The only reason I’m giving 2 stars is that I enjoyed the generous portion of French fries. Otherwise, this place has become a total farce. I always enjoyed a good corned beef sandwich or Reuben sandwich from here in the past. The meat was plentiful and just what well-prepared beef should be. Imagine my disgust when I got home with over $ 16 worth of 2 double corned beef sandwiches and the meat was processed mystery meat. The color was right, but that was all. What a disappointment.

Before this place opened I only got a gyro from one place and once place only because nowhere else was as good BUT after going out on a limb and trying it at Pops I’m inlove, it was everything a gyro should be. Everything I’ve ever tried here was absolutely delicious!

The restaurant is reasonably clean and a pleasant environment. The food was better than average, but the beef was a little dry and the hamburger had its toppings on the bottom(little things count). Overall pleasant fast food experience.

Went last night I asked for red sauce on the side since it came on my beef and cheddar didn’t they charge when its put on the side and not on the sandwich which makes no sense I asked for a number to corporate and the manager says they do not have it if that’s the case how can corporate keep their customers happy

DONOT go inside unless you want to be grossed out. Use the drive through. The inside is so old, dirty and smelly, I can’t really believe that they are ever inspected. The gyro sandwiches are great. I thought that the soups were home made, until I ordered chicken noodle and received broth only. I returned it and asked for some actual chicken and noodles, and the lady in the back pulled out a huge can, opened it, and poured it in. So disappointing. The soup tasted awful. This is your classic hole-in-the-wall dive, and the staff clearly could care less about making the place clean and nice looking. Watching the lack of cleanliness of the staff, I don’t think I will go back. My wife and I used to go there a lot, but it has gone down hill badly.

RUDESTAFF, every time! I don’t want to give them my money even though it is so close to my house. I’ll just drive all the way to pepinos for a good beef. The place is really run down the tiles are missing from the ceiling, I think they had a leak and never bothered to fix it.

This place used to be one of my favorites. Over the last year the quality has really gone down. I ordered my usual, an Italian beef with red sauce and mozzarella cheese. The meat was ice cold in the middle of the sandwich, the cheese didn’t melt, and the sandwich itself just tasted bad. I took it back and the staff apologized and replaced it. The replacement was hot but tasted just as bad. This review really saddens me as Pop’s used to be a great tasting and quality establishment.

Going down hill fast! I have lived in the area since before POP’s came to Crown Point, they were great for the first two years, but 2013 has been a HUGE disapointment! Under portioned Beef sandwhiches(which is why I switched my allegience fron Portillo’s in the first place) Cold beef, forgot the peppers twice, frys are bits and peices. Any restaurant can have a bad day, BUT A BADYEAR! three times in a month, my family of eight are done with them! Throw away the coupons, Lucky for us there are options less than a mile away, Simon Sez, Nicky’s Gyros, Portillo’s Mr. Greek all within minutes. POP’s just built a new store in Dyer, IN, they must be paying for it by short changing ther old customers in other locations. The independant Resurants never seem to learn, BECONSISTANT!!! Charge what you need to, but don’t short change the customer after you built a reputation. BYE-BYE!!!

Let me start with– when you go to a place that has this large of a menu– you need to really think about what you want. This being the case– Mr. Hall and I are big fans of gyros– I can’t say much about anything else on the menu… but the gyros, fries and cheese sauce is pretty awesome!

We always order pop’s for lunch at work and it never fails that there is always something missing when we pay for it, or they give us someone elses order. This is the 5th time it has happened. We have given way too many chances and have called and complained but it has gotten nowhere. Its sad i have to resort to this review but something needs to be done. You have completely lost my company’s business

There are always coupons available for this place! I absolutely love their Philly cheese steak, however they always look at me weird when I ask for there to be a pickle on it. Why is that weird?!

Visiting from Colorado I wanted to have a good Hot dog. I came upon Pops and their hot dogs hit the spot. Our order did take a bit longer than other people in line, but once we got it. I was satisfied.

5 stars for quantity, 1 star for flavor… Yes piled high and oh so wide… flavor wasn’t there… once I was satiated I just threw the left overs away… chicken overcooked, beef… save your appetite and go to als beef in chicago. or portillos on us 30 in merrillville… overall: very meriocre unless you just wanna get feel full… but that can be done across the street

This used to be an old Taco Hell. You can’t get near the place at lunch. The inside is a leftover of the restaurants past. The food is still as good as back home though. That is why the lines. The soda machine is packed in the corner by the check-out so you have to elbow your way thru. Not good when your a 3 filler.

You know the menu. You know the food. The question is whether or not its another place with cheap ingredients and lousy service. Well, Pop’s isn’t that place. The beef is really good and the service is friendly. There are 283 places like this in Chicago but in Crown Point, my choice is Pop’s.

This place is always busy and their roast beef sandwiches are the reason why. They are sooooo good! The meat is really piled on. They don’t put too much juice on it so the bun is not soggy. You can get peppers, onions, cheese or whatever you want on them. Ok, I don’t eat hotdogs(unless it’s a vegie dog) but they do have hotdogs here too. I guess just as many people come in for the hotdogs, but I’d recommend the roast beef.
