I came here with a friend once, Back when I lived in Culver City. Parking is metered, there is parking across the street in the Culver Center as well. My friend and I walked in and the person who was helping us was super nice! She recommended me what cookies to try and I also had there small cheesecake as well. I didn’t enjoy the cheesecake much, but the cookies were on point! One of the best cookies I’ve had. Usually when I have good experiences like I did at Platine Cookies I would return, sadly I think they’re too expensive, I think it cost me 1 $ for a small cookie which I ate in 2 bites. The only downside really is the price, If they lowered the price I’d return or at least make the cookie a bit larger.

I tried Platine’s cookies yesterday for the first time and they were AHH-mazing! It’s nice to know that there are bakeries around committed to quality products and using quality ingredients! The sandwich cookies and the choc chop are both insanely yummy!

Platine Bakery is known for their mouth-watering cakelettes; snacky cookies combining dark chocolate, pretzels, potato chips, & butterscotch chips; platinos — think cream-filled Oreos; raisin rugelach; and of course, their sensational signature cookies of oatmeal raisin, walnut, chocolate chip, granola, and snickerdoodles. I escaped without a whiff or without ingesting a calorie. Platen’s on-line ordering of gift boxes and decorative tins with an option of hand-delivery, brought a smile to a friend, and gave invitation to light. He is recovering from a regrettable motorcycle accident, and in Italy where my friend is from, as-good-as home-baked goodness, is as-good-as medicine. The ordering on-line was easy even late into the evening hours — cookies were delivered fresh-from-the-oven and by a local Los Angelean courier, the following day. The prices were fair — less than sending flowers. Thank you Jamie Cantor Ginsburg and all the kneading hands at Platine Bakery.

Coooookies cookies and more cookies. Why do I feel like the cookie monster when I come here?! The little whopper cookies, the chocolate chip cookies, the tarts, the everything! A little on the pricey side for treats but bring this to a party or a meeting and you will be the most popular person. Hands down, this is one of the best that our town has to offer!

2 words: COOKIESHOTS! This gives getting chocolate wasted a real meaning. They have 2 flavors, which I had to try both. The chocolate chip cookie and the red velvet cookie. The chocolate chip cookie was alright, and i felt it was too hard and tasted generic. However the red velvet was so soft, chewy, and went perfectly with the milk inside. The milk was a sweet cream milk. It made me feel like a kid again. When I come back next time, I am definitely skipping the chocolate chip and going for the red velvet again. Their plantinos is like an oreo with a twist and it was good. For the holidays, I ordered caramel apple cheesecake and it was definitely not disappointing. It may taste a little heavy, but I wash it down with hot tea . This bakery is very small and there is no seating area. They do have a standing area which could fit 3 people max. Also, this place is not parking friendly, but it’s LA so that’s expected.

I was really hoping to tryout the«cookie shot» but apparently I’d need to order well ahead of time and/or it’s a seasonal thing. Either way, the cookies here were pretty decent, although not the best. I did enjoy their chewy ones best. Not a bad place to go from time to time.

Came here to get some cookies and s’muffins(which I have reviewed separately). I do like the cookies here but it is a tad expensive at $ 1.50 for a smaller crisp cookie. As many people have indicated the Platino, Oreo cookies were good, but the filling could have been better. I also had the sea salt caramel, the double chocolate something, and the Halloween candy cookie. I think the sea salt caramel was the best. The others were too sweet for my taste. However, they do change their cookie menu often so these might not be available, obviously the Halloween candy cookie is for Halloween. They do not have the the cookie milk shots anymore, I was told that it was a summer special, but they will special order them if you call ahead of time. Consider all the good reviews on it, I wish they still make the shots. The staff who helped me was super nice and friendly, but she did get my order wrong and I had to drive back there to get it fixed. However, I will give them the benefit of the doubt and say I wasn’t clear.

Well, I came here to try the cookie shot only to find out they serve it only on Wednesday and Saturday. Tough luck. Still tried the ice cream sandwich because, honestly, I was debating coming here or going to diddy Riese for the same. Their cookies were smaller to be 1.50 each, but it was very crispy. It wasn’t overly thick which worked better for me. Both chocolate chip cookie and dark-ginger were good. 4.5 was a bit high for an ice cream cookie, but I can still give 4 stars with benefit of doubt. The lady who served me was very nice. Appreciated her kindness.

I have found the cookie shot for a long time. Now I finally found it! Really love this bakery! Try the chocolate chip cookie shot if you have not tried it. It’s amazing!

