Intimate and personal setting, loved the vibe! Adam, the general manager was extremely friendly and knowledgable. Wine was great… this was our favorite stop we have made so far! Overall a great experience, plan on returning. Staff was also super friendly, made you feel welcome. Can’t wait to return!

Jim Waters is a superb wine craftsman and is highly respected among his peers. This little hidden gem is always on my «must visit» list when heading to wine country. People who know and respect the nuances of North Fork offerings will love this place. LI Chef extraordinaire Tom Schaudel is a huge fan and frequently brings his talents to Waters Crest events. Jim, Jennie and the whole crew are knowledgeable about everything happening in the local area and are great resources as well as fun, friendly people. Unlike the bigger«factory-like» wineries, visiting Waters Crest is like being invited into someone’s home.

This is another of the wineries that my mom and I hit during our Mother-Daughter weekend vacation in the North Fork. We missed the place on the first pass because unlike the other locations we visited, Waters Crest is located in a small outlet of stores and not an actual vineyard. The shop, while small, was clean and the staff greeted us warmly. For tastings, it is $ 2 for a white and $ 3 for a red; the full flight is $ 15 for 6 pours. We shared a full flight which consisted of «Whites & Rose», 2013 Pinot Blan, 2012 Reserve Chardonnay, 2013 Dry Riesling, 2010 Campania Rossa and the 2010 Cabernet Franc Grand Vin. The Whites & Rose was a dry rose which was sweet and had floral notes. The 2013 Pinot Blanc was dry and mild with notes of citrus and apples. The 2012 Reserve Chardonnay was mildly fruity. The 2013 Dry Riesling was dry, mild and had a very clean after-taste — this one was our favorite among the wines and probably our favorite white we had at all the vineyards we toured. The 2010 Campania Rosso was a dry and bold red blend. The 2010 Cabernet Franc Grand Vin had a smokey aroma and taste with notes of dark fruits. The wines were good but the lack of ambiance takes away from it a lot. It’s not my favorite among the vineyards but the wine is decent and the staff are polite and knowledgeable. If you are looking for a place with a more romantic atmosphere though, this might not be the place to stop. But if you are just looking for a more casual tasting, then it’s worth a trip.

Waters Crest makes fantastic wine. Their tasting room is intimate and welcoming. The woman who runs the tasting room, Jennie, is professional, friendly, and super knowledgeable. She truly loves the wines she sells, and the wine industry in general. She is an encyclopedia of information regarding wine making and wineries on the North Fork. Feel free to «pick her brain,» she’ll happily answer all your questions. Be sure to stop at Waters Crest on your wine tasting tour, you’ll be happy you did!

Went here for a tasting a few weeks back and it was a wonderful experience! The owner is passionate, friendly and an all around great guy. The wines are tasty and they do not rush you during the tasting or push you to buy. Definitely a great place to visit on the North Fork.

Nice small business. Owner is super nice and welcomes all questions. Not the best wine i’ve tried on the north fork but very decent and i’m always happy to support small business owners who do what they do for the love of it.

Very small, store front, winery… but definitely one of my favorites. All the wine I sampled(3 red &3 white) were very good. Their dessert/ice wine is by far the best you’ll ever have. It is seriously amazing. Go try out this Winery. You won’t be disappointed.

I own Stirling House B&B in Long Island Wine Country, and many hundreds of my guests have visited Waters Crest Winery over the years, joined its wine club, barrel club, gifted me WC wine, and RAVED. So do I, I love it — enough to carry it at my B&B to sell to guests! The wine is award-winning world class product. Vine University is Jim Water’s wine making class, and it is seriously worth it, for the wine alone(2 ½ cases!) Over the years, and countless visits to the winery with friends, family, and many dozens of guests with Vine Time, Waters Crest is great not only for the wine, but also the people associated with the winery. Jen, the tasting room manager is terrific, and Linda and Jim are wonderful and passionate about their wine. This should be a definite stop while you are visiting the North fork Wine Trail.

The experience at Water’s Crest Winery is second to none. Jim Waters is friendly, intelligent and always on the move. Soon after meeting Jim, his deep knowledge and passion for wine making become evident. He is eager to share his passion, as he patiently educates customers new to wine and engages in meaningful discussions with more experienced wine connoisseurs. The atmosphere is always warm and welcoming at Water’s Crest. Jim and Jennie give each and every customer kind and respectful attention. The tastings are an experience– much more than a simple pour. You will leave the winery feeling like you have new friends on the North Fork. Importantly, you will also feel appreciated and respected. It should be mentioned that Jim’s wines are amazing! A personal favorite is Water’s Crest Cab Franc. The newly released Rose is awesome. When on the North Fork Wine Trail, you should visit Water’s Crest first to share and enjoy great wine with great people. You can then go to neighboring vineyards for entertainment and standard«tastings».
