We tried Andrew’s bistro on the suggestion of a friend who happens to be a Johnson and Wales grad… He highly recommend it so we figured we would give it a go and we are so happy that we did… The restaurant is in a small strip mall so there is plenty of parking. We were sat immediately on a Friday night at about 7 pm and greeted by Andrew, not«the» Andrew but definitely a fantastic server. We started with calamari and drinks which were very good… Entrées were the chicken DeCarlo for my wife and tenderloin with potato Cheddar and bacon ravioli in a unbelievable crème sauce. A couple of desserts rounded the night off. The food was great and the service was on point. Andrew has worked his way up from bus boy to bar back and recently promoted to server and he could not have done a better job. On the way out we had the opportunity to chat with one of the owners and he was very approachable and laid back. They even have a rewards program that gets you a $ 30 gift card after spending $ 500. Lots of specials and specialty nights at Andrew’s along with superb service and great food will keep us coming back… I have a new favorite place.

Five stars all the way! We have wanted to try this restaurant for some time now and decided to make a last minute reservation when our original anniversary plans fell through and it was perfect. The service was excellent and the blue Hawaiian sangria on special was delicious. We had the stuffed mushrooms for an app and they were very good and unique from other places. I then had the balsamic glazed salmon which was cooked perfectly and the mashed potatoes were excellent. My husband had chicken Marsala and said it was the best he had from anywhere local. Overall this restaurant is definitely going to be a repeat for us!

Definitely a hidden gem. One of my favorites for date night. The lobster Raviolis in Parmesan cream sauce are to die for. Will definitely be returning

Another great meal at Andrews. The fantastic cocktails started the night off right, especially the sangria. Calamari appetizer was cooked perfectly. My wife and I enjoyed the dinner specials which hit the spot. The only thing better was the service by the waitress and bus boys.

Tried Andrews for the first time on a blind date. The company was amazing. Our waiter Nicholas helpfully guided us through the innovative yet traditional entrées and specials. The atmosphere was pleasant and unobtrusive. Be sure to try the sun-dried tomatoes goat cheese bruschetta and the steaks are not to be missed. Nicholas D. Truly made the evening a memorable one. We would come back just to enjoy the outstanding service, as Nicholas was fantastic. We are going to name our first child together Nicholas and our second Andrew.

Delicious food, great drinks, the bread was amazing, I took some home with me and was still soft and delicious the next day! Great job! Met the owner at a local bar, very nice man, no wonder he’s done a good job at making his business a pleasant experience as well! I’ve been here every time I have been in Woonsocket. And thank God to them! Their lobster ravioli is my favorite!

Andrew’s Bistro never disappoints. Proprietor Chris and Chef Carl really go above and beyond taking care of their guests. The wait staff is exceptional, and make you feel like you’re part of the family. I’ve been going there for several years now, and honestly haven’t had a single bad experience. Tonight I dined with my wife and one of our sons. They were jam packed at 8:00pm, but Chris managed to squeeze us in. We were seated in the newly expanded section of the restaurant, which was really nice, being that it isn’t fully opened yet. We liked it back there, as it was more quiet and homey feeling. Our waitress Melissa came right over with water and bread, and took our drink orders. She was extremely attentive without rushing us. A really bubbly, friendly young lady, that takes extra care to ensure you are well cared for and do not want for anything. We ordered the calamari modo mio, which came out perfectly. The calamari was very tender, yet crispy and the soy based sauce was really tasty and different than the usual marinara, balsamic or olive oil & garlic types typically served in the area. I had the special Ahi tuna with sesame seed crust, and a really delicious avacado and lemon based dipping sauce. The tuna was fantastic, perfectly cooked and the sauce was an excellent match. I thoroughly enjoyed it, and not a crumb was left on my plate. My wife had the prime rib special, and it was exactly as she ordered. Very tender and flavorful. She actually finished the whole thing, which is a rare occurrence, proving it was delicious. My son had the chicken francaise and he said it was the best he’s ever had. The dessert tray came afterwards, and while we were all extremely full from our meals, we couldn’t pass up the fresh made desserts. I had the crème brûlée, which is what I always have, and as always, it was truly scrumptious. My wife had the coconut crème pie and my son had the fresh made chocolate lava cake. The lava cake takes 20 minutes to make, and they warn you of that fact, but was well worth the wait. My wife thoroughly enjoyed her coconut cream pie, but had to bring half home, after quickly running out of room. Both Chris and Carl came by our table to check on us, and ask how our meals were, and thanking us for joining them for the evening. Another top notch meal at Andrew’s Bistro, and I’m already looking forward to my next visit.

