Del Taco

Long lines and poor hygiene. Ordering a burrito watching this guy fill the ice machine but with a twist he uses his hands to move the ice around the container. Did u say he didn’t wear gloves? Will never eat here.

I wish I could give no stars because of the rude worker taking orders at the drive-​thru. Dude, it’s not my fault you hate your job…

The only reason I ever go to this Del Taco location is because I live right across the street. This is the slooooooowest fast food franchise ever. I’m not exaggerating but it is usually at least a 10 min. wait in the drive thru line, last time took 20. And it seems they are slow regardless if they are busy or not. They dont apologize for the long wait and they do not have good customer service.

We went to Del Taco today. I ordered a Mexican Chopped Chicken salad as well as a Burrito. While awaiting my order, I observed the food preparer grabbing my lettuce, shredded cheese, chicken etc. with her bare hands!!! No gloves!!! We requested our money back, which we received, and went home to eat. So gross! I will never frequent this establishment again. I’m just glad that we didn’t utilize the Drive-​thru window, as we would have never known.

Right now until I get this matter resolved I am not planning on returning due to an improperly made order. I usually get the combo # 5 with no lettuce on my soft tacos and no ice in my drink.
Besides the fact I found quite a few pieces of lettuce on both tacos the cashier gave me a cup so heavy with ice that I was surprised to feel any soda in it. She also cut me off before I was able to order my quesdilla which I really would have enjoyed…
Joana was totally rude when I mentioned this to her and acted very much like she was posing and stuck up.
After this experience if they don’t correct their actions I will be leaving this review at 1 star and likely never eating at this location or with this chain again. And this is sad considering as a student at Cypress College I have had good experiences in the past here.
Update: The manager did remake my meal the following week but I am now eating out more selectively. I probably will be back to a corporate location in Westminster later this month for my «birthday shake,» but for now I just wanted to update this review.

Food poisoning! Spent all weekend sick and the doctor confirmed food poisoning. Had a bean and cheese burrito with sour cream and onions. Immediately sick and in horrible pain afterwards. This location could use an inspection. I grew up eating at this Del Taco and it was always good. So disappointed to know I’ll never go back.

Came here several times, only to find filthy tables and dirty floors. Observed worker dropping my tortillas on the dirty floor and picked it up off the floor to make my combo burrito. To top it off, the cook even handed me this dirty food. My friend and i spoke to the lady manager who apologized and gave me a replacement burrito. Just 2 weeks ago, a drive thru worker swept the food debris off the table with his filthy, dirty broom stick and then without cleaning the table, he resumed working the drive up. I brought it to his attention and all he could say was, yes Mamm. Another worker who witnessed this finished wiping the tables.
I will never again patronize this Del Taco. The health department should intervene and shut down this location until employees are properly trained to not re — use food that has spilled, or dropped on the floor. I feel sorry for the customers who have to eat dirty food from dirty tables! Who is supervising who?

Can’t go wrong with the batter beer fish tacos, cookies and fries!!! I don’t get why everyone has to be a negative nancy. It’s good food and I’ve never had issues with my tacos or burritos.

This place looks deserted when you drive by it. No really… you can’t see that the lights are on inside, I didn’t see any cars in the parking lot… it was looking rough but my kids were hungry and we were just going through the drive-​thru.
So I got to the drive-​thru window where you pay and changed my order — YES, I did… I became one of THOSE people — lol. That’s what happens when you have kids in the backseat… The girl at the window was patient, gracious, and through it all, never stopped smiling!!!
While I usually never change my order when I get to the window, if I ever did it again, it would definitely be here where no one seems to mind!
Overall: I’ll be back for the great customer service! Thanks :)

We normally love this del taco. Our food is always right and comes out quick, and the people in the drive through are always friendly.
But today we came and the drive through guy was not very nice, and although our food was fresh and hot I had a long plastic wire/​string in my burrito. I will never eat here, and possibly del taco, ever again.

Horrible del taco. The other reviews were completely correct (should have read them before coming here). You have to check your order every time. Ordered 2 hard shell tacos and asked for NO tomatoes. Get home and of course there are tomatoes on both tacos. Will never come back here again! No wonder they only rate 2 stars in total!

They had three employees working for taco Tuesday. very very slow service. The manager seems like a micromanager. don’t like that at all. especially when she confronts an employee in front of customers.

Went through the drive through at 1am. Got two orders of macho nachos and two chicken soft tacos. The food was cold the tacos were dry and crumbling apart and the cheese was a greasy knot. The nachos had a total of 13 pieces of diced tomatoes and only on the chicken on the steak there was none. The beans were white and dry the steak was so dry it was actually crunchy the chicken nachos were drowning in cheese sauce all in all it was just awful. If you cant provide fresh hot food at 1am when no one is there then don’t be open at that hour. I would hate to see what they sell during a rush.
P. s. The manager offered to replace the food. But why would i go back there to have my food messed with out of spite for making a complaint. Perhaps offering vouchers good at any del taco so i can go to good one like the one on western and lincoln. Avoid this place like the plague!

I don’t want to have to check every food item I order.
I’ve been several times and they never fail to mess something up, usually through the drive through.
Ask for extra sauce… get no sauce.
Ask for a taco with no lettuce, get one with lettuce!
Ask for a double meat taco, get one that weighs a whole ounce less than it is supposed to.
Order a ½ lb bean burrito, get a 6.9 oz bean burrito (this has happened twice to me recently)
For the average consumer, dry pinto beans are 1.00 or less per pound.
One dry pound makes a HUGE pot of beans, certainly more than the one pound of dry they started out as. So in other words, beans are some of the cheapest ingredients out there, and you’re gonna short them on a burrito which is specifically defined by weight? Really?
We are slowly eliminating locations by how much they screw up on orders. The one that is one block away from us used to top the list but almost every visit here is a thumbs down for one reason or another.
Oh yeah… and today I tried to call them to complain and their phone was off the hook from 4pm onwards… Way to do business, guys.

Wish I could give this place zero stars. I’ve been here a few times since it is so close to my work. I came in a little bit ago on my short lunch break, and waited 15 minutes for a cheese quesadilla. Honestly I should have just walked out. After waiting for forever, I received a quesadilla that wasn’t even fully cooked. I should have learned my lesson. The quesadilla was even thrown onto the counter, and was not fully even wrapped. I just threw it away and walked out, and I will now be hungry all day. Thanks for the awesome experience!

Let me just say, I LOVE DEL TACO! I’ve made it a goal to visit all of them, well close to that. The value menu and the coupons can’t be beat for a college student always on the move and hungry.
I didn’t think this location was as bad as others here seem to think. Food has always been hot, cheese a good consistency of melting goodness, and the line was quick and efficient. Their iced coffee is pretty good and I’ll put off eating lunch sometimes when I’m going to pass through the Cypress area to stop at this one.

I’m pretty sure everyone knows how bad this place is by reading the existing reviews.
It really baffles me when a fast food chain is this horrible!
So basically, I tried ordering the new chicken crunchtada and as I pulled out of the drive-​thru to look at my lunch, the imbecile of a worker put in my crunchtada vertically. Obviously, all of the toppings fell off the tostada… Really?
Ugh, never again.

Love this place since i was younger :)
I love their del scorcho sauce and it’s the only hot sauce I like using normally.
