I’ve been going to the same dinners forever,(street road) and I was finally tired of subpar service so I checked Unilocal… Thank you Unilocal!I’ve found my new local diner. The serve was great, but the food was even better. Pancakes were fluffy and buttery. Perfectly cooked eggs, and more of them. Huge portions. Good coffee, they even left a pot on our table. We will definitely be returning.

Service was great both times I went for brunch and the banana caramel walnut French toast was really good. Only knock on the breakfast menu is that they stop serving waffles after 11am.

One of the best diners around. Never had a bad meal. Always prompt with bringing out the food and everything is delicious. Wait staff is always friendly.

On our mission to visit everything local, we stopped by this little diner in Bristol. The portions are huge, the food is delicious, and the staffs provided great service and good humor! I ordered the«make your own omelette» with mushroom, bacon, and Canadian bacon. It came with white toasts, and home fries. I also ordered a side of pork roll because I loooooove pork. The pork roll was salty, juicy, and piping hot when it arrived. The omelette was hot and cooked just right. For less than $ 10, I got a pot of coffee plus my omelette which filled me up for the rest of the day. My friend got banana pancakes(which I got to try some) and it was soft and fluffy. One bit and you’ll feel like you’re riding on a cloud made of maple syrup. The total check came out to less than $ 23. Amazing! One reason why I didn’t give four stars was because we found a short hair in his pancake, but I’m sure it’s not a daily occurrence. We just happened to be lucky that day. I’d probably give this place another try time.

My mom and I have been going to the Sunrise every Sunday for breakfast for going on two years now. I always have the same thing: the southwestern omelette with a side of bacon. My mom usually gets the 2−2−2 with eggs, bacon and toast. I cannot say enough good things about the food, the friendly staff, and the prices. This is, without a doubt, the best little diner I have been to in ages. The one downside is that they tend to get very busy on Sunday mornings, so if you arrive after 10 am, be prepared for up to a 30 minute wait for a table. But this just goes to show that I am obviously not alone in my feelings for this little gem.

This place is terrible. Absolute worse staff and food around. We waited 15 minutes after being seated before the waitress even came over to take our drink order. They weren’t busy at all yet after taking our order it still took awhile until we were served our drinks. It took over 30 minutes for our food to come out, and it wasn’t even hot. They forgot my sons fries, his fries weren’t even out until right before we were ready to leave. This diner is discussing and terrible, never again would I even give them another chance.

I’m going to give this place a solid meh. Slightly below average greasy spoon. The service was good. The food was just ok. And the décor is straight out of the 80s. Not horrible. Plenty of better dining options in the area. Don’t think I’ll be back.

Such a sweet place to go to any time of day, but particularly breakfast! A generally endearing experience. I try to make it hear monthly with my boyfriend because we love coming here for breakfast. A classic diner vibe is given whenever I come here, and it really makes me smile. The employees are so friendly as well! Definitely recommended if you’re looking for a filling meal, and a positive atmosphere.

Been here a few times. It’s very typical diner experience. Moderately varied menu with all the standard stuff. Place is clean. Always people there but never packed. Service is above average. Ordered the turkey reuben with slaw(posted a photo) and pea soup with unsweetened tea. Slaw was terrific. Almost identical to Famous Recipe Chicken’s Cole slaw. Creamy and slightly sweet. I’m a huge reuben fan. The have an open face version on the menu with proper kraut and pastrami(or corned beef?) but I wanted a closed one and this was the only option. It was more like a Rachel than a reuben… Had slaw and Russian dressing and turkey. Even though the slaw by itself is great, it made the sandwich soggy. I also much prefer 1000 island. All in all, I would have been better off just asking for a modified version of the open face one. The fries were very good. Similar to the coated /battered fries you get at Checkers. Pea soup was decent. Tea was average, perhaps a little weak. Just before this visit I got the burger and onion rings. It was a bit average. Toppings were good but it had a big dry, chewy kaiser roll(meh). For value, it is good if you are OK with the included sides/options. I asked about adding a side salad(very simple and basic) but it was an extra $ 2.50. Not a big deal but that can quickly run up the bill.

I enjoyed the French onion soup, house salad, coconut shrimp-delicious breading, and spaghetti with sauce. My sister liked her chicken parmesan. Nice size portions as well. The server was fast and good. I would recommend if in the area.

This is a good little Diner in Croydon! Been around for years, train station not far up the street. When in the parking lot you can see the train flying by doing over 200 mph. When you get to the inside can hear the train. Kinda cool. This place is well done from the inside out when it comes to it being remodeled. I was greeted by a very nice waitress, as soon as arriving. Welcomed with a mug and pot of coffee, and coffee creamer. With a all brand new menu, with alot to choose from. I went right to the back of the menu where all their breakfast specials are, and there are many to choose from, and the prices are great! I wound up getting the pancakes fruit combo, which was okay. But i think they over did it with the whipped cream, and the bananas and strawberrys didn’t look fresh as I was expecting. Hopefully the next time I have a better breakfast experience when it comes to the food. Other than that everything else was good, And will being giving it a 2nd chance.

This place is the best! The food is awesome, I have never been disappointed! The place is SPOTLESS, FRIENDLY And most likely you will know someone here if your from the area. You wont find a better wait staff anywhere, ask for Either of the Barbs, Jane, Mary and your bound to have the best service! This is a family like setting and the owners do everything possible to make your experience good. Best Pancakes Best Coffee Best Steak sandwich… Called Sunrise Steak I cant praise it enough!

I eat from here once a week. Big delicious menu I can get delivered, pick up, or eat in. In 13 years, I have lived in Croydon, I have never had a bad meal here. Can’t go wrong. Why eat anywhere else?

One of those old fashioned stainless steel and glass diners from the 1950’s, that is still pumping out excellent breakfast fare for road warriors. Pulled in driving my late model Zipmobile, and when I returned, it had transformed into a 1958 Packard. Just what I always wanted! The staff was perfect for this stage. Friendly, gregarious, and full of «Honey.» The French Toast was very good, too. Enough egg, soaked through and through, and a caramelized texture where the super hot range had cauterized the surface of the bread. If they had used real maple syrup rather than the mass produced prepackaged variety, it would have attained all star(5 Star) status. Also needed a Cecilware coffee urn, rather than the newer Bunn for the best coffee. I don’t mind cutting corners to make ends meet, but in my fantasy the syrup comes straight from a Vermont Sugar Maple to my plate.

What can I say? I love the Sunrise Diner. Their menu has everything and everything is good. My favorite is the Mediterranean Chicken Salad and on «cheat day» it’s hard to beat their fresh(not frozen) burgers on a pretzel roll. SOAWESOME! Their fries are pretty tasty too. What I also like are the friendly owners and great wait staff. I just love going to the Sunrise. I know I’ll never have a bad meal and when I’m dieting for a competition they are very accommodating when I request low-carb and low-fat options. They make substitutions for me without hesitation. This is THE go to place for me. I eat there at least once a week.
