I really enjoyed the food here! It was not only affordable, but the portions were huge! Also, the waitress took her time to carefully explain to us the dishes that were available, which was nice. I’d definitely come here again.

The owner lady is not friendly at all, especially after you purchase the dining card, they don’t care much about their altitude of service. The menu is messy and no explanation or detailed introduction at all, and when you order something that you don’t like, you don’t have any choice. The lady only emphasize that they treat business seriously. By no explanation to me at all, I don’t see their sincereness. Really regret to purchase the card. And by the way, although expensive, the milk tea sucks there.

Buy 1 Get 1 rotten food. You would think the owner is so kind and generous during the Holiday season to give you a chicken leg for free when you buy one, just that they have been there for many weeks. We brought home 2 smelly rotten mold covered chicken leg. Luckily we spotted the mold and noticed the smell before we consumed them. This place should be shut down for selling spoiled and rotten items.

I would’ve liked to eaten here especially since there price range is ‘Under $ 10′ EXCEPT they have $ 20.00 credit card minimums… well, looks like I’ll take my business else where.

The tea eggs are the best, better than my Auntie’s. Their milk tea has a great amount more flavor than places that specialize in milk tea. Most of all, they serve all types from regulars to passersby with the same courtesy.

Always come with my children. However, the portion keeps shrinking. Owner is unfriendly with students when they come alone and place the order. I always observe. Student meal is not value for money. Crispy chicken tastes frozen, soggy and only fill HALF of the bag. The green curry leaves are no longer come with crispy chicken. Getting more and more disappointed. We used to love this place but no more.

Service is nice, regular Chinese fast food place– great for lunch and to-go dinner bento box. I recommend the smoke chicken. Keep in mind chef takes break between 2−5pm so during this time only pre– prep bento box is available. Which is a shame because I couldn’t order anything on regular menu.

I have never been more compelled to write a negative review than after visiting this place. I just wanted to apologize on behalf of all Taiwanese people that most of the time when you go to a Taiwanese restaurant, the items are fairly represented. Not in the case of this place. The menu is a mess, it is mostly in Chinese and some popular ones in English as well. So I ordered from both. Luckily, I can still read Chinese, at least the food menu. I got the pork chop and rice(a favorite of mine at many places). I also got the pork intestine noodles that was in the Chinese menu. When I asked for the small size that was $ 1.99, the lady over the counter stated they don’t have that size. Only medium and large??? When asked how large is a medium, I couldn’t get an answer, just only tons of useless verbage not pertaining to what I ordered. So I ordered the medium anyways. They asked me if it was for here or togo, I stated for here. When the order arrived it was in the togo containers, with plastic bag, plastic fork and plastic spoon. So being on the road for 7 hours and in the Bay area for another 5 without any substanance, I dove in. What I got in return was like a faux pax Taiwanese eats. The pork stomach noodles($ 4) had 3 large pieces of tofu and 3(maybe half pieces in ½ diameter) of pork stomach drenched in soggy noodles and soup that tasted exactly like water mixed in with the onion seasoning from your cup of noodle. The pork chop($ 8) did a little better. I mean, it had brocolli and canned 1 bite size kimchi, how can you go wrong with that? You just have to buy these semi prepared. It also had ground pork and half stew egg with 3 pieces of pork chop that was half size.(half size, a recurring theme here) So really it was maybe 1 ½ pieces but they stretched it. So in honor of them stretching, I’ll give this place 3 stars. But wait, since they cut it in half for everything, I’ll give them 1 and ½ stars. Good thing your daughter is easy on the eyes and I’m rounding up. I found the lady owner made an excuse for everything she sold. She not only told me she couldn’t sell me the small size pork stomach noodles, she also told the people before me they couldn’t get what they wanted. I mean, she makes the soup nazi look like Martha Stewart! While eating, that was all I could hear, you couldn’t order this, nor that. It was more than frustrating hearing this. I see lots of younger folks from across the library coming here and pretty much, there is nothing else around within walking distance except for the coffee shop. Please, stop misrepresenting that Taiwanese people, you’re doing us an injustice. BTW, I have heard from some locals that these folks are NOT Taiwanese.

I’ve read reviews about the rude owner prior to coming here but decided to stop by on my lunch anyways because it is walking distance to where I worked. There was one person in front of me who ordered and she was done ordering but the woman who worked the register and the woman who ordered decided to chop it up. I was in a rush and I thought it was rude for them to keep chit chatting while I’m in line trying to order. I was waiting for a good few minutes then decided to leave because I felt it was rude the woman who worked the register decided to not acknowledge me. I won’t be back!

Came here at around 11:30 am for a quick bite to eat. I ordered the Ground Pork Mini Bowl, which came with rice, two pieces of broccoli, and well, ground pork. The pork was cooked in a savory gravy and ladled on top of the rice. It was a little salty, but it kept me full for a pretty long time afterwards. Simple, cheap meal(the total, with tax, came out to be $ 4.74 if I remember correctly). Service was really fast too — I probably waited 3 minutes before they called me up with it. I tried their chocolate milk tea, and that was pretty good too. It was interesting in that the chocolate didn’t overpower the tea, and I could taste both flavors. Overall, okay food for a good price. Great for students looking for cheap, fast food, as it’s conveniently situated across from the Cupertino Library. I think they offer a student discount too — mini bowl and PMT for $ 5.

