Excellent experience. For a Friday night, we were seated very quickly. Our waitress was amazing(she said she worked there 7 years. I forgot her name). Our food all came out perfectly. Tasted so good. It all came out at the same time(no waiting for ½ your meal), For a while, this restaurant was struggling. We would get ½ our meal then 20 minutes later get the rest of the food. I’m glad this restaurant is doing better! I would recommend.

We went on a Friday. There were four people in our group. Two of us got the rainbow trout, and two got the fish fry. I got the cod fish fry. It was pretty good. The only complaint I have about the food is the steak fries there don’t really have much taste at all. The real high point was the waitress. She was so kind and patient with us. She got malt vinegar and ketchup for us as soon as we asked for it. It was all around an excellent meal.

Love Cracker Barrel for what it is. My experience was pretty typical for a Cracker Barrel. Friendly people, good service, not slow. Not sure what happened with others reviews but my experience was good all around.

The server was good, I ordered corn bread and she brought one muffin out that was very hard so she brought extra biscuits because she didn’t think we would like the corn bread. The rest of our meal was good.

Awful! Slow and rude service. Waited 30 minutes for takeout, for which I called 20 minutes ahead. Got the food and it was cold. My daughter’s scrambled eggs and bacon was inedible, burned, and rubber like. We eat at Cracker Barrel often on the

If there was a «minus» star I would use it! My husband and I were at this Cracker Barrell Thursday, March 26. Granted, we didn’t get there till about 9:35pm. But the time cannot be the reason for the absolutely horrible service and the nasty food we rec’d. I normally love CB, and this one is only about 5 miles from our home so we eat there often. My husband ordered a chef salad and asked what soup was available. The waiter said they were out of soup. So he told him to bring him a bowl of pinto beans. I ordered Grandma’s breakfast, which is pancakes, choice of bacon or sausage, and eggs. I ordered bacon and scrambled eggs. I went out to look around in the store, and while I was gone the waiter came back and said I had another side coming, what did I want, so my husband told him fried apples. When we got our order, the waiter said they were out of apples, and brought gravy. Don’t understand being out of apples. Go out into the store and get a jar, open them, heat them up and serve them! But my husbands meal was the worst! The pinto beans looked like a glob of something that they hadn’t even bothered to stir before putting it in a bowl. There was no liquid in the beans, just a glob of beans. The lettuce in the salad was not fresh, and it was supposed to come with 2 deviled eggs, which the were«out of»! My husband called the server over, and told him the beans weren’t acceptable, the waiter just grabs up the bowl and heads to the kitchen. My husband called him back to the table, and says“that’s it, you’re just going to take it away”? My husband gets up and goes looking for the manager. He finally comes to the table, and we explain what had happened from them being out of things, to the servers attitude. He says he will look into it and leaves. A little while later the server comes back and apologized, but with an attitude. The manager never checked back to see how things were. They did however, take the price of the beans off the bill!!! The manager was the one who rang us up at the register, never apologized or anything! They were only interested in closing and getting out of there. Will be taking the 2 shirts that I purchased back!!’

Like I Said in the checkin I was seated promptly. After 15 minutes I just left. It’s embarrassing when other customers notice you haven’t been waited on and four other tables that were seated after you already have their orders taken and have drinks in front of them. Bad service day? Maybe but those that came in after me were serviced… so I don’t know. Will I go back? Never say never but it’s doubtful.

Cracker Barrel usually serves a solid and tasty meal for a chain restaurant but this meal wasn’t quite up to par. The roast beef was okay but tasted somewhere between one of those pre-cooked entrees you buy at the grocery store and a usual CB meal. The biscuits weren’t hard tack or anything but weren’t as fresh as usual. At least the fried okra was fresh and hot. On the plus side, they sell Moon Pies and pecan logs in the store so I was able to get a couple of those for the long road trip ahead. This place is okay if you’re staying nearby but I’d choose a different location along the road given the choice.

Food was average at best, service slow and inconsistent, and when all food was served, that is when they choose to tell my son his choice isn’t in stock any longer. Terrible and indignant attitude from manager !!

Thoroughly mediocre family feed place. Everyone can find something decent to eat but no one will find anything particularly interesting. Country cookin’, kinda. I tend to stick with the breakfast menu but forego the coffee — I’m too snobby for that poor potable they put forward as a cup o’ joe. Breakfast features the one thing they do well: the hash brown casserole. Try that. Service is okay. Décor the same.

The day after I ate here CNN announced that Huntington, WV is the fattest city in the nation(way to go, guys!). They must all eat at Cracker Barrel. That country eatin’ really busts your gut. I had the grilled chicken BLT, only because I ate so much red meat in WV, I needed me some chicken. This chicken, however, was smothered in melted cheese, bacon, and mayo on Texas Toast. Damn it was good. The Country Store was mostly Christmas decorations when we were there, and since we were traveling I wasn’t going bother looking at anything. They did have a cute Thanksgiving board game, some nice rocking chairs, and the biggest Sugar Daddy I’ve ever seen. We bought some fried apples(can’t wait to fry those up for Thanksgiving!), and Bone Suckin’ Sauce. If I ever go to a Cracker Barrel again, I’ll get the shepherd’s pie. The fella at the table next to me had one and I couldn’t stop staring at it.

No. Just no. Don’t even think about it. Yes it’s convenient if you are staying at the hotel right beside it but don’t give into the temptation of convenience. My husband and I got caught up in convenience and went to eat there. He ordered Chicken and Dumplings with cucumber and tomato salad as a side. I ordered the Chicken Fried Steak with hash brown casserole, pinto beans, and fried okra. The only thing that had any flavor was the fried okra. The pinto beans and the hash brown casserole had no flavor. The Chicken Fried Steak had barely any gravy on it and also lacked flavor. I wanted to like the food. I hadn’t had Chicken Fried Steak in years. I was excited about partaking in some southern comfort food. The excitement quickly left as I started tasting my meal. I was tired and starving and wishing we had chosen a different restaurant. There was one good thing about our visit and it was our waitress whose name was Kailee. It was because of her kindness that there is even one star.
