Ordered 99 To-Go tonight. Parking lot was full and two of the three«pick up only» designated spots were clearly being used by diners inside the restaurant. Food was ready in the expected time I was told. Portion sizes were good, although extra containers of salad dressing & cocktail sauce were needed for the large salad & fried shrimp. Opening the styrofoam container for the entrée, my food looked sloppily thrown together. My sirloin was a bit charred on top as were my fiancée sirloin tips. The loaded mash potatoes had a lot of cheese & bacon on them and my fiancée’s chicken tenders were crispy and tender.

This is a pretty good chain restaurant akin to say an Applebee’s or UNO’s. I’ve been here a few times now and it’s been decent every time. The staff is always very friendly and efficient. There’s a nice variety of food. I love their hot buttered lobster roll(YUM!). The lobster meat tasted very fresh and they give you a good amount of it too. Delicious! Also, I must say that they make a darn good Dark n’ Stormy. It’s surprisingly hard to find places that make a decent one, but they nailed it.

99 is a solid choice for a chain restaurant. Their prices are good, even for typically pricey items like ribs or lobster bisque. Strangely enough, their lobster bisque was better than I’ve had at many high end restaurants and actually had lobster chunks in it. They’ve recently renovated this location, so it’s got a really nice feel to it inside.

This place is horrible. Beyond horrible. 99 used to be one of my favorite chain restaurants to go to. They have an expansive menu, the prices are decent and the food was always reliable. I came here for dinner recently and it was SO disgusting I will never return to another 99 ever again. My daughter had chicken fingers and french fries. The fries had so much salt on them that they made you cough after eating just one. She’s 3. What 3 year old doesn’t eat french fries? Her. She didnt eat more than one because she said«Mommy these are yucky.» Chicken fingers were covered in breading and were hard to even recognize. Pieces were over fried and so crispy you couldn’t bite down on some ends. I ordered the top sirloin steak with mashed potatoes and corn. When the waitress first brought it, she asked me to cut into it. I had ordered it medium. What was brought out was easily medium rare. It was almost gummy inside. She apologized and said they would cook it longer. After 5 minutes, the manager came back with the dish and asked me to cut into it again. When I did, the piece I cut into seemed okay. I said thank you and he left. After cutting into the steak more, I saw that the top was so over cooked and the bottom was so raw and fatty that I gave up on eating it. When I tried the potatoes, I almost burned my mouth they were SO hot. Which makes me think 1 of 2 things. First, they microwaved the plate. The potatoes weren’t that hot the first time around and now they are? The steak was horrific the second time around and had the appearance of being microwaved. Second, they just don’t know how to cook steak. The waitress swore up and down that they cooked it on the grill and not in a microwave when I asked her. I refused any more food and told her to take the plate away. She took it off the bill and apologized. Now here is where they get one star: At NO point did the manager ever come over again and apologize. In fact, I was waiting for him to come over and say something especially after the 2nd time. Nope. Never happened. If you could care less about the type of food you are serving, why in the HELL are you in the food service industry? This place is a disgrace. And, the manager should be ashamed of himself for handling the situation the way he did. I can’t wait to tell people to stop patronizing 99. There are so many other great choices in the area. Never again.

OK so it has been a long time since I went to the 99 because the last time my experience was so bad. My sister in law wanted to come here for her birthday and I was impressed. The inside had been completely done, and instead of all red sox, it was decorated classy with local photos of sports teams or historical buildings. The service was OK. The same manager was there and seemed to have made amazing improvements. The food was definitely better quality again. I am glad they seem to have taken the feedback and made improvements. It was very busy for a Friday night and everyone seemed happy! I had the honey bbq crispy chicken wrap which was great! The french onion soup did not taste like dishwater, it was actually very yummy, and the french fries were OK.

This is one of my fave places to go! I have more food alergies than I care to name. They cater to my every need. I really wanted a steak one night after getting over the flu & getting my taste buds back. & they were not sure what they were spiced with, so the cook came to my table & said that if I didn’t mind a little bit extra of a wait, he would get me a plain one cooking. The service is always good & so is the food. This place is great for just my husband & I or the whole family(kids & grandkids). The one night we had an issue(a new waitress her 1st night & she decided to repeatedly hit on my son with his gf sitting there) the manager came out to personally try to make things right. Another thing is that after I had been going in there about a ½ dozen times they started to remember me. I will get things like, «I know you have allergies. Please refresh my memory so we can make sure we take care of you» or «No onions, right?» I like being spoiled & we always tip well as they alway deserve it!

