Lemongrass was great, and seemed to improve over the last few years, but this location is closed down. Annapolis location has always been better, but sad to see this one go. Try Saigon Noodle House, next strip mall over, less atmosphere, but amazing food.

We randomly stopped back here and we’re really surprised. Our food tasted great and the service was good. Of course there were only 2 tables of people so I would expect good service. The portions have increased but the prices have increased. Still this place has gone back to being really good and we will be heading back more frequently.

I ordered the crab meat fried rice dish for pickup one evening purely based upon a previous Lemongrass experience at the Annapolis location. Although I read a few reviews that indicated that the restaurants are no longer related or under the same management, the food was still satisfying and lasted over the next day or so. I will admit that the rice was cooked perfectly and I expected more crabmeat and veggies, the meal in general was not quite worth the roughly $ 13 paid for it as it was more of a 80:20 ratio of rice to crabmeat. The scallions very few and far in between(maybe 2 – 3 pieces at best) so I would love if Lemongrass could incorporate more veggies in the dish so that is more balanced and not as carb heavy.

I was immediately concerned when I saw a posting on the glass in the foyer stating«we have one cook, one chef, and one server. We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your patience. » Oh boy. The place was almost empty and I was really REALLY concerned when I saw and heard the couple across from me stand up and say«here(handing the server the check), we have to catch a movie. « “Oh well,» I thought. «I’m not in a hurry.» I sat, and immediately ordered a thai iced tea, which came promptly. When my friend arrived, we ordered 2 different variations of the lemongrass. Maybe we were talking a lot, but it didn’t seem to take long to get our food. Personally, I devoured my seafood lemongrass with scallops, mussels sn other seafood. My friend made haste of his meal as well. My only complaint was the bamboo shoots; not very edible and more bamboo than shoot. the end, maybe we lucked out with the restaurant being so empty, but the fo8d was good enough and fast enough for me to come back.

I’ve gone to Lemongrass on one other occasion, and came in with high standards for the food. The Drunken Noodle was awesome and the Panang Curry was excellent. The Red Curry wasn’t quite as good as the Panang, but we really enjoyed all three. A couple of us split the three dishes and couldn’t complain. They dumb the spice down for Americans… so ask for it to be spicy if that’s the way you want it! Fast water service and friendly waitress. 8pm on a Sunday, just us and a table of 8. I’d go back again for sure.

We have been there a few times, service and food are consistent. Funny part about 2 years ago, we were going to Thailand for a trip, I was very looking forward for real Thai food. I was logging for«real» Lad Na– food I ate many years ago in Thailand. So I ordered it, I have ordered the same dish many other places, I was disappointed here as well. it is NOT the same. We were chucking with each other. Food at restaurants in Bangkok were too sweet in taste. Street foods there were cheap and excellent. Guess what we ended up coming back here again. Are we americanized? I dunno. There is another store in Arlington the same name. I like that store too. I am sure it is NOT related. So if you want to try«Authentic» Thai food, try this place. you will not be disappointed.

I’ve eaten at the sister restaurant(Lemongrass Too) in Annapolis once before, so I thought I should try the original. Located in a strip mall of sorts in Crofton, Lemongrass serves authentic modern Thai cuisine. My groupon was due to expire in a few days and since they only accept them Mon-Thurs, I was forced to stop by on a early Thursday evening, or forfeit the value of my groupon. The restaurant was completely empty when we arrived. It was so empty, I actually had to think twice if I wanted to stay there. Nevertheless, a very nice server greeted us and sat us down immediately. Plenty of Asian décor was strategically placed throughout the restaurant, along with a few fish tanks. The restaurant was clean and neat, but it could stand to get a face-lift because it looks a bit dated. We placed our order and in a matter of moments, our food was brought to our table. We ordered spring rolls, crab fried rice, veggie fried rice and drunken noodles. All of the food was really good, especially the drunken noodles and fried rice dishes! I appreciate the fact that the fried rice dishes weren’t greasy or overly cooked. The spring rolls were just okay, I’ve had better. As we ate, more and more people started to trickle in. Our server checked on us several times and was available for refills. All and all, I’m really glad we didn’t let the emptiness of the restaurant deter us from staying. Delicious food, great service and a wonderful experience.

Ok. 1. It was like $ 45 for both of us with tip included. We had one Green Papaya Salad hold the shrimp which they substituted for lettuce, one order of spring rolls, and two Vegetable fried rice hold the eggs. With water. 2. the tip is already included in the check at 15% and it was just 2 of us eating on a Thursday afternoon. The place is gigantic and it is clean and nice, although a bit old fashioned but nevertheless very nice. 3. The entrée size is a good amount no not good it is very nice. I mean we had the place to ourselves. It was Thursday afternoon. 4. Authentic Thai taste(well as authentic as can be a Thai place in Md.) Would we come back? No, not really. We are Vegans and we were missing some Thai food and decided to try this place out and even though the food was as authentic Thai as could be it still was missing something and for the way we eat it had to much oil. Also it is on the pricier side.

