Best home made sandwich shop ever around this area. If you ever want the home made style sandwich for the right price this is the place. Subway is not even comparable to this location, the legit ingredients and the freshness makes you realized how bad of a company call subway. You have to try Turkey bacon avocado sandwich, the freshness and the pricing is too legit. Best mom and pops store for sandwich in this area, awesome customer service!

BEST subs! They use a lot of meat and the bread is perfect. Love their vegetable soup they have on Mondays & Tuesdays. Great local spot we go to at least once a week!

Tried this place based on a bunch of reviews from locals. This place is so good! We got a sandwich and it tasted great. I took my daughter with me and she was highly impressed also. Their customer service is really great also. They truly seem like they care about you and your business which is nice considering some places don’t now a days. I will definitely become a regular here.

I am thrilled to have CJ Deli in the neighborhood. I work down the street and it’s my new go to for a healthier lunch option. Their location has seen some turn over and I hope they are here to stay. So far I’ve only had their sandwiches and they are delicious! Their healthier and vegetarian options are some of the best I’ve had. Fresh ingredients-​cucumber, sprouts, carrots. Great deli meat, perfect egg salad and chicken salad, simple but seasoned perfectly and not too much mayonnaise. Looking forward to trying their salads and teriyaki. Please support this small business!

Happened to be in the mood for a sandwich and I opened up the trusty Unilocal app and began my search. This little place came up nearby and I drove right there. The place is in a little strip center, at Ball and Walker. A very nice guy takes my order, which was a turkey, avo, provolone, lettuce, tomato, mayo and mustard, on squaw bread and a bag of chips (8.50). I went back to work and opened the bag to find a beautiful, soft, delicious sandwich. Everything was perfect, the bread was soft, the avo was ripe, and the turkey was flavorful. I really enjoyed the sandwich. Also, the place is meticulously clean. Please enjoy.

We LOVE CJ Deli! The family that owns and runs it are some of the nicest people. They put their heart and soul into this place and their food really shows it. From the freshest meats, to the quality of their homemade soups, and best tasting breads, I have loved each and every visit. I hope to try most everything on the menu at some point. But keep circling back to my favorites: sausage breakfast burrito; roast beef sandwich on French roll; chicken & cashew on squaw; and the chicken teriyaki plate. I highly recommend CJ Deli. Oh, did I mention they cater :)

I came in this morning and ordered a Chicken Salad on Squaw, it came with everything on it. As I was eating into the first half I bit into something very hard and rubbery, almost like a soft bone or gristle. I think they grind whole chicken down to make the salad, so that’s probably why it happened. I was really excited to try CJ Deli as I’ve heard good things, but this really disappointed me as it was my first time, I will definitely not be returning.

I absolutely love their Healthy Tuna! It is so delicious! The service is always great and friendly.

Best place in orange county to stop by and get some breakfast/​lunch.
Their combo teriyaki plate is A+ material.

BEST SANDWHICHES EVER!
I’m not joking. I work for the State Farm in the same shopping center. I’ve been going here every day for lunch since they opened and since then, I’ve been hooked. John, the owner is a great, humble, hands-​on owner. Him and his mom make this family restaurant feel comfortable & a great place to eat. I think the only bad Unilocal review this place has is from an unknown person who’s ONLY reviewed this place on her entire Unilocal account and gives entirely WRONG info, so don’t mind that. Give this place a try, it’s definitely worth more than 5 stars!!!

Awesome sandwiches! I ordered the turkey on squaw bread, everything was so fresh and a lot of meat… Owner is very friendly and atmosphere is clean and nice… My fellow teachers and I enjoy eating here.

What a rip off! Don’t see the appeal whatsoever.
1. I found a hair in my food
2. I don’t know what all this crap is about fresh bread… Mine tasted pretty stale
And 3. Don’t be fooled!!! Their sub sizes are not normal… I thought ordering a large would be a footling sub like most shops… They are 10″ which they didn’t clarify … And the price was high especially for skimping us those 2 inches.
Won’t be back. I’m sticking to what I know and love.

Called in an order to deliver to the high school and again, freshest, softest French roll stuffed to the seams with turkey, bacon, avocado and added cheese. Love the variety of drinks since I needed a cold Gatorade and they had cold Gatorade (among many other choices)! Score!

Today was my first time going to CJs and I was impressed! They have delicious sandwiches and great customer service. John is a pleasure and is quick to crack a joke, especially about subway 3 doors down. Hands down going back!
I recommend the #52, can’t go wrong!

So glad I finally found a great sandwich spot close to home. They have a variety of options such as salads, soups, sandwiches, and teriyaki bowls. I got a roast beef sandwich with avocado on a french roll. They aren’t shy with there meats. I came in around lunch time and they were pretty crowded. If your in a rush I recommend you calling in your order.

While I was pre bummed that the Katsu Noodle School closed, I’m happy to say CJ Deli is a delicious replacement! I stopped in today, around noon, and ordered a #49 «Submarine»; I opted for the Regular, instead of Large, on a French roll, with everything. DELICIOUS! I even had to let the sandwich sit for a little while, because I had some errands to run, and it was still very fresh by the time I got home.
The «Submarine» is a standard Italian sandwich; it has ham, cappacolla, salami, mortadella, provolone, and Italian dressing. It also came with tomato and shredded lettuce. They don’t skimp on the meat or dressing. I was stuffed by the time I finished. And at $ 6.75, I thought it was a good deal.
Their menu has a lot of variety: standard Cold and Hot Sandwiches, Specialty Sandwiches (of which the Submarine is one), Healthy Sandwiches (which look interesting and far from boring), «Sumptuous» Salads, Homemade Soup (of the day), and House Special Teriyaki. They also offer a Breakfast menu with Sandwiches and Burritos.
All sandwiches come on either: French roll, white, wheat, Rye, Squaw, or sourdough. The Breakfast sandwiches come on either: white, wheat, Rye, Squaw, sourdough, croissant, or bagel. The burritos are made with flour tortillas.
You can make any sandwich a meal by adding chips and a drink. The chip variety looked pretty good; they offer a selection of fountain drinks (self-​service) or specific drinks (Starbucks iced coffee, bottled water, etc.).
Deli Specials are meals, like, ½ Cold Sandwich and Soup, etc. The most expensive Special is $ 7.25, which is a total steal!
The location is a little small but very clean and bright. The staff/​owners are very friendly and quick.
I will probably make this place part of my regular rotation!

Was driving by with some co workers for lunch and noticed a new spot that took over the noodle school. Gave it a go… Food was fresh made and very flavorful. Steak sandwich is bomb and highly recommended. Will be back to check out the rest of the menu. Nice owner and staff makes you feel comfortable.