Not impressed. Right when i walked in, it reeked of old old old food, which was unappetizing. Looking at the food itself, it was all dull and looked like it had been sitting there for a week. The food does not taste fresh, it tastes like old food that was microwaved. Maybe they re-use their oil many times over? I don’t know. I ordered the beef stew with white rice and got a terrible stomach ache afterwards. Never going here again. Gross.

I just can’t stand the owner here!!! Sooooo rude!!! All the tables are too dirty to sit down, then I asked her to get an extra napkin for cleaning one of them. She replied rudely said just found a clean one to sit!!!

I absolutely adore this place. I go to the Cupertino library almost everyday and its usually a burden to go out and find food. This family-owned restaurant is perfect for people like me who need something quick and filling. The owners are so sweet and so understanding of stressed out students.

I would give it a zero star or negative. I tried couple of their bentos, none of it tastes good. plus the owner is really rude and and dining area is divide by two, you need to pay more to side inside, so ridiculous.

Wow, absolutely terrified by our treatment from an employee here(not sure if she is the owner.) Please, I urge you to not shop or dine here. My sister was waiting in line to get some food while her two kids needed to use the bathroom. She left the line to take them to the restroom, my mom waited outside the door for them. This woman came over and told my mom that we had no manner and did not ask for permission to use the restroom. There were no signs that say«employee only» and the restroom did not require a key to get in. It was just there, like any restaurant, for a customer to use. This employee proceeded to threw out racist comments like«if you were at an american restaurant like Amici’s, would you walk in without asking for permission?» Ummm if I was dining at any restaurant, I would not need to ask for permission to go to the bathroom! We made ourselves clear that we are about to purchase food while the kids needed to use bathroom. She didn’t care. She proceeded to complain about us loudly to another employee. After being insulted and yelled at, my sister still wanted to buy food like she had originally planned. So she got in line again and when it was her turn, we got yelled at, again!!! The woman reminded us several times that we had no manner what so ever. This was the last draw, we left. We are a family who is fairly quiet and keep to ourselves. We value mannerisms deeply and pride ourselves in being well-mannered and polite individuals. I cannot believe that this was the treatment we received from this place(and yes, I have had the food, it’s average/mediocre. We simply were in the neighborhood and being Taiwanese, we wanted to show support for fellow Taiwanese owned restaurants.) We will never return here and will be telling all of our friends and relatives to not buy food from them again.

Not bad. Not amazing. Pretty good for the price. I came here while starving at the library across the street. Ordered a grilled chicken bento with 2 tea eggs on the side. Chicken is a bit hard and chewy on some of the edges but overall not bad. I paid 10.75 for the whole thing so really I can’t complain. Tea eggs weren’t what I expected. Tasted like a regular boiled egg. I liked their stewed egg much better. Girl who took my order over the phone and took my payment at the register was very nice. I’d give her 5 stars if you could rate service separately. I don’t particularly feel much for this place but I would come back if I’m at the library starving again.

Havent tried any of the food but went for dessert. Got a large shaved ice that we split with 3 folks. Red bean, pudding, lemon jelly and condensed milk fill the giant bowl. Pretty tasty and refreshing though as you get down the bowl it gets really sweet. Still good for a hot day though. 3.5 stars

Shaved… Ice Ice Baby! Shaved…Ice Ice Baby! It was burning hot and I needed to cool off… a bubble tea is insufficient, a slurpee isn’t cutting it and soda? Please, just no. I needed ice: shaved and covered in toppings! The lady owner told us she can give us more ice in a glass bowl if we promise to give the bowl back and on came enough ice even for the Abominable Snowman — all for under $ 5! You can call me the Master’s Sun the way I was melting through the shaved ice, blasting the boba balls, slicing past the fruits and slaying the aiyu jelly. I left behind a wet table, sticky utensils and an empty bowl. Word to your mother. Seriously, share some shaved ice with your mama!

Food: 3 stars Service: 3 stars Came here twice to try different things on the menu. It all tastes homemade but lacks a certain flavor. most dish was bland and my mi fen tang(vermicelli soup) was lukewarm. The lady up front will ignore you until she is done being busy with other customers, but once she engages in a conversation with you, she is friendly. the rou zap fan(minced pork rice) was salty and didn’t taste like traditional taiwanese. the guan dong zhu(soup with various tempura and stuff) had been cooking for too long, but it came piping hot so it was satisfying on a rainy winter day. da chang mian xian(vermicelli with pork intestine) was not bad, $ 1.99 for a small bowl was filling for a [very] light lunch. the cua bing(shaved ice) was good!

3 stars for food, 4 stars Shaved Ice This place is located across the street from the Cupertino Library so parking can be busy at times. Most people come here to order take out as the place is relatively small with limited seating indoors, but they do have a few tables outdoors as well. I’ve tried a few things here: – Chicken Steak Curry Bento($ 7.50) — this is meant to be Japanese style curry but it lacks the full flavor of Japanese curry. It’s ok. – Beef Udon($ 8.50) — this is ok as well. Nothing too special, but still makes for a hearty meal. – Shaved ice — pretty good shaved ice. You can choose up to four toppings: pearls, pudding, red bean, green bean, taro, rainbow jelly, grass jelly, etc. Overall this is a quick and cheap place to eat with generous portions. I give it 4 stars mainly for the shaved ice!
