Me and my friends love their beef bowl and the price is reasonable! Overall good experience and great food!!!

Coming here was quite comedic. We walk in and hear two workers arguing about what time they had to take breaks, and how one of the employees was walking«too damn slow» to the register. The person taking our order wasn’t paying attention to us at all and then turned to the cook and said«hurry the f**k up with that chicken roll» Then she continued to yell at the other employee that was slow, and then pushed her to the register. At this point I couldn’t do anything but laugh because the sign directly above us says«our goal is to provide friendly and outstanding customer service». We ordered a orange chicken bowl which wasn’t good at all, over cooked chicken with soggy vegetables. I had to drown everything in soy sauce to be able to eat it, we were starving. While eating we overheard how one employee got kicked out for being too high, and F bombs all over the place. And how they don’t want to end up homeless. All we could do it laugh and just walk out as fast as we could.

If you need some quick food and you’re in the area, this will fit the bill. Without a coupon, it’s overpriced for rice and food with too much fat still attached. The classic beef is tasty because of above mentioned fat. The orange chicken is decent because it’s fried, but it’s cheaply made food,(the orange chicken is made with too much chili peppers), and again, only worth it if you need food fast and you have a coupon. The generosity of two additional stars is for the super friendly staff at this location. Especially Alex(Alexis?) who is an absolute ray of sunshine. When we walked in, she was standing tall, helping someone else, but she welcomed us, she was warm and friendly, and I know her name because the person in front of us said his name was Alex, and she said«That will be easy to remember because that’s my name, too.» The space is a little sparse, and slightly chilly, but the service was great.

If I could I would not give this business a star. They don’t deserve it. I don’t know where to even begin. The service is unbelievably horrible. I have lived in culver city all my life and every time I visit this particular establishment I’m extremely disappointed. They seem to hire only unfriendly people. Check your to go orders because they always forget food or get the order wrong. Service is horrible!

I came in with a coupon and hoping to bring back some childhood memories with an adult flair. They are advertising their new Tilapia fish so I decided to give it a shot. It was actually pretty big and filling though the lemon flavor needs some work. I definitely had to use the teriyaki sauce which in theory is a weird combo. I got the veggies and it was an embarrassing amount of nothingness. I couldn’t believe they even bothered. I had ordered to-go so I didn’t have a chance to call them out but next time i’ll know better. Worth a shot if you’re looking for a not so bad fast food option. Just beware, i looked at the nutritional contents and while the cole slaw option is a tad bit worse in calories(pretty negligible), it’s significantly less in sodium and fat than the veggies. I guess I’ll stick to the cole slaw next time.

Went in a few weeks ago and had a really bad experience. Their tilapia meal was described as being accompanied by «creamy cole slaw» but the slaw we were served was dry as a desert bone yard. My companion asked for some crème for her slaw and got attitude and a tiny container with a few drops of the crème. Food is usually good, service is usually good but this was a really bad experience. To top it off, an email to corporate was ignored.

Very Poorly managed. Food comes out fast n tastes like any other yoshinoya. And It’s close to my work. The only plus side, really. otherwise It would only get one star.

Completely empty place and the white dude who works the register during the night is mopping right next to me, hitting my shoe with the mop… Why? Go mop the rest of the place and wait till I’m gone to mop under my table and in between my shoes. Idiot. No wonder he works here.

can you believe this? i NEVER had yoshinoya before, or at least from what i remembered. my coworkers and i went out for lunch and we were originally gonna get capriotti’s, but i saw yoshinoya was right next it. i couldnt pass up this chance(yoshinoya is the farthest thing i think about when i think of restaurants), so i ditched my coworkers and went here(of course i to-goed and ate with them). I got the chicken combo with vegetables and white rice. even during a lunch rush and i had to wait in line for couple minutes, food came out really fast. all the vegetables were boiled well, but the chicken. i was uncomfortable eating the chicken skin cus it was slimy. i know skins are supposed to be slimy, but i didnt like it, too slimy?(i usually like skin too!). maybe cus the quality of the meat was low. portion was pretty good for how much i paid. the chicken was drenched in teriyaki sauce. of course, i packed some hot sauce to eat with. now that i have tried yoshinoya, i can finally check it off of my list and… dont come back! lol, it didnt really do it for me. i know far better teriyaki places, like okazya in fullerton!

Terrible service! I ordered a chicken bowl and forgot to say no veggie. I told them I made a mistake and the cook took offense to that and started to talk about me and my wife about how dumb I was to make a mistake like that while they where redoing the order on the other side. I felt offended and asked for a refund and to speak to a manager and come to find out she was the manager. Good luck KAE the manager on leading your workers on the right path.

Here with my wife. It’s not amazing but it’s better for you than burgers and fries and it’s pretty good. My wife had the classic meet bowl. I had the Angus Steak Bowl. It was pretty good but my wife’s portion size was quite a bit bigger than mine.

I know you typically can’t expect much coming here in the first place as it is the McDonald’s of Asian food, but seriously… This is a poorly managed location for sure. 1 person manning the front during lunch rush, 2 people in back cooking… Quoted 15 – 20 min wait for yaki udon noodles.

Food is good, service is awesome. I have never had a problem here. Come here pretty often. Yes parking is a problem during lunch time, that’s why I park around the corner. Able to get food pretty fast which is great !!! Nothing worse than having to wait for food for a long time when you only have a half hour lunch !!!

First, the parking in the strip center is horrible. At lunch it’s always busy, and the parking spots are made for smart cars(very small). This Yoshinoya is not super clean, and I was not thrilled with my meal. The meat was 2⁄3 beef, and 1⁄3 fat. I got a lunch combo which was very affordable at around $ 6, so the value is there, just not the quality. I was also annoyed because I asked for extra sauce, and I was charged $.66 — such is life. I drenched my bowl in bbq sauce and it was still just meh. Don’t think I’ll be back.

Rude cashier when the place wasn’t even busy. Chose to ignore my question when nobody else was in line.

The ambiance of Yoshinoya is not that great, but the food is actually pretty good. Have you ever tried their chicken and veggie soup or their side salad? It is not bad at all. I recommend that you take the food to go, because the actual eatery is not warm and fuzzy, but more clinical and sad, but I crave the gyoza! Good place to go if you are on a budget and want to eat something basically healthier that the average fast food place and tastes good too.

I remember frequenting a branch on Van Nuys Boulevard back in my high school days. It brought back happy memories from my childhood. The Santa Monica branch brings back memories from my college days. They have seriously great beef bowls! They’re very addicting as the flavor medley is truly delightful. My only gripe is the amount of beef they put in for the price you pay. Measly portion of beef is not proportional to the amount of rice. It irritates me when restaurants do this as they are wasting food when a customer is forced to toss their leftover rice because they only give a few strips of beef in the bowl. If you want extra beef, you’re forced to pay a price that is almost the cost for a second bowl. WTF? FIXYOURSELFYOSHINOYA!!!

2 stars because its open 24 hours. CRACK head central. It’s soooo dirty in here that you’ll be scared to sit down or lean on anything. Only come here if you’re mentally prepared for loiterers and transients. Oooohh the food… it’s not nasty but not worth it.

This place is dirty. but probably not by choice. I went here with my sister to eat. She had a craving for some Beef Bowl. While we were there, one of the employees was mopping the floor… although that probably doesn’t help much. The design of the floor makes the place look dirty. The table we sat at was also sticky. Just order for takeout if you go here. Parking: They have a lot that they share with other stores. Lots of parking.