First time here food and service were excellent. We had a few appetizers we had the mussels in white wine sauce, lobster and crab deviled eggs and calamari modo moo. We had two of the daily filet specials. Also had the Chef filet, Hawaiian flatbread(it is big enough for 2 people to share) and my youngest had chicken fingers. The food came out hot and tasty. Will definitely come back. They also have there own rewards program for people who like using those. There dessert choices looked very good but we had no room them.

You will miss it if you don’t know where it is. Tucked in a strip mall it’s another hidden gem. Feels like a Providence restaurant once your inside. White table clothes and top shelf but very suburban casual. Italian fare, steak and seafood the menu is diverse and quite good. Great option for a weeknight.

On our 3rd(or 4th, I can’t remember) yearly visit here, my husband and I once again had a great experience. This place keeps getting better and better! 5 stars! Amazing drinks, great service, fresh delicious food.(Do yourself a favor and try their stuffed mushrooms… heavenly). Clean, pretty restaurant, fresh bathrooms. Really just an all around perfect dining experience. Wished we lived closer!

Fantastic place in a quiet part of town. Andrews is a good spot for a date, dinner with friends or family, or a good weekday lunch spot. I’ve been here many times. I always love the salmon. I also like their scallops and salads. I think I have loved everything I’ve ever tried. Their FRESH fried mozzarella is a treat. It isn’t the usual fried app — very special and delicious. In the warmer months you can sit outside which is always pleasant. The service is pretty good. It has it’s ups and downs and can be a little slow. Sometimes this is a good thing when you want to relax over dinner. May not work if you needed to get in and out quick. The service is always polite, however. I’d recommend Andrews for any occasion — everyday or special night!

I have been going to Andrews for a few years now and will never return again. Myself, along with other girls I work with used to have lunch here frequently and recently stopped going. Today made me remember why. We were taking a fellow coworker to lunch and decided to give Andrews another try. We had a larger party and didn’t make reservations because there’s never anyone in there. We get there at 11:30(when they open) and per usual no one is in there. We get to the host and we tell him we need a table. Mind you, this particular kid is always extremely rude. Him and another male are notably annoyed and will not make eye contact with us as they are slamming tables together. He then comes back– after huffing and mumbling and proceeds to say«you’re lucky there’s a table left». I’m sorry but what I should have said was you’re lucky we chose to dine here so you can earn a paycheck, but I refrained. He was always rude when he was the water replenish associate and it seems his new host job has not taught him further people skills. Then, the waitress(who was very nice) was asked for bread for the table, replied they only serve bread in the afternoon. What is this even about? If you have bread, why do you only serve it in the afternoon? Aside from the waitress, the other two males were blatantly rude and obviously annoyed we decided to make Andrews our choice for lunch. Thank you; noted. I would never write a bad review based on a one time bad experience, but this particular server is habitually rude. Needless to say, none of the 15 people that lunches there today will be returning.

Let me first start by saying that I know good Italian food. I was raised in an Italian family with a grandmother, mother and sister who are phenomenal cooks. Andrew’s is right up there with the North end’s and the hill’s best. Expect to drop $ 100 for two with drinks and tip.

I came here for dinner with my co-workers. While sitting at the bar before dinner, we learned about their loyalty program which gets you half priced bottles of wine on Wednesday night. You earn points every time you drink or dine there and when you reach 500, you get a $ 30 gift card. They also have a lot of happy hour specials and the service at the bar was excellent so we’ll definitely be back at some point to take advantage of that. For appetizers, we had the mozzarella caruso and the calamari modo mio and we all loved both. We loved the calamari so much that we ordered a second plate of it. For an entrée, I had the orange honey mirin glazed salmon, which was also really good. I got talked into splitting a dessert, which was a warm blueberry pie. It was only okay. Overall, I’d say this is one of the best options for dinner in Cumberland.

Will never go back! I called to see if a reservation was needed for 6 people and asked what time do you open. I was told 4:30 and no reservation was needed. We arrived at 5:30 with the restaurant more than half empty and was turned away. Not even a wait time — just NO. That’s okay we found a restaurant that was ready to accommodate the customer.

