The free breakfast that was«menu ordered» was cooked in old oil that was foul. No one tells you in advance that while the breakfast is free, they expect you to tip! How about just paying the waitstaff and making it actually free? I reserved a king room that was supposed to have a couch, got two queens. The reception on the TV was terrible. The blow dryer broken. The room small. The carts made my luggage heavier than I could imagine the bags actually were. The ramp to load the cart up into the hotel was narrow and I had to finagle the immovable cart onto it. Disabled or old folks beware. Even my inshape self could barely manage the thing! I really had a terrible time with this place, and it was $ 100 for the room with the king that I didn’t get! This place definitely should be more like a $ 60 place for the best room. Exhausted from having to move quickly to get there and get out, I didn’t even have time to complain, which I certainly should have if I hadn’t been under such time constraints. Which that narrow ramp, and horrible old cart definitely added too.

The Hotel, Room & Pool were very clean. The breakfast was good, however, order off the menu the buffet wasn’t very tasty.(Both options are free with your room). As far has the train… I’m presuming everyone who wrote a bad review never lived over the R train in Brooklyn, NY… lol… We slept soundly! We actually enjoyed watching all the different trains pass by our window. The kids absolutely loved the pool ! Not many pools are 9 feet anymore, that was a nice surprise…

We live locally to this hotel and had an emergency in the middle of the night where we needed a room and this was the only place that had a room! I had never stayed here before and I was pleasantly surprised. While the hotel is old the room was in good shape and very clean. My wife is a «clean freak» and she was even pleasantly surprised by the room. We needed extra towels and the staff provided them even with a smile at 2 am. It was quiet and peaceful and well worth the price! Only please do remember Cumberland is a railroad town, thus the complaints about the trains! Expect to hear and see some train activity, it can’t be avoided!

Worst night of sleep ever. It started with a fête fly in the room then an entire night of freight trains shaking the hotel almost every hour. Stay away from this hotel if you want any sleep whatsoever.

It is not that far from the bikes trail, we basically walked along Baltimore St. and then turned right at George St. Fair price particularly when you consider the room price includes ordered breakfast. There is a bike wash on the side of the building and you can take your bike to the room.

It was cheap. It was comfy. Most incredible continental breakfast ever. It’s like a restraunt and it’s free. Nice people. Right downtown. My son loved watching the trains passing by.

The room was spacious, had all of the necessities away from home and bed was very comfortable. They place a hold on your card for $ 25 dollars for incidentals; they accidentally charged me $ 50 dollars so be careful and check your statement online right after you check-in. It was a HUGE inconvenience. I had to jump through hoops just so they could put it back the money back on my card. Also, the elevator is a death trap. Use at your own risk.

Clean room, front desk service was excellent. Outdoor pool very nice and clean. WiFi was not working which is why I wouldn’t give this a higher rating. Biker friendly if you are tackling the GAP or C&O trails.

If you need a place to stay in this town this is the best. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Room felt outdated, if you care about that sort of thing, furniture style out of date but did not look worn, mini fridge awkwardly just sitting in room, AC unit had been there for a long time but still functioned well. Place is close to train tracks but I did not hear any as I was exhausted and slept like a rock all night on the comfy bed with several pillow choices. Only inconvenience I had was that there were no outlets anywhere near the bed to plug my phone into which I use as my alarm etc. All in all solid place to stay for less than $ 100 a night.
