Fuji wok is amazing. Great food and service. Got the combination plate with sesame chicken miso soup and salad. Great overall

Ordered Fuji Wok through eat24. I’ve had their food before and it’s decent for the Westside. Of the items I ordered, I liked their crab and shrimp fried rice and sizzling rice soup. The review is for the horrible delivery. Rather than dragging my sick ass over to the restaurant for take out, I decided to go for their delivery service… Eat24 stated about 45 – 60 minutes, which is fine. but it took over 2.5 hours to get here. actually, IT’S STILLNOTHERE! The restaurant is literally LESSTHAN2 miles away. We called because the guy told us after 1.5 hours that the driver was on his way. After another hour, we called back to get an ETA and found out that the driver delivered to the wrong place and that they’re doing our order again. Forget it. Delivery sucks. Next.

I ordered through the Unilocal24 app, so this is not a review of the restaurant itself. Home sick with the flu, nothing tastes or smells good after several days and suddenly sushi sounded like it might hit the spot. I ordered a spicy roll combo and 40 minutes later it was at my door. The delivery man was very nice and even pet my yapping mini-dachshund as he left. I got the spicy rolls, plus miso soup(carefully packaged and didn’t leak!) salad, a fortune cookie, chop sticks, soy sauce and plenty of wasabi and ginger. This isn’t gourmet sushi but it’s better than grocery store sushi and it was indeed spicy! I can taste again and my tummy is happy.

I love their food, but last time I went there was no sushi chef, the place was freezing! I asked them to turn up the heat and they refused! I will order to go, but I will never eat I again!

Finally, good Chinese on the west side. So good in fact that we’ve had it twice this week. Quality ingredients, friendly owner, quick service and delicious plates. Can’t speak to the sushi, but all of the Chinese plates were great!

Don’t make the mistake of getting sushi or sashimi from here. We ordered the sashimi and a few rolls. The salmon roll barely has any fish and sashimi either tasted fishy or frozen. That said the walnut shrimp wasn’t bad.

WTF… food took 1 hour &30 minutes(or more) for my food to arrive, and the sushi was warm and gross by the time it got here. If the singapore noodles werent so bomb i would have rated 1 star.

I’m not a big Unilocal user or reviewer, as I’ve had some skepticism as to whether all reviews are real or not. I’ve heard they can be «bogus», like written by a competitor. Anyway, I decided to see, for the heck of it, if anyone had any negative reviews. I’m glad to see it’s not«just me.» I didn’t know this place changed ownership several times. Anyway, after finding a menu on my door, I ordered a couple of times back in 2012! No problem! Nice guy, got my change, gave a tip. This review is not about the food, it’s about the attitudes of the person on the phone and the manager. I ordered again about a couple of weeks ago. I didn’t think I’d still be in the system, since it’s been awhile. I said«Oh you found me», and he said«Excuse me? Your order please.» Okay, no pleasantries. I asked WHAT mixed veggies are in this one item, and he balked at that question! It’s a REASONABLE question! Everyone doesn’t like all veggies, and some people are allergic! He rattled off a bunch of items too fast for me, but I don’t think I heard anything I don’t like! The food came in a half-hour, much sooner than the 50 minutes they told me. It was delicious. The guy didn’t have my change. This didn’t happen before. It was a small amount, but it’s just the principle of the thing. He said sorry, but I gave what tip I could afford. It turned out to be more than I expected, so I didn’t have quite the exact change or enough for a traditional tip. I paid cash, and I don’t usually have much cash. When I called to ask if I could get a credit on my next order, or a discount next time, the guy was rude. He also told me I didn’t tip enough! When I said I didn’t get change, he asked did I give anything to the driver. Excuse me, but tipping isn’t mandatory. It’s not like sales tax. I gave what I could, and I told him«I don’t want to give anything at ALL.» I decided to try again a few days later, to see if I get someone different. Sometimes this happens. He said I have to talk to the manager, as he doesn’t have the«authority» to give me a discount. They could give me free fortune cookies for crying outloud. That would appease me, LOL. He told me to call after 4pm, and then he hung up. That should have been a red flag right then and there, but I thought I could complain to the manager… Silly me! The manager was even ruder. I called after 4, and the guy reluctantly got what I assumed was the manager. What sounded like another guy came on the line, and when I asked is he the manager, he didn’t reply. He just started yelling, saying stuff like«What authority?» That doesn’t make sense. What is he asking me? He said«Small amount of change! No discount! No change! No nothing! Don’t order from us anymore!» And HEHUNGUPONME!!! Geez, I wish I could have said«**** you» before HE hung up on ME, LOL. Turning away business instead of keeping me happy? I loved the food; I’d have given them plenty of business! Like I said, it’s just the principle of the thing. Free cookies – what harm is that? They are just $ 1 or $ 1.25. And I’ve ordered at least $ 80 worth of food from them since I’ve ordered back since 2012. I see from another reviewer someone actually said the f word to a customer… The place is located right by the freeway offramp, and it looks hard to get to, at least as far as parking goes. I’ve never been in there, but I see they have an A. So now I’m finding someone else to order from. I hate that, because I loved the food I’ve had so far. Best spinach fried-rice I ever had! But if they don’t want my business, I’m sure there’s others that do. Feel better now that I know it’s not just me. They could learn English better, better people skills, and correct spelling of items on their menus. Concious is correctly spelled conscious for the health conscious! Apparently they get enough business to STAY in business, but I read from others the place is never busy it seems. I see why! I thought businesses want to keep their customers happy. I didn’t even get a «sorry» on the change. Last time I didn’t have exact change, and didn’t think I had to this time.

