I’ve had a painful conjunctivitis (pinkeye from bacterial infections) in both of my eyes for 2 weeks, and needed the antibiotics. I made an appointment with one doctor close by, but it got really bad, and needed to see a doctor today. So I contacted the office of Spectrum Eye, and they gave me an appointment with Dr. Mastman.
After the lab technician gave a brief exam, Dr. Mastman saw me right away, examined my eyes, and explained my conditions (just the infection, thank god) and treatment thoroughly, gave me a bottle of antibiotics, and said to call him back if I needed further treatment for it or if it gets worse.
During the entire visit, he was very kind, professional, caring and assuring. My eyes felt a lot better with even my first application of the eye drop.
Due to the insurance deductable I have, I needed to pay for the entire visit today, which was less than $ 90 wearas I’d been charged close to $ 300 + for a similar visit at a different clinic in Santa Clara a few years back.
I highly recommend Dr. Mastman if you are looking for a new ophthalmologist in the area.

When my daughter was a wee one, she had a very serious accident where she needed to have cataract surgery and have the lens in her right eye replaced — or she would have been blind.
Dr. Mastman and his staff were wonderful, patient, and professional in caring for my daughter. She went through two surgeries to replace her ocular lens and to remove scar tissue from her eye.
I’m very thankful to Dr. Mastman and his professional staff in helping my daughter maintain her sight.
