Julie Ann’s Frozen Custard

MY FAVORITE ICE CREAM PLACE. Freshly made custard and ice cream with a plethora of add ins and sauces and flavors! It’s a touch more pricier than somewhere like Dairy Queen, but I promise it is absolutely worth the money for something so insanely delicious. It’s typically busy as crap after dinner so be smart about when you visit!

Always very friendly and fast staff even when there’s huge lines, and there typically is! Nothing beats walking to the location either.

Superb frozen custard. Might be the best chocolate custard I’ve ever had. I never say this, but get two scoops; if you don’t (I didn’t), you’ll wish you had.

I tried their coconut which tasted so refreshing and perfect. There were flakes in it which I like but just a heads up. I added dark chocolate chips when I got home and a dash of cinnamon. Smooth custard could tell it was homemade. Boyfriend had some kind of peanut butter flavor and he loved it! It actually got us in a little fight because he wanted me to try it but I was totally fine with what I had and did not want his. He did not like that response. HAHA. Will be back! Especially in the summer !!!

Great place with an amazing variety of delicious frozen treats from custards, affogatos to in house made pies and chocolate, also prepared on the spot, bars. Very nice and friendly people and super cost décor, def a hidden gem of the suburbs!

I’m in college and I literally came home solely to get their apple cider donut ice cream sandwich. Seriously. It’s that good. The staff is personable in a pleasantly low-​key way and I love how they aren’t afraid to make interesting (occasionally weird) flavors.

I have a love hate relationship with Julie Ann’s. LOVE it because let’s be real, it’s the best tasting custard on the planet. Yes, I said planet. Hate it because it calls out to me and I’m practically powerless to say no. Must have custard. Must have custard. I’ve decided why fight it… life is short and thankfully clothes come in a variety of sizes.

Definitely some of the best Custard ever been made! Cool that you can call in 24 hours ahead and order custom Julie Bars. They have the best cookie dough ice cream I have ever tasted in my life and a very friendly environment.

Off the hook good… warning your butt will grow if you allow yourself to get addicted to this place. Plan on taking a walk, hitting the treadmills, the pools, or the gym… lots of «sin» calories but… so worth it. Highly recommend the Turtle Sunday, large (of course) with extra pecans!

Best custard ever! Do youself a favor and stop in! We had the cherry pie custard and choc/​vanilla flavors. All were amazing! You must stop by and try it. Also had the best cold press coffee. The staff was very friendly and let us try each flavor. We also has a frozen bananna dipped in pb and choc! To die for!

The very, very best ice cream. Really. Wonderfully run family business. When we want ice cream, we go out of our way to get it at Julie Ann’s. All the daily flavors are excellent, especially the ones that include nuts, which are always fresh and crunchy. Best butter pecan I’ve ever tasted!

I love custard, and by far this is THE BEST! It is reasonably priced, cheaper than froyo and you get much more, and way better flavor.
FLAVOR OF THE DAY: It is nice that they have a new flavor everyday, Cherry amaretto is my favorite so far.
JULIE BARS are one of my favorite items, the chocolate that they use for the outside hard shell is addicting, it is like dark chocolate but sweet and not as bitter. And they have different flavors to try.
We showed up in a very busy Sunday night, the line was out the door, but their service is really fast we had our 4 desserts within 5 min of showing up, and there was like 12 people ahead of us.
I had the KEY LIME SUNDAE. It was recommended. It was very good, pie crumble on the bottom, vanilla custard, home made key lime, and whip cream. I liked mixing it all together.
CONCRETES, the hubby and the kids had them. They mix a flavor of custard with any topping u can imagine, it makes the custard even more creamy and u get a bite of custard and toppings on every bite.
CHOCOLATE CUSTARD & CHERRIES concrete is my fav combination. Their chocolate custard is on the edge of being dark chocolate but still sweet.
COFFEE: they open at 11am, so if you haven’t have your coffee by then or need another cup, make this your stop, the combination of coffee poured over custard is delicious tried the AFFOGATO and now I am hooked.
BAILEYS, they have over 21 flavors, really good, the vanilla cinnamon baileys is my favorite.
Unfortunately we live in Texas but we come to Illinois to visit family every so often, and ever since it re-​open we make this a must stop. Within this week, we have stopped 4 times so far, tried something different every time, and taken quarts to share with friends and family.

Ok here is my deal i worked at br for 6 years ao i am hear to impress. This place makes the bast thick choc shake or malt i have found in the area hands down gobtry it it wont disappoint

Yummy, yummy, high-​quality, delicious, treats! They have a rotation of lots of unique custard flavors and just about any mix-​in you can think of. Prices may be slightly high but the quality is there… although I wouldn’t complain if they were just a little more generous with the mix-​in quantity! Service is very friendly and they have a good amount of seating if you want to sit and enjoy your treat.

There are dozens of ice cream, frozen yogurt, bakery, and donut shops in the area… but none come close to this intimate family owned establishment.
The prices seem a little high when compared to some of the local chains, but once you experience the quality of the product and the warmth of the service, you won’t remember the pricing.
Highly recommend going in the fall and getting the apple cider donut custard sandwich. It’s a seasonal item where they cut an apple cider donut like a bagel and fill vanilla custard between the slices! Amazing!

I frequent JAFC and can never get enough. Usually, I stock up on a few discounted pints from the cooler or pick the flavor of the day. They’re always excellent! It’s best to get it fresh, but having a pint in the freezer is great for random snacking. My favorites are the Banana Smores, Heath Brickle Crunch, Key Lime Pie and Blue Berry Pie.
