My experience here is quite a bit different from the other reviews. I found the crawfish to be seriously lacking in the flavor category. They were dirty, standard field run quality albeit well sized. Its a cool concept, and it would be great if the crawfish were seasoned better during the boiling process. Its almost a sure that when you order crawfish in Houston, you are getting seasoning caked on the outside, not soaked into the crawfish as it should be. The joint always looks packed, so maybe thats just how people round here like it.

i was so excited to try this place after the good reviews… sorry to say that it was a bummer… being from louisiana, i know first hand how good spicy crawfish should taste. the size was good, the peeling was good, but the smell was more like aged seafood, and the seasoning was none existent. they tasted like they were boiled in the crawfish boil with not enough of the crawfish boil added… there was no spice to the seasoning at all! what a bummer and waste of time and money because i got it to go.

I bought live crawfish from them for a Mother’s Day crawfish boil for our family and couldn’t be more pleased. The owners were nice enough to meet me at the barn prior to opening for the day, prices were competitive, and the bugs were fresh and big. I can only imagine how great they are when they cook them. I highly recommend this place if you want a great experience.

Was recommend by a coworker to check this place out and was impressed on how well the crawfish were prepared and seasoned. I hit this place up every Friday after work. You can get sausage and corn included with your order, highly recommend this place. Would give another star if had a little more juice in crawfish when sucking the head. But still very good.

Crawfish is well seasoned. Can’t beat the BYOB policy.

I ordered 2 lbs to go this past Saturday and I was not impressed. I guess I’m used to juicy crawfish not a dry rub style. The crawfish looked a bit dirty as you can see in the pic. I probably wont be back due to the lack of juiciness and salty not spicy flavor. It was a great setting and I liked the live music. Overall a tad bit disappointed considering all the reviews.

Very disappointed this year. Crawfish were bland, dry, and many had a mealy texture. It was my last trip there.

Crawfish was very good and cheap. My friends and I shared the special 3lb of crawfish, 1lb shrimp and the sides. The corn and sausage were delicious but the potatoes were dry. Overall the crawfish was overly seasoned and I would’ve enjoyed it more if they were juicier. I like to suck on the heads but most of them were super dry. Might come back for the cheap price.

Too salty to enjoy. I wanted to like it, but it was extremely too salty. In all fairness, I was born and raised in NOLA and my crawfish standards are high. I also didn’t enjoy sitting outside in the heat swatting away numerous flies competing for my food. It’s super hard finding crawfish places in this area that genuinely knows how to make Louisiana style crawfish.

The crawfish and shrimp were generously seasoned and delicious. The customer service was phenomenal. The women working when we went were so kind and went above and beyond to make my daughter and I feel welcome. We took our order to go, but I can’t wait to go back with a cooler of beer and the rest of our family to hang out at the picnic tables and eat. Relaxed, laid-back atmosphere, good food, good people. What more could you ask for?

Not impressed. …definitely would not come back. Got the«extra spicy» crawfish and was very bland and dry. Service was okay. If you must come here, BRINGYOUROWNHOTSAUCE. Crawfish n more and cravin cajun are way better with a friendlier staff.

Got off work tonight and wanted some crawfish, was gonna go to Bluewater but there was a long wait. I see this place everyday on the way home, called in a order, it was ready quickly. Ran into some friends picking up our food, we decided to sit outside and eat. The bugs are fantastic! Big, hot and flavorful. Corn, potatoes and sausage were great! It’s BYOB so next time I’ll prepare better, all I’ll pack a can of Off too, that’s about the only drawback. The owner is a cool dude too, I will DEFINITELY be returning!!!

No frills but a great boil. The shrimp were tasty as well. Bring an ice chest full of Lone Star and have at it.

This is family– run crawfish boil. The crawfish had a nice kick to it, and the size of the crawfish was not too puny. The shrimp had the same seasoning, it was good, firm meat. Seating is an open barn with backyard picnic tables. Bonus: BYOB

Called in an order to pick up to go. Had no idea that this place was tucked away off Cypress Rosehill. It opened up January 2013. Great crawfish! Crawfish are a mix of all sizes. Seasoning is delicious. Not too spicy– maybe a little on the salty side. But tastes so good. The four pounds we bought was very much enjoyed. We also ordered corn and potatoes along with it. Corn was yummy! Potato wasn’t cooked through all the way though. :(I understand not wanting the potato to sit in the seasoning too long because it really soaks it up and can become way salty– but potato was bland and undercooked. Service is friendly. The place itself was a fun little joint. Dirt parking lot with a barn and trailer. Order at the window in the trailer. If you do eat, they have an indoor and outdoor seating area. It’s also BYOB, which is great. It’s a very relaxed atmosphere. There’s a cornhole board out there. I saw some kids with chalk. Very family friendly. They also have a handwashing station just outside the dining area and a portable toilet off to the side. I would be happy to order here again! They keep updates on their Facebook page here:
