Today was my first time here, I had a high expectations, I love Bento boxes so I wanted to try it out. I order the chicken katsu, the food was ok. But the thing is that I’m a delivery driver so I don’t have many restroom stops so I come here order my food, and after I was done ordering my food I asked the lady if I could use the restroom and she said«there’s no restroom here you can go to the starbucks around the corner» I was very disappointed what kind of restaurant doesn’t have a restroom for their customers??? I was very annoyed by the fact that I had to waste my lunch time walking 5 mins to go to another place just to use the restroom. This was my 1st and last time here.

This place is NEVER Open! I’ve tried to go here like 12 times, one time was at noon and they said they were not open yet. i think it’s a front for something else.

My Go-to place when I haven’t had lunch or need to eat something with rice in between class. There’s some tables but this place is meant to be a to-go type food place. You get a decent portion of salad and gyoza in your bento box. I’m usually pretty satisfied when I order shrimp tempura bento box.

Tried the chicken teriyaki bowl. Lots of questionable little pieces of meat. Not sure if it was chicken or dog. I second the saltiness reviews. I ate the whole thing and I kinda wanna throw up.

I come here when I’m craving some Taiwanese/Japanese food and want something simple to take home after a long day, and this place always hits the spot! The owners, a friendly couple, are the only ones running the shop. They’re so friendly, and they make everything to order so you know that what you’re getting is freshly prepared. I usually go for the chicken katsu bento, and it comes with a bunch of side dishes so you get some variety. Be aware that this shop is very small, and there’s not a lot of seating since I think it’s meant for take out. But hey, what’s not to love about lounging at home in your pjs with some quality food?!

I was really excited to see the name cause I love bento boxes but this was like a county fair trying to make bento. It tasted good but for a few more bucks I could have got legit bento from a great Japanese restaurant. So while I enjoyed it, I don’t think it was worth the money and I won’t be buying it again.

The bento boxes were pretty average, with nothing that stood out too much. This restaurant might sound Japanese but it’s actually owned by a Chinese couple. Their prices are on the high side, with their portion sizes pretty small too. The wait for me was around 20 minutes for dinner so make sure to call in ahead of time if you can. There are drinks and little Japanese snacks on the side you can browse while waiting for your food. I tried their chicken and salmon combo, with their chicken decently cooked but the sauce was a little off. The salmon on the other hand was a little drier than I’d like it. My friend’s tonkatsu tasted better than my bento box but just a little on the salty side. There’s no bathroom so hold it in or take it to go!

I ordered the Teriyaki Beef and Fried Shrimp bento. It costs $ 10.99. The food tastes great, especially the Teriyaki Beef. However, the food portion is super tiny. Overall, the food does not worth the price even though it is tasty. I hope the food portion could have been larger.

Despite the decent customer service I was a bit disappointed with the food. I would have thought for a bento place that their bento box was a hit. Unfortunately, it was my least favorite and I would rather order a bento box at a sushi restaurant. Sadly, I will not make another visit. Quality of food: ordered #13 Teriyaki chicken with shrimp and California rolls Meat– The chicken was dry(overly cook) It didn’t have the teriyaki flavor, perhaps slightly salty. Rice– worse rice ever– super soggy/sticky. It looked like one piece of shiny white goo. Fried Shrimp– pretty tasty(best and only thing I enjoyed) California rolls– Un-fresh rolls, rolls were rolled with the same soggy(over sticky) rice. I had high hopes but unfortunately this place is a fail.

The teriyaki chicken bento is delicious. The prices are on the high side, and don’t be fooled by the word«bento» — the owners are Chinese and the food has a Chinese flavor. But still, if you aren’t looking for authentic Japanese food, the teriyaki chicken is good.

Had Chicken Teriyaki and Salmon bento. Both are too salty. The Salmon was dry and the chicken meat was like chewy rubbery. I am not a picky person but I know what good food is like. When you run the restaurant, you want to prepare the food the way you want to eat it yourself.

Meh, nothing authentic. This place is more of a To-Go type of spot where you want a quick fix for teriyaki or bento style Japanese. Come here for the convenience, not the quality. Even the chicken teriyaki tasted a little off. If you’re not picky about your Japanese food, then this place offers good portions for decent prices. Fast service too.

A full meal refreshingly presented at a very reasonable price for those who want food fast without resorting to fast food. This diner a veteran of the Cupertino casual dining scene revolving around Cupertino City center heartfeltdly endorses I Love Bento.

It’s our first time trying their TW bento and we like it! It’s fresh, healthy and delicious! Besides the main dish, the small dishes are diverse and tasty as well! I like the stir fried vegetables(as a side dish) and the pork with bamboo shoot I ordered. Authentic flavor and make you want to eat more white rice. We didn’t buy any JP snacks from them since you can get those from supermarkets, but we’ll go back to try other TW bentos soon.

For those nights when I do not want to cook or go out, I call this place up and order the chicken tonkatsu bento for pick up. The portions are good for the price and the tonkatsu is never dry, I wish they would give you two tonkatsu sauce packets as it only comes with one and I always forget to ask for another one. Even though its a bento restaurant it is not Japanese style bentos, Id say maybe more Taiwanese? I do appreciate the little snacks they have but some are overpriced compared to an Asian grocery store. The convenience of how close it is from my work draws me to this place. The customer service is always great!

Eh… it’s not horrible but for your money there is way better places. The sushi is straight up gross and the chicken clearly hasn’t been marinated enough. I get the impression they don’t care really about the food they are putting out the guy who owns the place is not very friendly. I would have given this place 2.5 stars if that was an option but it is closer to two than three.

This place gets the job done. I ordered the chicken teriyaki rice bowl $ 6.99 and the shrimp and beef bento $ 9.99(salad, orange slice, rice, beef, 2 fried shrimps, 2 dumplings. Price is okay, and food is decent. Decent quality, nothing outstanding. This is mainly a takeout place since there’s not much seating area. There’s also drinks and a bunch of Asian snacks sold at the side!

This place is the fast food of bento. Not great but good for the price if you are craving bento and don’t want a huge sit down meal. There is no bathroom or much seating so be prepared to take your food to go or eat fast.

Yes, Bento, I HEART you :) It’s a cute shape, easy, and really convenient way to have a home-cooked Japanese meal on-the-go. And at this teeny tiny mom and pop shop, they sell quite excellent bento boxes and lunch specials for an affordable price. I have ordered their chicken katsu and teriyaki chicken in the past for about $ 7.50 each. Chicken katsu was delicious! They did remind me of the katsu from L&L haiwaiian, but these were definitely better! The teriyaki chicken was doused in good amounts of teriyaki sauce; surprisingly tasty and not that salty. The portion was tiny, though, but they packed the bento boxes with so many goodies(gyoza, fish cakes, salad, and fruits) that you don’t really notice. Overall, a good light lunch that doesn’t leave you feeling sleepy afterwards ;) Also, the food can take a really long time to prepare, so call ahead. And even then, you might have to wait some more, especially during their rush lunch hour. Oh, and it’s $ 10 minimum for CC!

It’s decent, but it certainly isn’t enough to fill me for the price point. Their chicken katsu and teriyaki chicken was pretty good, but the fact of the matter is; it just doesn’t fill me up. If you’re someone who needs to EAT and EAT a lot, I’m not entirely sure that this place can fill you up. This isn’t a knock on the business, it’s just that if you’re really hungry, and in a rush, I would avoid this place and go elsewhere. But if you’re in the mood for a bento, but don’t want to front a sit-down bill, head on over here!
