Very friendly owner, who was attentive throughout our meal. Food was excellent. I had Tom Yum soup, my husband had the grilled salmon, and we shared the combo(chicken and shrimp) fried rice. Soup was very flavorful, salmon was seasoned just right right, the grilled vegetables that came with the salmon were excellent. My husband usually eats his veggies begrudgingly, but he genuinely enjoyed these. But the highlight of the meal was the fried rice. Some places barely season their fried rice, while others drown it in soy sauce. But this place hit the Goldilocks mark on the fried rice. It was also very reasonably priced for three entrees, only $ 34. We will definitely be back.

UPDATE: SEEORIGINALREVIEWBELOW. ***So after leaving my original review of Asian and Mini’s Seafood I, on 08/13/2015, received two private responses below from someone named Kimnay C, who either owns or works at the restaurant. I responded and told them that due to their response to my HONEST, ANDPERSONALOPINIONANDREVIEW of their restaurant, they no longer have to worry about me patronizing their restaurant. Don’t email me and tell me to «just be grateful I got my food hot and fast». I ordered the seafood gumbo, not Asian gumbo(is there such a thing?) and it had shrimp that you had to search for with a magnifying glass. I also pointed out that the restaurant was empty because it was 12:30, and I expected to see a lunch crowd or the remnants. I think it is very telling when a restaurant has not one car in front or person inside. Then you have the balls to email me and tell me that basically my opinion is wrong because your establishment has been ranked as Elite ’15? Customer service ranks #1 in my book. Your food wasn’t that bad. It was decent. Your customer service isn’t. Take your Elite ’15 and shove it. Changing my three stars to one giant Hell nawww! Their two responses to my original friendly but honest review copy and pasted below: For your review of: Asian And Mini’s Seafood And yes our fries was indeed frozen in a bag but. most restaurants have them in a bag and you couldn’t assume its was just generic and if it wasn’t in a containment it either be rotten. And yes our décor is plain but we were planning getting some art work and you can judge a restaurant that had a Elite 15 ranking and gave us a decent rating For your review of: Asian And Mini’s Seafood I like it you enjoy our food but… Our gumbo isn’t seafood flavor it’s mostly Asian and our restaurants is indeed empty but when you see a empty restaurant at least be grateful you got it(and quoted) «Hot and fast» _________________________________________________________________________ Original review: Ehhhhh. That’s how I sum up my visit here. It wasn’t bad, but I don’t know that I will make a special trip back just to eat here. Visited in the afternoon, and the entire place was empty. Therefore, I did get my food hot and fast. I got the seafood gumbo, and while it was good, it did not have much seafood in it. I got the fried shrimp platter and while the shrimp were good, the fries were generic frozen fries out of a bag. The décor is lacking. Unfortunately, it makes the restaurant look really tacky and cheap. The server at the counter was nice. If I was hungry, I would stop in again, but I wouldn’t make a special trip.

A small local restaurant with reasonably priced, delicious/flavorful food, friendly staff and quick service. The cook, who I assume is the owner as well, took time to greet customers and checked to see how the food was. My bf and I got the shrimp fried rice, chicken skewers(both dishes were recommended by our waiter) and fried seafood platter(1 fish, 6 shrimps). The chicken skewers comes with 4 skewers, a cup of white rice and cabbage slaw. The fried seafood platter comes with fries and your choice of a salad or coleslaw. The shrimps were jumbo sized and the fish was a thicker filet than you would normally get at other places, both lightly battered. I don’t know what kind of fish we got but it definitely doesn’t taste like catfish, and if it is then it’s had a very clean taste. The fish was also flaky and moist. Everything was delicious! Even their chips and salsa was good(not a menu item, I think it’s a complimentary dish). I would definitely come back and recommend others to check this place out. Support the locals =]

This restaurant closed for a short period of time and reopened with a new owner and slightly new name. It is now called Asian and Mini’s Seafood. The menu is similar to the old one in that they still offer fried and grilled seafood but now they offer more Asian food and no longer serve steaks. I have dined here twice since the reopening. First time I tried the Shrimp Pad Thai for $ 11.99. It contained rice noodles with shrimp, chicken and crushed nuts. I thought it was good and a large serving(3.5). I would order it again. My second visit I had a small seafood gumbo($ 4.99) and their 1 fish, 6 shrimp dinner that comes with fries and salad or cole slaw for $ 8.99. The gumbo was very good(4) and comes with rice on the side. I got the small size and it was almost big enough for a meal. The fish then came out and it was good too(4). I like their cole slaw here. Also the 6 shrimp were large and very good along with the 1 fish fillet(4). The serving of fries are your standard frozen variety sprinkled with some Cajun seasoning(3). Both times my service was very good(4). I am giving an overall score to a 4. Please understand the food here is very good and economical. I will return to this restaurant and recommend you do too. If you come here you will get good food, large servings and at very reasonable prices with very good service. Shrimp po boy is a 4!
