As I couldn’t finish my review, while I was at the Fenton store, I over heard a woman state,”I live within waking distance of the Olive store, but, I drive down to the Fenton store, because the Olive store was so pitiful. That confirmed my experience. My suggestion is to avoid Verizon store on 11439 Olive Blvd, period.

Many of the negative reviews for this store are old. I’m so glad I didn’t try to do business here a few years ago. If I’d read the reviews beforehand, I most certainly wouldn’t have done business here. But I did do business twice this year, and was VERY pleased. Today I returned to replace my phone because I’m an idiot and managed to place it in a cup of coffee. Again, the same crowd-​manager approached us as we entered, took my name for her waiting list, and kept us informed of how long before it was my turn. After a few minutes, it was clear by her responses that the rep who tried to help us was new and not so experienced. We asked to see Jake, who’d helped us the last time we visited. Jake knows the technical side of the equipment he sells; Jake knows the plethora of plans and offerings and quickly can choose one to fit his clients’ needs; Jake thinks outside the box to solve potential problems beforehand; Jake exudes integrity. What the heck more does anyone want? Nirvana! My needs were served. And that savvy crowd-​manager? When she thought I’d been there a while (remember, we opted to wait for Jake), she doubled back to see how she could brighten my experience by offering me water or directions to the powder room. It takes very good management to hire, train, and retain excellent people, and this office is doing it right!

Unfortunately, I went to this location in the fall of 2012. I should have followed the advice of other reviewers and stayed away, but I didn’t, and here’s what happened:
I’ve had Verizon for over 6 years, without an incident, but last year my phone began to die. No biggie, it was an older model, made by a less than reputable brand, and I was due for a upgrade so I popped into this store. I found a phone that I liked and met my very specific qualifications. The transaction and the upgrade went smoothly, and I went on my way. That evening, I noticed my calls were dropping. I didn’t think much about it, thinking that it may have been an issue with switching over to a new phone. The problem persisted for several days, so I returned to the store. After getting shuffled between a few different people, I was met with a fairly imcompetent technician. I was told my calls were dropping because of an app I downloaded, I countered that the problem started before I downloaded the app. (It was a recommended app by Verizon, btw.) Back and forth for about 30 minutes, I was told it was my SIM card. I didn’t understand how sporadic dropping could be a SIM card problem, but at the point I was willing to believe. The phone problems continued after installing a new card.
I returned the next day, waved to the people I had seen 24 hours earlier and was promptly told to wait. I can understand the need for order in a store, but when a customer has been in twice in the past week, you’d think they would expediate things. But no, I had to wait, retell my story, and ask for help. I was given all sorts of excuses and told all about Verizon’s policies, all of which failed to acknowledge this location had sold me a broken phone. I was first told that they would order me a new phone and it would be shipped to my home. That would not work for me, I required a phone for work, and having a non-​usable phone was begining to effect my job performance. Queue another round of debate, where I was assured this was Verizon policy, until the manager decided to something «extraordinary» and replace my phone. Exhausted, but satisfied, I left.
That evening, my new phone began showing the same issues. A quick round of Googling proved that the problem was with the phone, and that many people were having this issue. The next day, I returned to the store, and had to wait again. Here, I flat out told Verizon I was unsatisfied with the product they are selling. The young lady behind the counter was apologetic and did some research: she admitted that the phone series was defective, and they was a patch on the way, but it could take several weeks. Obviously, that would not work for me. There were various models in the same price range, but none matched my specifications, the and next model up that had what I needed was an extra $ 50 dollars. Out comes the manager, who first told me there was no problem with the phone. I told her the assistant had confirmed it, and the glare she delivered to that poor girl proved that I was not dealing with a trustworthy person. Here comes another hour of negociation, ending with me forking out $ 50 and all respect I have for Verizon. You’d think a reasonable company would be willing to eat the money after subjecting a long-​time customer 8 hours of in-​store frustration and keeping them from working for over a week, but sadly no.
After the fact, I contacted a friend who worked for Verizon and was told that the store had acted inappropriately. Verizon knew the phones were defective, and that the manager could have easily cleared a 50 dollar rebate, they just chose not to. In fact, he’d never heard of a customer having such a difficult time; the management clearly was being unreasonable.
After this experience, I’ll be leaving Verizon the day my contract is up, and it’s due solely to the actions of this store. I advise others to learn from my mistake, and stay away. They are not reputable and do not have the customers intrest in mind.

