I like the eye doctor and the service when buying eyeglasses so much that I just went back for my third set of eyeglasses. The doctor explained very well what was happening with my eyes, since I thought I was having an issue with them and wanted some answers. There is a good selection of eyeglasses and the staff is very helpful and kind. When I picked them up today Nancy was very helpful and enthusiastic. She even asked me why I had chosen purple as one of the primary colors for all three pairs of glasses.(One pair was purple in the front with leopard print side pieces.) It’s because they didn’t have any brown ones that worked for me as sunglasses and none of the red tones worked with my skin and hair tones for my other two pairs. I tried on a few pairs to show her and she agreed, so I was reassured I made the right choice which I was already pretty sure I had, because Patty helped me pick them out, as she had the last time I was there. Note: if there’s an empty spot, you can park right near the entrance closest to the optical department. Otherwise, you can park in the end of the garage closest to it.

Horrible, horrible, beyond horrible. The customer service is beyond understanding. Seriously, I cannot express how shocked I was by such lazy, incompetent and unwillingness to assist a customer. We came in and were greeted with a lazy hello from a gal sitting at a desk on her personal phone. Okay, I get it, its slow, not much going on — forgiven. We select frames, present prescription, etc. I ask a question regarding the type of lenses recommended and I seriously had to ask three times to get this person to speak without mumbling. This is over two weeks ago. A simple prescription that was to take less than 2 weeks. The follow-up call: person who answered bottom line could not spell, could not answer a single question, did not take ownership and guess what we still do not have the glasses we ordered and gave full payment. Do yourself a favor, toss the 50% coupon in the trash and head out to LensCrafters or a privately owned optical shop. Its worth the extra buck. Sorry JC Penny’s you failed by hiring lazy people.

Holy crap this place had three customers in this little place? What a dump. Horrid selection of lenses, the same confusing pricing as Sears and no real deals and people filling out lots of details on clipboards too. This was a throwback, I’d not been in Sears or JCPenney’s since I was a kid and I can see why. This even made the horrid Site for Sore Eyes in Vallco look good. Yuk! Guess I’d better head to Costco!