Really good thai food, the drunken noodles with chicken(ask for extra spicy) is fantastic. The service there is really slow though, so we only get take out now. Pretty reliable and prompt 10 – 15 minute turn around time from call to pickup which is nice. There was a management shift a while ago. Prior to that, the service was unbearably slow. You could be the only person in the restaurant and it still takes 45 minutes to get out of there. It’s better with the new folks but still not exactly quick.

We have gone to several different Thai spots in DC, Annapolis, and Baltimore and this place ranks right with the best of them even though we are here in the burbs! It’s large, so often the tables are not fully filled but the food and the service is superb and will not disappoint you. Give this place a try!!!

This place was good. I am not familiar with the former owners so I have nothing to compare it to. My husband loved the Larb and the yellow curry was good. We both enjoyed the pad Thai. And we both really liked the crispy green beans. I could eat a whole plate of crispy green beans myself if given the chance! A little pricey but I have yet to find a Thai place that isn’t pricey.

We were the only people in the place from 630 to about 715 on a Thursday night for dinner. We tried the crispy string beans as an appetizer. They were very greasy and had a weird sauce… I had the spicy eggplant and my bf had the pad sie uw. So so salty, all of it. The eggplant was fried and breaded. My bf commented that he thought the beef in his meal was defrosted recently. Gosh, I really wanted to like this place.

I stopped in on a Sunday evening, and it wasn’t very crowded. I received a friendly greeting when I walked in and I was promptly seated. My order was taken and served pretty quickly so the service was great. I had a simple order of Tom Yum soup and rice that was nicely prepared.

Today is my sisters birthday and when I asked her where she wanted to go she said Lemongrass. So I ran to Unilocal and saw the terrible reviews on service and food. I actually called my sister and asked her to please change her mind. She said no and insisted that we still come and I am so glad that she did. The food was pretty good. I ordered a Mai Tai, and steamed dumplings. They were moist and not too chewy. My sister ordered fried tofu which had no taste. The star of the night was her shrimp fried rice. It had great flavor and you didn’t even need soy sauce. For dessert she ordered the sticky rice and mango. The waitress was so nice that she added extra coconut custard. At the end of the night we were full and happy. I will be back!

HORRIBLE Service!!! I walked into the restaurant and say at the bar with only two other customers in the restaurant and it took fifteen minutes to be given a menu. I then waited another ten minutes after I had decided what to order without anyone returning. I finally just left. I will never return to this location.

I’m all for energy conservation but the place was dimly lit during afternoon hours. I was surprised that they offer gift certificates but automatically charge 18% when redeeming them. I’m not in love with that concept. Fighting a cold, I originally went in for soup before visiting the hair salon next door. I opted for the minced chicken lettuce wraps. I am used to having the chicken warm but this time it was cold. Nevertheless, all items were fresh and flavorful without any of the ingredients being overpowering. I was surprised that there was no one in the place. I chalked it up to the snow. From all appearances, the areas were clean and the young lady who took my order was helpful and pleasant. I think I’ll give them another go and get deeper in the menu.

Great food, love the Thai iced tea too! Nice little play area for the kiddos while you eat. Never too loud or crowded

Simply the most relaxed enjoyable family restaurant we’ve visited in a long time. Food was fantastic, & they were very accommodating with kids — they even had an entire room playground for the kids with chalk walls and toys! Strongly recommend that curry with shrimp although it is spicy even though not marked so. Kids’ dishes and meals were perfect sized and delicious.

New Owners in 2014. The lemongrass of Annapolis group treated this location as a bast*rd stepson, but its turned around now. Just needs to rebuild clientele. I had: lemongrass soup, chicken satay, crispy wontons and sweet and sour chicken(not a chinese version for the record). All food was super tasty and bright rich flavors and fresh ingredients. Give this spot another try Unilocalers!

Wow, a 2.5 overall stars on Unilocal? No wonder! I didn’t even look up this restaurant before visiting a few weeks ago, so I had no idea it had such abysmally low ratings. I didn’t think the experience was all that terrible, but it certainly does not warrant any more than 3 stars. I visited a few weeks ago with a fairly large party(there were about 20 – 30 of us) on a Thursday evening. It was nice that they accommodated such a large party and it was also nice that they have a kids’ play area and plenty of aquariums around to amuse the kids. What was not so nice was the service — they were extremely slow about bringing out the food and it came out at awkwardly staggered intervals. The service was slow with water and other beverage refills as well, which is not great at a Thai restaurant where the food can get spicy. I decided not to be too adventurous so I ordered my usual chicken Pad Thai. My dish was pretty decently sized and it was tasty enough. However, my aunt ordered the Pad Pak(fresh mix vegetable stir-fried in garlic sauce with choice of chicken, beef or pork) and she said it was extremely mild and had no flavor at all. She ended up having to send it back but still did not enjoy it very much when it came back. Since there are so many other Thai restaurants in the DMV area, I would suggest going elsewhere.