I’m not usually a fan of the 99’s, but needing to grab a quick meal that wasn’t fast food I was convinced to give this one a try. Honestly, I’m glad I did. I had a delicious macadamia nut crusted chicken breast over red skin mashed potatoes topped with asparagus spears and some kind of lemon zest sauce. The food was great, aside from the rather anemic and scrawny asparagus spears which despite their appearance tasted fine. Service was prompt and the wait staff was average. Parking was OK — its in its own portion of a rather large lot. The atmosphere was crap — I’m always rather surprised when a place billing itself in part as a pub is overrun by yelling screaming children. And as always where tons of children are strewn about there also must be the attendant mess. If not for that I’d have considered giving four stars.

Not impressed by this place. For starters, forget about coming here if you’re vegetarian. Virtually no options. Our waitress spent the longest time going into excruciating detail about just about every meat and seafood entrée. We settled for some drinks. It took forever for the drinks to come out. «The bar is making them,» we were told. About 15 minutes later they came out. My frozen margarita was mostly melted. The taste wasn’t so good and the lime was brown. My friends Long Island iced tea was nothing short of terrible. I won’t be coming back. Our waitress tried to be nice, but the combination of slow service and mediocre drinks didn’t go over too well. At least they had the Sox game on the TVs.

This is the best 99! Here is why: came in late with my wife and thought we were too late for food. The staff was so cool and made it seem like they really wanted us to sit down and eat. The bartender recommended beers they had on special and the food came out fresh and hot. We will be back for sure.

We’ve been here a couple of times recently(Jan & Feb 2014) and enjoyed the food. We’ve had the meatloaf, baked schrod, and chicken parmigiana. Service was good — table benches very comfortable.

Eating in is no problem. If you like Deny’s this place is for you. Ordered take out three times, all has problems. First one they forgot to give folks. Second time, they forgot dressing for my salads, finally, they forgot my breads. This is three straight in a row. And I did ask them to double check before giving it to me. The girls bought it out to my car with a big smile«yes, we’ve checked it and everything is good». Tipped her, drove back, open the bag, and guess what? They screwed up again!

meh. the food is whatever. 2.5 the staff was not knowledgeable(our girl was new). The ran out of cups, and knives, and something else. We were seated quickly, but everything else was slow going. Everyone got their meal, but one person had to wait for their salad for 10 mins. The girl who brought the food was mean… to say the least… dropped the plates, said they were hot, but they weren’t…you just dropped them. I would give this place 2 stars, but hopefully it was an off night… and also, we had a fussy baby, and rambunctious toddler, and no one gave us any attitude(at least not for the kids) and our free popcorn was a wee bit burnt… but it was free.

Not bad. It’s the 99. Forced décor, average food, and salty popcorn. The booth-only seating is anti-groups over four people. They do have some booths in the center, and they’re able to take down the divider between them if you have a large group. I can imagine that during busier times the wait will be a while for this arrangement. The decorations. Oh god, the decorations. You know those shirts that just say«Beer»? Well, that’s how they decorate the 99. It’s the cheesiest mess I have ever seen. It’s this forced, fake antique(yet spotless and new), cluttered mess. Just leave the walls bare if this is the best you can do. I ordered a Tropical Chicken Salad. The ginger dressing was pretty good. The orange slices were a bit mushy, but not awful. The chicken was moist and tender. Overall, it was pretty good. The service was good and prompt. The décor will make you want to rip out your eyes. The food was pretty good. A-ok.

Decent meals at fair prices. The food can be hit or miss depending on what you order, and the steaks always come out underdone, so if you’re not a fan of mooing meat, order it well. Budweiser Select drafts are usually the best deal at $ 1.99, and kids eat free when the Red Sox win!

This is in my neighborhood, so I tend to visit once in a while. I’m on a very strict medical plan for the time being, so I have be the annoying customer sometimes when I go out to dinner. I like this place because I can always find something I can have on my diet. In fact, there are a few things I can doctor to eat on my plan. I do love that. The service is usually pretty good. Sometimes I find that as a solo diner with a book I tend to get lost in the shuffle, as I am one person and obviously my tip won’t be as big as one from a table full of people, but most of the servers here are attentive. The best part of any meal is that if I’m allowing myself to have a treat, they have those tiny little desserts. They’re cheap, and microscopic compared to some places’ brownie sundaes, but if you want to, you can eat them in tiny bites and make them last! I love the peanut butter one.

This 99 Restaurant is on the east side of Shunpike Road. They have their own parking area. We found service at this restaurant to be no-nonsense and fairly efficient. Our server definitely knew what she was doing. Meal prices were not unreasonable either, now that they have $ 9.99 specials. Finally, the complimentary popcorn is a neat starter to the meal. I wish 99 hadn’t closed their Pennsylvania location, which was much more convenient for me. Connecticut is a long distance away and I’m there only once a year.
