So good! The meat is just how my grandma has always made it. Horchata is house made, and it is PERFECT. I’m hooked.

We checked out Lake Gregory right across this place, and decided to try out their tacos! Parking spaces right in front of the restaurant – entrance is upstairs. La Cocina de Tony didn’t have carne asada tacos so we got spicy pork, chicken and regular carnitas. Although the tacos were small portion, hands down one of the best taco joints! They also have the best salsa! We only tried their tacos, and it’s affordable. Great place especially with the lake view!

This place is so good!!! Even if it is to go and I always crave it! Their salsa is amazing too and they always give us some! It’s a plus that you can see the lake and the hillside above it especially when it’s snowing!!! This is probably my favorite restaurant up here!

Definitely not my favorite Mexican food! I used love this place but in the last few years it has seriously went down hill on food quality. I wouldn’t say it’s every time but it’s hit or miss. The tall gentleman who works there is very nice, wish I could say the same about the rest of the staff.

We ran away for a weekend in the woods and enjoyed a very authentic and delicious mexican dinner here. I had the odd wine-margarita — it was OK considering it was wine. I would just order a beer the next time ;)

This place is a joke. We got water and then sat there for about 15 – 20 mins whaching Other people Get Seated And Served Before us. We didn’t even get a menu. The waitress just walk past us like we where not even there. I would not even recommend this place to my friends dog.

I love this place. When I lived here full time we would eat at least once week. Now that we are part timers we make a point of coming here when we are are in town. The food has always been great and we specially love the fajitas. The salsa is great, the beer is ice cold and the prices are extremely reasonable. The owner makes a point of coming over to greet us and we have found the wait staff to be friendly.

Bad. Chicken tastes microwaved and cheery. Lady next to us had a rubber band in the food. Music way too loud. Service is lousy. Good view and good salsa and that’s about it. They need to step it up.

Great chicken tacos and salsa. When we lived in Crestline we had lunch there a couple times a week. We are no longer up there but still eat at Tony’s every time we visit Crestline.

Good Mexican food, reasonable prices but LOUSY service! I came here on a Sunday with my fam after walking around the lake and working up a little appetite. This is one of those places that after they serve you the food, that’s it, they’re done with you. Drink refills? Nope. Asking you how everything is or if they can get you anything else? Nope. Hey, good thing I didn’t want dessert! When they brought us our meal, I asked for ketchup for my daughter who was having French fries and the lady gave me stink-eye. Hey, I know this is a Mexican restaurant but they serve chicken nuggets and French fries on their kid’s menu. If they didn’t have ketchup, then she should’ve said they don’t, not sure what the attitude was about. Anyway, she never came back with the ketchup and I didn’t feel like hunting someone down to find any. Finally after we were all done eating, they dropped off the bill, which was reasonable. And truthfully, I don’t mind lousy service, that way I don’t feel guilty if I leave a lousy tip.

Great little Mexican spot in a small town with not many places to choose from. Nice traditional beans and rice, and the enchilada sauce was just right. The weather was perfect for my visit, and the patio with a view of the lake and surrounding forest is great! And it’s hard to complain about $ 3.50 coronas!

Toni’s is just ‘okay’. The food is edible and is your run-of-the-mill Americanized Mexican dishes. I think all of these type of restaurants get their ingredients at the same place. So, I basically look for service, cleanliness, friendliness, etc. Yes, service is slow. The décor is a little scary — thrown together mtn. thrift store shabby and not the cleanest place I’ve eaten. But, an okay place for Mexican on the mtn.

I have lived on the mountain for 25 years, and I used to like this restaurant the best out of all the ones up here. I have eaten here many times and recommended it to many people. Not any more after the past couple visits. They have changed their menu, the quality of their food has declined and so has their service. Yucky food at higher prices and terrible service. I’ve rarely been as disappointed eating out. Too bad, they used to be really popular!

In the past, this eatery has provided excellent Mexican Cuisine. The last two dinners I had(carne asada plate) caused some gastric distress and was not at all like the food I had enjoyed years earlier. It was extremely greasy and oily, and not up to their usual standards.

The menu is pretty extensive. The food is okay — not bad but not great. The portions are decent, so they get that credit. The major thing they have going for them is that they offer a terrific view of the lake when the weather allows for outdoor seating. Service: Wow, very slow. The servers are a bit«forgetful» when it comes to bringing things out and refills. The service should be much better considering the size of this place. It is tiny. The indoor dining room is cramped and always loud. If you’re outdoors, you may as well plan on taking your time, because you will be forgotten often. The servers are not rude or anything, just a bit harried. When you’re waiting to be seated, don’t expect to have anyplace to sit. There is no «lobby» and oftentimes you will be waiting outside in the snow/rain or squished up against the first row of tables with your body basically pressed against the diners. It’s unfortunate. I’ve actually visited this place several times, because(1) it’s convenient, and(2) it’s not horrible, like I said. Enjoy the view in the spring/summer, just expect the service. Oh, and parking… good luck.
