Évaluation du lieu : 2 Chicago, IL
Had a coupon for dine-in only that advertised«award-winning» food, figured we’d try a new place. Ambiance: There were 2 people at the bar and us. The music was louder than any nightclub I’ve been to, and this was 3:00pm on a Sunday. We could feel the bass from the music playing. The music playing was annoying and had lyrics like«I’m from Chicago bitch, this is how we F*CK in Chicago bitch.» Again, this is a comfort food & drink type of place according to the coupon, not a nightclub. We thought about leaving, but decided to give them a chance anyway. While we were there 2 groups of people walked in and left. I guess it’s not just us that were bothered by the music. They might have more success if the coupons were only for food to go. Food: Sandwiches come with soup and a side. The waitress said«our soup is chicken noodle, do you want it?» Of course we said yes, but it was the equivalent of what comes out of a can of campbells. We ordered a burger with no onions and a rare filet mignon grinder. The burger was loaded with grilled onions tucked under the cheese. The waitress noticed but didn’t say anything. My «filet mignon» grinder had steak cut into a large dice, with huge chunks of hard fat in it that I couldn’t chew. It was also well done. I’ve never had chunks of hard fat in a filet mignon before. The green peppers and mushrooms were fresh, which was great. The bourbon baked beans were fantastic, the meat on the burger was fresh and had great flavor. The bread tasted fresh baked, and was great as well. With the coupon our bill came to $ 14. Next time I would get a burger instead of steak and probably be happier, but I probably won’t be back.
