Cumberland House of Pizza

You were quick to take the order, quick to get it out, and all that with a smile.

Excellent Twins Pizza and crispy fries. The pizza has thousand island dressing, bacon, Hamburg, onions. cheese, topped with lettuce, tomato and pickles. I found this place on Unilocal while driving threw the area. This pizza is what caught my eye! I would definitely go again when in the area.

It’s right off of the main road in Cumberland. Very easy to get in and out of from each entrance.
The staff is pretty quick with taking orders and preparing the food. I am all about efficiency. It’s keeps me from going from hungry to hangry.
I like the crust, not too fluffy and not to greasy. I have only left a couple of bites of crust on my plate once.
Our favorite pizza is the house special, no onions. The toppings are plentiful, and thin sliced, even spread on the pizza. The flavors are great, although sometimes the olives can be overpowering. They are easy to pick off if I have had enough.
The cheese bread is very similar to Amatos Pazzo bread, however not as greasy as Amatos. It is like a small herby cheese pizza sauce on the side.
The dining area is modest. I think most people take their food to go.
It has been clean in the times we have been there.
I like the picnic tables outside during the summer. Fresh air and fresh eats.
The bar area is cute and comfy. I haven’t sat and had drinks… yet…but I look forward to it soon. They have mass produced and local beer, i.e. Shipyard on draft.
This is definitely my go-​to local pizza place. Great food — CONSISTENT quality and decent price. If you are in the area after the fair, it’s definitely worth the stop.

Great pizza. The BEST French fries in the world. Baklava is a little small for what they charge but hey it’s delicious. Rather have a little piece of good baklava than a big price of crappy stuff.
They are also hella fast. I mean twenty minutes for two large pizzas and four orders of the best fries in the world. Did I mention they have the best fries?

This is a great place to get pizza! With good prices and nice staff. This is one of the pizza places to go!
Before you enter the area. You see that the place is very nice! With a billboard and a nice sign! And when you actually enter the Store. And when you enter the store. You see quite cheap prices! Plus. The staff is pretty decent, always being helpful at all times!
Then you get the pizza. The pizza is very good! With pepperoni at the right spice level. Buffalo sauce with great flavor. And so much more!
My only complaint is that the booth chairs are kind of strange. The recline level is kind of low, and the cushions don’t reach all of the chair.

What an amazing family who puts everything into their pizza, and most importantly, their family.

Love love love the Greek pizza!!! Friendly, nice family running the place. Reasonable prices and an easy pick-​up dinner on a busy weeknight! Try the baklava too — Yum!!!

Solid food overall. The Greek Salad is excellent as are the pizzas and lasagne. Other reviewer obviously does not know what they are talking about because each House of Pizza is individually owned by families. Don’t review something you have no idea about.

We are at this place waiting for our pizza and the owner (I thinks it’s him, older guy at counter) is arguing with customer LOUD about forcing customer to pay 50 cents for more salsa because they needed more salsa for their $ 12 nachos. Owner refused to give him more and yelled at him… Crazy
Will not come here… again don’t recommend

Cumberland House of Pizza, or ‘CHOP’ as the locals lovingly refer to it…
The people that own the place are very nice and friendly to customers. I think the pizza is good but a lot of the other foods taste like they come from Sysco and don’t seem to be made in-​house. The Alfredo sauce was a dead giveaway on that. I do wonder if Sysco food is the standard for the ‘House of Pizza’ franchises.
I am giving CHOP a 3-​star rating because of the prices. I think they’re a bit high for the area and what’s being served up.

Solid pizza. If you’re in the area, this can’t be beat.

This is the best pizza in the area. I have been here several times and each time was delish! I highly recommend «chop» as everyone in the area calls it.