Well, came here because my friend raved about their Cookie Shot, which is basically a shot glass made out of cookie and filled with milk. To me, that’s just a gimmicky fad that’s being overly hyped. Not to mention they didn’t have anymore when we got there! And it wasn’t a busy day… Fail… Well, what they did have, was pretty good. We ordered up a couple of chocolate chip cookies $ 1.50 each or 3 for $ 4, a salted caramel brown sugar chocolate chip cookie(my fav), and a small strawberry shortcake in a jar $ 5(also tasty). All in all, it’s a small lil cookie shop that’s riding it’s gimmick for as long as it can. Not the BEST cookies I’ve ever had and I definitely won’t be making a trip back here to try the cookie shot, but if you’re in the neighborhood and have a hankerin’ for something sweet, sure, drop on in.

Sadly, I don’t feel the same way as some Unilocalers do about Platine Cookies. Received them as a weekly Friday snack from a wonderful customer, and the smell of the cookies were AWESOME. We had chocolate chip, oatmeal raisin, and ginger cookies. I was pretty much ready to eat them right as I opened the dang box! I tried the ginger cookie first… bleck. It was too overly spiced with ginger that it left a bad taste in my mouth. My manager also agreed. Oatmeal raisin was pretty average. Nothing spectacular. Chocolate chip was intensely salty. o. o My bf and I split it, and he gave his half to me because it was too salty for his taste. I know it’s nice to have a little saltiness in some cookies, but this was too overly done. Maybe it’s that I have to try the cookies when they’re fresh? Not too sure, but I don’t think I’d want to receive these ones again. :/ –edit– After looking at some pictures, I realized that probably the chocolate chip one I had was the one with smoked salt. Which explains the saltiness… lol.

Came here to try the one of the latest hypes in the foodie world… Chocolate Cookie Shots!!! A «shot glass» made of chocolate chip cookie with chocolate milk inside. $ 3 each. The cookie shot glass was super sweat and chocolaty. The bottom of the cookie shot glass was thicker and gooey. A really fun eat overall. Staff here is super nice and friendly. Plenty of street parking around. Next time I’ll make sure to try other pastries since they all looked delicious!

Their chocolate chip cookie shot with cookie milk is good. It may leak. Minimum 6 shots per order and they only make 24 a day all through april. First come first served.

MILKANDCOOKIESHOTS!!! It was about time they made it over to LA. Although I’ve never had the OG, I’m sure Platine has done it justice! The shot glass made of cookie looks like a culinary feat in itself. It had the perfect cookie texture/consistency but was also strong enough to but a «glass». It was also lined with chocolate so that the milk wouldn’t make the cookie too soggy, too quickly. It was served with COOKIEMILK. Yes, I repeat. milk infused with cookie! I wanted more regular milk but this was a decadent treat and I wouldn’t change a thing. Of course, in true Tiffany-cookie-monster fashion, I ordered lots of other things! *I highly recommend the Pot De Crème with Black Lava Salt. Silky chocolately texture with hints of salt to help balance out the richness. Yum. *The Brown Butter with Dark Chocolate and Smoked Sea Salt Cookie also had the same delicious sweet & salty flavor profile. *Their version of the oreos«Platinos» and«Camées» were just alright. Kind of like whoopie pies. I was more partial to the Camée because it was very eggy. They also sell the Smuffins!

I came here especially for the cookie and milk shooter I read about on LAist. For the uninitiated, this is a shot glass shaped cookie lined with chocolate, served with milk inside it. I was asked if I wanted it to go(I didn’t) and whether I wanted it warmed up(I did). It tasted(not surprisingly) like cookies and milk. It was very good but not terribly exciting. I’m not sure it was worth $ 3 but I’d recommend experiencing it at least once. It’s not easy to eat without spilling some milk on yourself but I learned quickly to use a combination of sipping and chewing. Free parking is available on the residential streets behind the shop or there are usually meters available in front. Even though they don’t have many customers inside you can expect to wait.

After reading in LAist about Cookie Shots, I rounded up the sweet tooth in my life and we headed to Platine Cookies for a $ 3.00 cookie coated(inside) with chocolate so it can hold a shot of milk just like a shot glass: the cookie shot! SoO good! Perfect Friday afternoon guilty pleasure, side of sunshine please! Located on Washington Blvd in Culver City, its on the south side of the road. Metered parking available, although you won’t be kept waiting at the bakery– the only seating is a blue bench outside on the sidewalk. They also carry s’muffins, the Gotta Have S’mores! that are so rich and decadent and delicious. the cakes are expensive but look worth it! There are packs of cookies to go, and jars of gourmet mustards and jams for sale. I’ll definitely be coming back to try the specialty spreads, if not indulge in other cookie desserts…

