This is our new dress shop! EXCELLENT experience! After doing business for years with another very popular prom shop & hating giving them my $$ I found Gippers. We drove an hour to get there but was well worth it. Very friendly, helpful staff with a phenomenal selection. No crazy rules like the other shop. And you could take pictures in the dress! We are a lifelong Gippers customer! Highly suggest going there.

Clearly GIPPER has transformed since some of its first reviews have been posted. I went on a Friday night when it wasn’t too many packed and was able to register then get my own dressing room. The girls were very professional and were also high school aged, making them even more helpful in the dress picking process. They gave feedback and answered any questions I had. They also have some of the lowest prices in the area for designer dresses. After picking my dress up from being on layaway the other day, they even steamed it for me! If you’re looking for Sherri Hill, Jovani, Rachel Allan, and more, this is the place to shop.

I have brought my daughter here for the past 2 years to find her prom dress and both times, I have had a wonderful experience! Every one we worked with was very professional and knowledgeable. They went above and beyond to be helpful and I did not find them to be pushy at all. As a matter of fact, it was a very low key, low stress, easy experience! Thank you Gipper’s!

Unlike the others who have written a review, my daughter and I had a amazing experience. We had 2 very helpful and knowledgable girls working with us, we were not rushed at all. They had a amazing selection and also one of a kind dresses. After we decided, they completely checked over and details the dress to make sure all the beading was secure. One on the consultants actually stayed passed her quit time to see what dress my daughter selected. All around great service and we are so happy with her dress.

I would never go here again, business was TERRIBLE. They kicked me out after I tried on 2 dresses because I wasn’t sure I was gonna buy from them or not. The consultant acted like she had better things to do then do her job and help me. So rude and inconsiderate.

Very disappointed service I got. Sorry I’m not a mom with a kid looking for a prom dress. I asked for help and all the people eating pizza didn’t want to help. You hire teenagers that don’t do what they deserve to get paid to do. I’ll take my money elsewhere your loss.

I thought this Gipper opened earlier than 10am, so I arrived like a half-hour early before the store opened. I drove from Barrington, so I decided to just wait in my car. 20 minutes…10 minutes…5 minutes… before opening and still no employees have even walked in the front door of the place. I was just hoping to make a quick stop before going to work. I’m watching the lights switch on at the Bath and Body Works next door, and I’m starting to get worried that Gipper isn’t even going to open or maybe the hours posted on the door are a lie. I call their number. No answer. Other customers are now standing there with me wondering what’s going on. Finally, 10 minutes after they are supposed to open, a woman in high-heels comes around the corner to open the door. She didn’t apologize for making us wait or anything. She didn’t even acknowledge it. However, she has a Dunkin’ Donuts iced coffee in her hands. So let me get this straight… she had time to stop for coffee, but she couldn’t get to work by 10am? Not professional ATALL. I followed her up to the counter because I just needed to ask about an accessory item. Without saying anything, she went straight into the back to turn on lights, turn on music and who knows what else as the clock keeps ticking. Finally she gets up front and I get some service. I ended walking out without buying anything because I was just plain disappointed. I don’t want to support a business that is too lazy to open on time. Do high-schoolers run this place?
