I had the pleasure of being invited to a bridal luncheon at this wonderful new local business. The owner was warm & welcoming and has created a beautiful space in what I guess was the office or guard shack in the parking lot of a brick mill. We tried our hand at a Japanese art called suminagashi, floating ink on a watery solution, swirling & marbleizing it, then floating a plain silk scarf on top to which the color adheres. While we waited for them to line-dry outside, we sat on the little patio and sipped wine. There are several artisans associated with Boldacious, you can buy their products or attend a craft class. Several of us plan to go back in the fall to take knitting classes.
