Slow service, super high prices, less than mediocre food. We won’t return. Their best damn chicken sandwich was more like the least flavorful chicken sandwich. The chicken had no season whatsoever. Even with the addition of chips and bacon, it was still bland. Very disappointed in this place.

Great atmosphere, quick friendly service and good food! Busy spot during the manatee festival, they managed quite well. Lots of staff and food was prompt.

We were visiting town for manatees. Nothing beyond restaurants are really opened past 5pm. We were walking around and decided to eat. The service was good and didn’t wait long for food. My husband ordered mahi mahi which was really«fishy» tasting. I had meatloaf dinner. Everything was just warm. Green beans were edible but didn’t taste good. The mac n cheese was good and mashed potatoes were alright too. Nothing too exciting about this place just average. Overall clean and new.

I don’t like giving bad reviews or ratings. What saved this place for me was that the food was superb. I had lobster, fish, and shrimp and all were delicious! If it hadn’t been the place would have only received 2 stars from me. It took an hour for us to get our food. About 5 mins before our food came out our server gave us some bread that was pretty good. Not sure if it’s complimentary or just because our food was so late, our server didn’t say. Our server was running around a lot but only seemed to have a few tables, the place was not very busy. It was also extremely loud! So bad i couldn’t hear my husband across the table. Not sure if it was the day or the acoustics of the room but it ruined the experience for me. We won’t be back.

I don’t want this places’s Unilocal rating to be too negatively affected… nice family place except. .The locals hate children!!! Seriously there was a group of over middle aged people who were being disruptive and derogatory towards our group due to the fact that we had two infants with us. Instances such as this makes me grateful that i am not them.

If you’re looking for good food and phenomenal service, this is it! My family and I visited River Ranch last night and had a great time! Our server was extremely attentive and really made our experience one to remember. A+

Second visit to the restaurant. The first visit was for lunch and although the service was slow, the chicken sandwich is to die for. Second visit lacked not only service but other folks around us were returning food or never received items. The bartender tries but her drinks lack ingredients and don’t really look that great. During our dinner we saw a few drinks get returned so that explained it even more. Order the salmon with dill sauce and it was overcook and the potato was so small I would not have served that. The couple on one side order a side of grilled veggies and never received them. Couple on the other side ordered steak and they both came out overcooked and were returned. Would love to see the place do well we need it but lack of management and customer service will be the downfall. Someone should be watching the food coming out and the bartender needs more training.

This restaurant is superb. The wait staff are very helpful with the menu. The menu itself is amazing. You have a variety there. I ordered the porterhouse, BESTSTEAK I’VEEVERHAD. Also I ordered the chicken shrimp and lobster eggrolls which were AMAZING. The mullet hole has nothing on this restuarant, the mullet hole was a BLACKHOLE, everytime I went in there the owner was getting wasted with his profits. If you have the chance stop in and try this place out. It is great.

After reading the article in the Chronicle we wanted to try it out. What a let down. Our server was rude, we waited forever for our food. The food itself was ok. We will try agin in the future because it is a new restaurant and has to work out some kinks. I hope it works it out soon. We need good restaurants in this town. On another note… we sure do miss the mullet hole. To bad it didn’t make it here. I hope they try to open again„ somewhere.(Hopefully not to far from here). The chronicle also said the river ranch updated the décor with copper art and a waterfall??? We saw that when the mullet hole opened???

We went here for Mother’s Day. The place was pretty busy, and the restaurant is new. I ordered bacon wrapped filet mignon. It was cooked nicely and fork tender. My husband ordered the 20 oz. porterhouse medium. It arrived bleeding, so he sent it back and it returned(well, part of it returned – he had cut several pieces off, and they did not come back) cooked medium. A third person ordered the lobster ravioli and thought it was quite tasty. Prior to the meal being served, I order a «glass of cabernet sauvignon». The waiter brought 1⁄3 of a glass of wine. It tasted okay, but I have had better, When we got the bill, we discovered that we had been charged $ 12 for that 1⁄3 glass of wine. We brought it to the waiter’s attention, telling him the charge was exorbitant. He said I ordered a premium brand – I did not; in fact, I never saw a wine list and had no idea what they offered. He said he would talk to the manager. He came back to the table telling us that they had to charge that much – that was what it cost them– but asked if «I would like more«. Huh? We were about to leave – I did not want another 1⁄3 glass of wine. Furthermore, if they were willing to give me another«glass» of wine, why wouldn’t they take the $ 12 off the bill. We spent over $ 100 for our dinners, and this whole episode put a damper on the experience. According to an article in the local paper about this restaurant, the owner took four years of marketing prior to opening this venture. They evidently didn’t teach much about public relations and good will.