After a visit in January 2015, and several emails with the chef /restaurant owner to express our disappointment, I gave them one more try today as the chef /owner recommended. He asked that we return to make this right & strongly recommended that we call the attention of any errors in service and/or food at the time of our visit. Unfortunately, I did just that. We were a party of 4 and only 3 of us had dinner. We were there approx. 2 hours and the owner /chef sat at the table to the right of us — visiting with a couple. He was dressed in a chef jacket, but I do not believe he was doing any cooking tonight — as he never left the table. The restaurant was fairly busy and the service was acceptable. We ordered bruschetta that was just ok. Then we ordered butternut squash ravioli, chicken Parmesan with Penne & Veal Parmesan with linguini. The waitress arrived with 2 dishes followed by a gentleman in a suit — I am guessing the restaurant manager — who was carrying the third dish. They quickly placed the veal & Chicken on the table — and announced that the kitchen mixed up the pasta selections. They quickly offered additional plates so my guests could separate the pasta themselves. The pasta was a bit overcooked, but edible. My ravioli was undercooked, but better than overcooked. The chef /owner overhears what happens, but remains at the table visiting with his friends. The server returned to take away our plates & to offer to package left overs. I quickly declined, however, my guests attempting to be polite, accepted her offer. She asked if everything was ok and no one responded. She returns will the bill, $ 125 for 3 entrees and 6 drinks. Once the bill is paid, the chef /owner says goodbye to his friends and is at our table to ask how everything was. I quickly respond to say, «just ok». I begin to say there was a mix up with the pasta, he interupts to tell me that he knows that the kitchen corrected this. I said, «they brought plates so everyone could swap the pasta themselves». He says, «ok, but how was the food» — we repeat, «just ok». He mutters something about wanting our experience to better better than ok, thanks us for the feedback and quickly exits. I later learned that my name was recognized once I made payment, and may be the reason the chef paid a visit to our table —(we did not have reservations). Dear chef /owner, when inviting yourself to my table to inquire about my experience knowing there were issues — please appear before my bill is sent. Please do not interrupt me as I am answering YOUR question — listen to my answer. Very dissatisfied with chef /owner’s false interest. Either ask questions and listen — or please ignore us as you did when our food arrived incorrectly. It’s too bad you can’t figure out how to fix this. The place is beautiful but the food is not worth the money — those prices would get me great service and a place with quality food. Maybe call restaurant rescue? Oh, and once again I attempted to contact you through the website and the link is nothing more than an error(which was also broken in December). Save your money! If you approach the chef /owner to offer honest comments to help them improve — it’s taken personally & the behavior is less than professional! Chef attire is earned and not typically purchased at local costume stores :)! I would NEVER visit this place often enough to be recognized by staff — it is a waste of hard earned money! If the owner/chef’s definition of visiting«several times» means twice in 6 months then clearly there is confusion on what a returning customer & repeated business means to this restaurant. My review is quite similar to other reviews submitted within the last 12 months and has been validated chef /owner himself in his response to this review I would recommend that they hire a professional to handle the feedback and potentially an editor — as this is only restaurant I know of with a manger running the show! Good luck! Thank you chef, for validating my feedback! Much appreciated!

We’ve tried Andrew’s several times, both with the original owner and the current owners. Every time has been just OK. The wine list has always been good, but the food is unspectacular. The last time we went, I got short rib which was not quite fork tender– either not allowed to cook long enough, or poor cut to begin with. For the quality of food you get, the prices are a bit high.

I work on the CVS hill(not for CVS) so we have limited options for close sit down eating establishments… which blows my mind! When I was coming up for interviewing/woo-ing they took me to Andrew’s for lunch the first day. It was so long ago that I can’t really remember being impressed or not… I guess I would say I was whelmed… not over, not under. This last time, however, we had people in from our corporate office in Indianapolis. I made the call to take the small group to Andrews. The restaurant was moderately buys, but nothing they shouldn’t have been able to handle based on the amount of employees that were there. The drink order happened quickly, but the rest of the show took entirely too long. Quite honestly the food was… eh. Again, I guess I was whelmed. For the price on Federal Hill the food would have been much better, but it’s all about location. I think Andrew’s is a inconsistent restaurant. One day it will be relatively good and the next may be not so much. If you’re visiting CVSHQ and don’t know where to go for lunch I would say that Andrew’s may be worth a shot. Just keep your expectations relatively low and ensure that you have plenty of time.

Don’t be fooled by the formerly destitute looking strip mall this place is nestled into. They’ve recently made it much more welcoming. A friend had mentioned this place to me and after a bit of reluctance, I went for a visit. The inside is very nice and welcoming and the food was very good! I tried the unique«Goat Cheese Bruchetta» and was amazed. As an extreme goat cheese lover with high goat cheese standards, this passed the test with flying colors. It was absolutely delicious. I think about this dish often at work. Sadly, not much time to get out and head back here but mark my words– I will be back here again.