Hmm. very odd experience with this place. Not sure how to rate it. Very small storefront with no seats available to sit inside. There’s a conjoined loveseat sized bench/chair outside though, but this place is best for take out. Each cookie is $ 1.25 each, not bad, but they’re pretty normal sized. I really liked the brown butter cookie. Soft in the middle, crunchy at the edges. But here’s where the weird part came in. We bought a S’muffin(muffin with a smore like marshmallow topping), and asked if they could heat it up for us to enjoy outside. She said yes, but only for 10 seconds because after that the marshmallow puffs up too much. She also said that there are instructions inside the box as well for us to do at home. I asked for her to heat it up here. So, I looked over at the fridge to look at the cookie dough, and when I looked back she asked for my signature. I was surprised that my S’muffin was ready. I asked her if she already heated it up because I was so shocked that it happened so quickly. She answered yes. We walked to our car ready to share it, but it was still very cold. My friend went back to her and asked her to heat it but she said that they are not allowed to heat another company’s product. WHAT!!! Didn’t you say you COULD heat it and that you DID? So you lied to us? That’s what pisses me off. just tell me that you can’t heat it and I’ll just do it at home. Don’t lie to your customers. Anyways, so I get home, and stare at the box and there are no instructions. I dismantle the box, thinking it might be hiding somewhere. but NOPE no instructions. So the lady of Platine Cookies lied to us 3x in one transaction? wtf. what kind of service is this –_–

Cookies need love like everything does. — The Oracle Chef and chief cookie-creator Jamie Cantor clearly loves cookies more than most of us. The Oracle and Morpheus would be proud. You can taste love in each old-fashioned buttery and chewy bite of one of her artisan or fancy cookies at Platine’s Sweets & Savories in Culver City. The über-tiny shop and commercial bakery on Washington Blvd. is easy to miss, but once you find it – prepare for the irresistible lure of fresh cookies. The entire store smells of cookies … like you’ve stumbled upon a hollow tree filled with little baking elves. At the counter is a trophy case displaying Platine’s daily offerings like platinum treasures too expensive for mere mortals. Luckily, they’re affordable between $ 1.25 and $ 2.25 each and totally worth a cookies weight in platinum. I tried 6 different flavors … I mean, I savored and loved 6 different flavors: * Platinos($ 2.25) — Creamy cookie goodness like a softer and better Oreo * Camees($ 2.25) — The super sweet Vanilla cousins of the Chocolate Platinos * Signature Cookies($ 1.25) — Granola Oats + Currants + Choco Chips + Walnuts = Cookie Love * Snacky Cookies($ 1.25) — Can’t choose a snack? Get this salty and sweet cookie with Potato Chips, Dark Chocolate, Pretzels, & Butterscotch Chips * Brown Butter & Dark chocolate witih Sea Salt Cookies($ 1.25) — Just a tad less buttery and sweet, but still 100% yummy * Snickerdoodles($ 1.25) — Super sweet and soft sugar cookies with Cinnamon & Sugar Who wants a cookie?

My rating would be 3.5 stars for now. I came here with a groupon a couple of years ago and was not impressed with their selection. Everything was just okay. Nothing stood out to me. However, I came back today to try the smuffins I’ve been reading so much about and I couldn’t resist getting a pot de crème with black lava salt. Let me tell you. .. it was DELICIOUS!!! The chocolate was rich without being overpowering and the salt added such a beautiful contrast to the chocolatey goodness. For only $ 3 it was the perfect size for one person. Compared to desserts at restaurants that are usually $ 9, this pot de crème is worth the price. The only snag that I hit was because I’m a painfully shy person. The worker put my pot de crème in a small box, but left it open. The pot de crème comes in a little ceramic cup so I wasn’t sure whether I was allowed to take the cup or if it was one of those, «eat it here and return the cup». So instead of being brave and asking her, I awkwardly stood in the shop eating my pot de crème. After reading a few reviews here, I now realize I could have taken my pot de crème home to share with my fiancé. His loss, I guess! I need to come back this weekend so he can try it! Overall, pretty good, but as there is only one thing that blew my mind and the unclear customer service I give it 3.5. Next time, I’m keeping the cup!

Never knew about Platine Cookies until I had some of their treats at Unilocal’s Culver City Artwalk. The sweet morsels I tried were so yummy I decided to go to the shop to see what they offered. Tried 2 cookies from their«artisanal cookie» line: Brown Butter/Dark Chocolate/Smoked Salt $ 1.00 and Snacky Cookies $ 1.00(potato chips, pretzels, dark chocolate, butterscotch chips). Also had the toffee cookie $ 1.00(toffee chips) which was a bit too sweet. Looking forward to going back to try the mignardises(one bite treats), especially since the owner of Platine is a «French Laundry restaurant alum.»