Basically, when we got there it was empty. We ended up seating ourselves and got our own menu because no one was I the front to greet us. Our waiter was soo slow, dragging his feet wherever he went. No music was playing, this place is a little depressing. The food was actually good and tasted fresh. I ordered a shrimp tempura roll, spicy tuna roll, soup, and cranberry juice for $ 15. I give this place a two due to their service, it was horrible. I really do not understand how and why their service is soooo slow, THEREWEREN’T ANYONEINTHATRESTAURANTBUTUS! It took two hours just to get our food made. I will probably not come back here. I really hated the service. No type of hospitality at all!

INTERNETBUYERBEWARE!!! I ordered on their site at around 9:40pm. I got a confirmation email. These orders have taken awhile before so I chilled. 10:50pm rolls around and my tummy is like hell nah. I call for an update. They blame the internet but I say«Nay… I have a confirmation number». Boom! In your face. Then they blame me for not calling to verify. I ponder this as I’ve never had to double verify my orders before. I think maybe it’s a cultural thing. I googled it. I could not confirm but I do not blame you internet. My tum-tum is still empty so I write this hunger driven review to warn future patrons. Next time you want to order, make sure to order online, call them, write a letter, send a fax, tweet it to all of your followers, and then train a pigeon to remind them that you want some of that dank fried rice and chicken lo mein.

I guess this place has been around a loooong time, at first as strictly a Chinese joint, then they added the Japanese stuff at some later point. This place definitely had the«jack of all trades, master of none» feel to it – their menu is large, with about an equal representation of Japanese and Chinese dishes. I knew not to expect too much, and, therefore, was not disappointed. I got invited to dine here with a group of friends. We arrived on a Friday evening around 7pm and it was empty(the place is quite large, btw), which made me a little apprehensive. However, my friends had been there before and they said it was pretty good so I decided to reserve judgement. The chef was behind the sushi bar and there was a young guy waiting on us(presumably his son). We ended up ordering a few different basic rolls(california roll, cucumber and tuna maki, spicy tuna roll) and an order of the braised green beans. The sushi is definitely just average, but the fish seemed fresh and it was tasty overall. The green beans were also quite delicious, which made me think that some of their Chinese items must be pretty good as well. More people did come in as the evening wore on, and several people got pick up orders so I was glad to see that they seemed to be doing decent business. While this wouldn’t be my first pick for sushi, I wouldn’t mind coming back if my friends wanted me to join them again. I’d probably try some of their Chinese dishes next time. STEPHJUDGEMENT: OK Japanese and Chinese favorites at reasonable prices.

I came home to find a delivery menu in my mailbox and was in the mood for sushi, so I decided to order carry out. I tried to order the Vegetable Sushi Combo but the person on the phone notified me that they no longer carry any sushi combos listed on the menu. I ordered two rolls and a seaweed salad for pickup. I was told to come in 25 minutes, so I waited 20 minutes and walked over from my nearby house. The restaurant was empty except for 2 diners. I paid up front and then was made to wait for my rolls — they hadn’t been made yet. I was also charged for the extra wasabi I asked for. Verdict: bad service and mediocre sushi. Look elsewhere.

We order a lot of Fuji Wok. They have a good combination of Chinese and Japanese Sushi. I really like their Black Pepper filet and Spicy Chicken dishes. The Sushi has been decent especially for delivery. Delivery times are often over an hour, but if you plan ahead a bit its a great place to order from.

TL;DR Cheap, large portions, restaurant area is clean, convenient parking… Not the friendliest staff. Food wise is not stellar. I came across this place on my way to my office and decided to stop and give it a try. Came in for dinner on a Sunday around 7pm and I was the only patron there, looks like they get most their business from food delivery. If you are to dine-in the restaurant looks fairly clean and there is convenient parking next to the door. This restaurant is located near the freeway exit so there is quite a bit of traffic in the street. Prices are pretty cheap. Came in and ordered a Yang Chow fried rice($ 7.25) and a egg drop corn soup($ 2.25) — food was okay, nothing to talk about. I would say price and location/convenience is what this place is good for if you are on a budget.

I got the dinner combination with chef’s choice sushi and CA roll for 12.95. It came with a good-sized salad, teriyaki salmon, and rice, but the rice on the sushi didn’t taste fresh like it’d been refrigerated. The rice on the combo plate was fresh and warm. The salmon(maybe because of the sauce) was good but could’ve been cooked a couple more min. My mom got a scallop with veggies plate and there were about 2 scallops cut up in small pieces… she was disappointed and I don’t blame her. She called the plate a ‘soup’ because the veggies were swimming in sauce. Brown rice is a dollar extra which is much needed because of all that sauce. I’d come here again maybe for lunch just for sushi, but otherwise they need to work on caring a little about the customer and serve what you pay for.

Not sure why everyone is hating on this place. I’ve only ordered delivery, but it came within TWENTYMINUTES which is crazy fast. the sushi and chinese food are both good(which is rare) and they give you huge portions. Like, jam-packed every container and didn’t skimp on the meat. Definitely ordering from fuji Wok again!

So my Mom and I love to eat out. This was our second time here. First off, five stars for the food. The tea we ordered was hot(as in HOT-hot), the chicken chow fun we ordered was juicy, the rice was well cooked, and the vegetables with the brown sauce on the side were excellent! The chef accommodated our orders for us to the way we wanted and he was incredibly nice. When we walked in, the place was empty(probably from the reviews they have on Unilocal) but not once have I ever heard the chef or any of the other employees raise their voice. They are extremely helpful and know exactly how to help you cater your dish to fit your tastes and needs. Over all, food was delicious, service was excellent, and parking was perfect! Atmosphere is quiet and gentle and I know I’ll definitely be coming back soon!
