Symantec food is OK. I have eaten here a bunch of times because I work in the building next door. It is probably about the same quality as college dinning commons, but I dont really care it’s fine for a quick lunch! I only really get the salad bar or sandwich bar which have a bunch of options. I am giving them 4 stars because the employees are so friendly ! Especially the salad and sandwich bar attendants/chef. The salad bar chef makes a bunch of salads and even said he will take suggestions if I think of anything that he should make! A tip is that you have to come earlier to get the freshest salad bar items, I usually go around 2 and they usually seem kind of old :(but I have never gotten food poisoning which is a huge plus, so I guess it’s not a concern!

Most of the reviews here are a few years old including mine, so i thought I should update on how the restaurant is doing now. Symantec Dining services has gone down on so many levels, that it is really hard for me to pin down one issue. For starters: Lets just talk about food. The quality and the taste of food, has gone down so badly that, its almost a struggle for people who eat everyday to eat one meal without complaining. Symantec Dining services doesn’t seem to care about that most important aspect of a food service company — Good Food. The new staff is really unfriendly and some of the times, baffle me, like this one time, an employee just picked food with his bare hands from the food tray that was supposed to be used for all the customers. There have been numerous complaints of food here, but nothing seems to change here. This place had so much potential but they don’t seem to bother. The only reason this place is still surviving is because of the factor of «Convenience» for the employees to eat here. They already started to lose a lot of business to the food court at westfield culver city mall. I hope they take this review seriously and get it together.

Yup, I work here, and this cafeteria is right downstairs. Can’t beat the convenience, the price is right, and the menu is(usually) posted online. Generally they have a very good selection of main dishes — you can always get some latin dish, some asian dish, some american style dish, and some random dish. There are always specials at the grill(sometimes fun things like chipotle chicken quesadillas) and always a special sandwich of the day. Basics always on offer here: soups(three different kinds, they rotate) sandwich making bar(you can get whatever you want) grill(you can get any typical hamburger/hotdog/fries thing) pizza(never tried it, looks a little weird) salad bar(not bad but not a great salad bar) They also offer breakfast — for breakfast they always have oatmeal with a nice selection of toppings, the grill is open and will make you any kind of egg dish or breakfast burrito or pancake, and they also offer a variety of decent pastries and bagels. FREEITEMS: coffee! and agua fresca at lunchtime! BESTITEMHERE: crepes!!! about three days a week they have a crepes station available and they will make you any of a large variety of sweet or savory crepes. WORSTITEMHERE: lomo saltado. sorry, but it tastes nothing like the real thing. live and learn, I guess. I’m also not a fan of some of the special sandwiches they have at the grill, the cuts of meat are too huge on those. In general, this is some of the better cafeteria food I’ve had — way better than college, that’s for sure. After 6 months I do eat some of the same dishes over and over but they do a pretty good job of not recycling main dishes too often — I just like ordering crepes and sandwiches. Service is very friendly, everyone is nice — from the guys making your food to the ladies at the cash register. If you want any of your dishes made a certain way, you can just tell them since they assemble everything for you right then.

Most folks might be disappointed with cafeteria food but I think we are spoiled here at Corporate Pointe. When available, the sushi is hand-cut and top-notch. Sandwiches are made to order and quick if you are in a hurry; they’re better and healthier than anything available at the mall. Salads, soups and specialty items are available daily. Yes, you sometimes you have to wait a while for specialty items to be prepared but I take value in watching my food being cooked to order, fresh. The wait is still much better than if you went to any restaurant in the neighborhood. You can’t make it any faster and still make it good. Clean with a friendly staff on all stations. A great deal.

Having a cafeteria at work is awesome. This is where I pig out on grilled burgers, curly fries and coke. guilty pleasures. Feb 12th2014 I’ve been taking a lot of heat from my coworkers for my 5 star rating. I’m not changing my rating. David behind the sandwich counter makes it how he would want it for himself… Fast…

I have to agree with the other Unilocalers. If you are stuck out in Corporate Pointe at any of the buildings Symantec is it. Yes, you have the Trimana and the Café Allegro around but if you truly want some variety and healthy choices, Symantec does the job. I was quite surprised that this cafeteria offers all these great options for lunch. The best thing about it is, you actually get it while it’s still hot! I love their Stir Frye options and the salad bar is fresh and great. The cafeteria is filled with Symantec employees but the place is very clean and has a lot of available seating making it comfortable to eat there. The staff is very friendly and offer great suggestions.

If you aren’t leaving Corporate Pointe, then this is a better deal for hot food than you get at Allegro. The great thing is the variety, with a menu that changes every day and can include things like pizza or vegetarian southern Indian food. There’s always some made to order dish with several options about how to have it prepared. The cafeteria is a nice area as well, amazingly«protected» from the 90 freeway just on the other side of the trees.