I will pray to the cell phone gods that I never have to return to this store…
Middle of the day, store full of customers, and three (not one, three!) of the sales staff decide to demonstrate some remote controlled helicopter instead of waiting on customers! My husband complained, and received comments of agreement from two other customers.
Once the salesperson who helped me realized that my company has an account worth the real estate value of the city of Chesterfield (his comparison, not mine), he was as nice as could be. I also found this distasteful.

These guys were more interested in playing with some damn helicopter than assisting customers. Addressed this concern to the manager and he blew me off. Said something to two other employees and then asked for the manager again. Read him the riot act but don’t think it made much of a difference…
There are plenty of other VZW stores and I won’t be back to this one anytime soon.

Accepted a preorder for a new iPad prior to the release date and had one ready for me. Staff was aware of who I was and why I was there upon identifying myself on day of pickup. They had no problems with the fact that I had no interest in their cases or accessories and activated my account quickly. Everything seemed very professional will consider Verizon upon expiration of my Sprint phone contract.

Over the years, we all have had frustrating experiences at cell phone provider stores.
This Verizon location is a refreshing model of customer service.
I’ve been using the Creve Coeur Verizon store for my last few purchases, and the staff is really knowledgeable and helpful. While I’m sure that there are times when they get really busy, I’ve had great luck the last few times and didn’t have to wait at all.
Anytime I need something with Verizon, this is where I’m headed.

I’m not a fan of publicly complaining about a company without a legitimate reason; so writing this review isn’t something that comes lightly for me. But after the awful experience my parents and I had here yesterday, I had to post my thoughts.
Let me caveat this story by saying my family and I have been loyal Verizon customers for YEARS. And we typically have positive experiences with the store and their service representatives. However, yesterday, I went into Verizon’s Creve Coeur store, hoping they might be able to help me with my palm pre phone. The battery, which is less than a year old, has quickly deteriorated to the point that it won’t even last HALF a day without needing to charge it.
Now, let me point out that my job requires me to be on call ²⁴⁄₇. If I don’t have a functional phone, there would likely be some pretty bad ramifications for me. So, the fact that I can’t trust my Palm Pre to last a full day is a major issue.
I brought this issue to the manager on duty at the Creve Coeur store, who essentially told me that all Palm Pre phones have bad batteries and I’m stuck with it until the 20 month point of my contract when I can get a new phone.
So, I ask — if you’re telling me this was a bad phone to begin with, why wouldn’t I have the option to exchange the phone for a different model today?
He responds — I never said it was a bad phone.
Really? So a phone that has a bad battery can still be good? REALLY? Because I’m fairly certain if a phone doesn’t have a working battery it doesn’t matter one bit what jazzy things it can do, because it won’t have power to do them.
Well, we went around and around on this for awhile, he tells us we can file an insurance claim (which, BTW, has a higher deductible than purchasing a new battery for the stupid thing); finally, my mom asks why my sister, who also has a similarly crappy phone, went into the Verizon store in Davenport, Iowa and was given a new battery, no questions asked? He tried to explain it, and finally we asked if he would just give me a new battery. After a few more minutes of painful back and forth, he finally agreed to send me a new battery.
I hope none of you have to go through an experience like this. Having to argue with someone who was supposedly in charge of the store was sadly unfortunate. Not once did he apologize for the poor quality of the product, nor did he try to proactively help me find a reasonable resolution to my problem.
This incident has left a bad taste in my mouth. Such a bad taste that AT&T isn’t looking so bad anymore.
