and gastropubs. I came in for the wings and stayed for the egg rolls. Oh man. Both flavors of wings we tried were tasty, but the sriracha honey were amazing. The steak and cheese egg rolls were out of this world. We tried a pizza from the special menu, a play on a big mac, and it was very well executed. Nice grilled crust. On top of all this, the waitress(Lauren) was kind, friendly, knowledgeable, and super attentive. She checked in on us just about every time she walked by and always with a big smile. She gave us great suggestions on items from the menu that made us want to come back again. She is an asset to the group and sign that management cares about the business and how it’s run. I’m so glad I found this place and see myself becoming a regular!

Gave this place another try after having a few good visits an a few bad ones. But I have to say. Everything we ordered recently has been perfect. Sundays are my favorite because the special is a buffalo chicken pizza(enough for three people) and a pitcher of domestic beer for $ 18. Amazing deal! We also ordered the fried pickles and an order of wings. The regular buffalo chicken wings are tasty and the fried pickles were good. My fiancé is always very happy with the Cranston Girls Wrap! And I have to admit, it is pretty tasty for something with no meat in it. One of my friends I was with ordered boneless buffalo chicken strips and was not impressed. However, I had them for leftovers and they were the BEST thing I’ve had from this place. Extremely tender and loaded with great buffalo flavor while still being crispy on the outside. They usually have a nice seasonal option for draught and my friends ordered the Traveler’s Shandy that was a pomegranate flavor. Sundays are great here because they have the game on. I try to come when there’s no music because the tv’s alone are pretty loud. But the visual layout and ambiance are very appealing to me and the bathrooms are always clean. Overall a great experience lately and my server was spot-on! I usually see her here all the time but I never catch her name. I will definitely be back sometime soon, no question!

Nice bar Came here for lunch on a Saturday afternoon with a couple of friends. The place wasnt busy at all and was seated right away. The bar is actually very nice, looks like a log cabin on the outside and in as well I thought it was a really cool touch and added to the bar. it also have two garage doors that they turned into windows which i thought was really cool. I cant speak for the food, all i had was drinks. but my friends enjoyed the food they had. and the drinks are very reasonably priced. I would definitely come back again.
