Donut Palace

Shorted me on a dozen donut holes one time, overcharged me twice, new person all the time that can’t operate the register, all those problems and the donuts aren’t very good.

Just left this place 03÷08÷16 @630am. I thought I would give them another chance after receiving a nice response from the business owner «Emily». Needless to say, the service was HORRIBLE! The lady at the counter was rude and mean. I asked for a Bacon, egg and cheese croissant and she became annoyed that she had to «make for me». She walked to the back and returned only to this something in the microwave. I saw the signs plastered all over the store that read «Mon/​Tues Special 1dozen donut for $ 5». So I asked for 1 dz donuts. She asked what kind and I said it didn’t matter. She boxed up a variety of donuts. When I went to pay, she charged me $ 10.71! I said the donut should be $.5. This is when things got CRAZY! She got pissed telling me the special was for glazed only and when I pointed out the sign and lack of verbage she got even angrier. I said that is fine, I will just take 1 dozen glazed. She became aggressive and sa she would sell me the variety pack for $ 5 but not to expect it on future visits and kept running her mouth. I repeated I would take the glazed and she refused. I said, «Do I need to leave?» She became so abusive verbally… treating me like a common thief. I wasn’t trying to get something for nothing. Shame on her! As often as I frequent this establishment, she should know better!!! Please support other local businesses that treat people with courtesy and respect, not this place!

This place is so good they have the best breakfast tacos in the city and it it’s worth the wait. They have this thing call Boudain Kolaches and is delicious. It’s usually packed on the weekends and the people there are so funny. I love this place. probably one of the best donut shops in Texas, better than Krispy Kreme.
