Such a cute little candy shop with really nice people. Ice cream was delicious! So many fun flavors and they’re more than willing to help you concoct amazing sundae creations. They also have lots of fun/creative cones dipped in everything imaginable!

The older woman behind the counter was a crab apple. A small gate lead to a store of primitive items. We were barked at that the store was closed and had to watch her in front of our kids slam the gate closed. Shouldn’t the gate have been closed in the first place if it was off limits? That set the tone. Our ice cream was mediocre especially considering how off putting the customer service was. Ice cream not made in store either.

Great little shop! Service is quick and friendly and the ice cream is top notch! So much better than any chain ice cream you can get in town. It’s our weekly treat after the farmer’s market on Saturdays :)

Nothing better than the small town U.S.A. ice cream shop feeling in the downtown area. Go visit and get away from the mainstream strip-malls.

One of the best parts of Downtown Crystal Lake is this little ice cream shop — complete with candy selections(but who cares? they have ice cream!) and little toys. Always friendly, always well stocked, always delicious.

I can’t spell it very well but I really like visiting this ice cream shop. This place is a small regional chain(maybe 4 or so stores?). There are maybe 30 flavors of ice cream in glass freezer cabinets so you can pick what kind you like. They have everything you might expect, sugar cones, waffle cones, various sized bowls, etc. Also there are shakes and splits and things. Plenty of choices! There is a nice seating area near the front window and lots of junk on the walls to stare at. A lot of it is for sale, as well as a huge selection of candy and toys. Yes, my kids love this place. Lots of people taking a break from their bike rides to have an ice cream here. Also no problem getting in or out if you have mobility issues. This place is open in the winter. An ice cream shop that stays in business when it’s 20 degrees out, now that’s saying something. I’m pretty sure they do take credit cards but can’t remember for sure.
