Yoga for the Peaceful is one of the reasons why I like Crested Butte so much. Their place is cute, warm and friendly. I am a dedicated yogi but not a hardcore pose yogi. My practice is slow, steady, spiritually based, and centered around the goal of making peace within myself and my body. Sometimes in new places it is hard to find a yoga center that is in alignment with my practice. YFTP was right in line with that. They offer slow flow and yoga basics classes multiple times a week, which is almost unheard of. I love it here and think you will too.

One of the hidden gems of the yoga world! If you have not yet been to Crested Butte then you are missing something BIG. If you have never taken a class from Monica Mesa at Yoga For the Peaceful, then you ate missing something BIGGER!

I took the easy flow class at 9 on Sunday. My wife’s gift to me for Father’s Day! I loved it. The studio is beautiful, with beautiful colors and lots for your eyes to feast on. There is a boutique that sells Cd’s, jewelry, clothing and other stuff. The vibe is exactly what I look for in a studio, sacred and ascetically pleasing. Juliet, my teacher was awesome. The class started off slowly and gained momentum. She played music while she taught, which I thought only added to the overall effectiveness of the class. Everyone was friendly too, even the front desk girl. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been put off by a studio when the front desk gives you attitude. When I walked out into the street, into the bright sunlight of Crested Butte, the farmers market was happening, which was so perfect. I love this studio and I love this town. How can we move here?
