If you want the toughest, stringiest chicken fried steak in the world with gravy that taste like it was made with week old grease or fried oysters that obviously were frozen and then fried try this place.

This is my favorite place to eat in town! We usually come here and get crawfish(which are excellent!) but today I got a little daring and tried something new. I ended up having the Seafood grill and it was to die for! Friendly staff and great food. Can’t get any better than TMG!

Came here with family during dinner time. I ordered their Wednesday special 16 oz prime rib with mash potatoes and asparagus. The steak was cooked medium rare and was really juicy. Because it’s prime rib, it had a good amount of fat and the honey-glaze made it a little sweet. It came with the biggest asparagus I ever ate. Also came with really good mashed potatoes. They have some big screen tv’s to watch any sporting event. They also have a nice bar and private room for events. My only complaint would be the service took a little long to get be seated and get our check. Other than that, everything else was fine

Don’t like that place. I ordered the fried shrimp lunch basket that was at the bottom of the menu. I received fried shrimp and chicken basket. I told the waiter about it and he said that was the way it was served. Not correct. It was separate on the menu.

I visited this place when it first opened, I tried to leave a review then but was not listed yet. Ordered a Rib Eye Steak, got a Strip. Salads are extremely Small. Wings were good. I have not been back in over a year, looks looks like things have not gotten any better from all of the reviews since.

This place is such a find in a part of town with not much to choose from. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a local grill, but cozy, good service, full bar and the quail bites are awesome!

Super nice wait staff. Ordered the chicken fried steak which was average and the chicken brenham which was really good. The only thing that would’ve topped it off would be bacon on top. I may have to see if they can do that next time!!!

Great food! Great service and great price! We were just driving by and decided to try out this place because we didn’t see anything else we liked. We were glad we stopped by… And I’m typically a picky eater.

I strolled in here on a Sunday afternoon for a to-go order. The dining room was very clean and the staff was friendly. The menu was in my hand inside of 2 minutes from walking through the door. The first thing I notice are the prices. fairly steep for some of the items offered(burgers, fried chicken strips, etc) and on par for others(Gulf caught fish, steaks, etc). If you’re here with kids then don’t bother with the kids menu because there isn’t one. I settle with a classic cheese burger, fried chicken and shrimp, and an Ahi Tuna sandwich. All were ordered with French fries. It took 18 minutes to prepare from the time of order. While waiting, I was given a complimentary drink. The tea is freshly brewed and in the same league with some of the local Chinese food joints.(this is a compliment!) I zip through some of the other Unilocal reviews, while waiting, to get an idea what to expect in food quality. I wasn’t too impressed, but we all have our good and bad days. My order arrives from the kitchen and the guy reviews it all with me. I can see that the fries are soggy right away. If management at this establishment is reading this, then soggy fries mean that your fryer oil is not hot enough. Some of the fries were clearly«fresh», yet soggy. I didn’t complain about the fries because we rarely eat them anyway. That and I don’t ever complain at a restaurant unless I can easily see my food being prepared. In the end, the tuna sandwich took the win here. The tuna was very slightly dry, which was overshadowed by the good mesquite flavor and it worked well with the sauce and greens. The cheese burger was average at best as were the fried chicken strips and shrimp. THERATING… I feel this establishment earns only three stars for a combination of reasons. On the surface, no kids menu suggests that kids are not really welcome, even if there is a «secret» menu for them. I made the shrimp and chicken work for my two younglings. I can tell that the 2 fryers are heavily used here. My meals had a few tortilla chips and fried jalapeño strings mixed in with the fries. Also, one of the fryers clearly needed it’s oil changed(see the dark fries below). Lastly…to the restaurant owner or manager… THROWTHEMICROWAVEINTHETRASH! You lost an entire star simply for having it. It’s very easily seen from the bar and it’s used far too much. My food didn’t go into it and believe me when I say that I would’ve said something if it had. I can microwave food in my own kitchen, I will not PAY someone else to do it for me. That being said, I may be back for a sit down meal with my family in the future. My tuna was good enough for another shot at a steak or a Gulf caught fish option on the menu. The atmosphere and location make it an ideal alternative to a crazy long wait at other establishments.

The food was OK. The quail bites are as good as everyone says but the service was horrendous. The server, Chandler F, forgot my order. It took 30 minutes for our food to arrive. My wife said no croutons and her salad had croutons.

Nasty nasty. Got a regular cheeseburger Togo. I live right behind this location. Less then 5 mins drive. Got home and my bun was soaked with water from the wet lettuce. Call management and was told. Ok we will let the kitchen management know. At least let me bring it back and get a different one ! I always give restaurant second chances. Not this one !

Wow! Went yesterday for lunch. Have not been in a while. Food was great! The crawfish were fabulous! Clean and a good size with lots of flavor! Will be going back very soon! The Best Place For Crawfish. We usually do Bluewater Seafood but this is closer and just as good if not better!

WORSTSERVICEEVER!!! Save yourself the headache. I rarely write reviews. And I have never written a bad one before. I try to politely let a manager know if I have a real issue so that they can fix it. And it has to be pretty bad for me to even let a manager know. Unfortunately not only did the manager not have a clue but she didn’t know what to say or how to respond when I told her we had a horrible experience. She said«I’ll let the GM know.» Well I can guarantee based on the other reviews that I see here(wish I had checked Unilocal before we decided to stop), I am sure that the GM will not be hearing about our bad service from her. And actually it wasn’t even bad service. There was NO Service. We were taken to a dirty table to be seated(that should have been a clue to run). It took 15 min to get a beer. Even though it was not very busy. We arrived at 4:45pm to a ½−¾ full restaurant. Plenty of staff on hand. We ordered side salads, onion rings, and 4# of crawfish. Salads came out in about 7 – 8 minutes. Then the onion rings in about 12 minutes. That’s where it stopped. After 25 minutes we had to go up to the bar area to ask another server because our server hadn’t been back to the table since taking the order. Other servers brought food out. One waiter tried to get us refills but ended up mixing up the drinks. After another 7 – 8 min the manager(lady in a maroon dress) brought us a bucket half full of crawfish that she carried to 2 other tables before ours. The server ran up behind her and said«sorry guys I forgot to ring in the crawfish». The manager didn’t acknowledge the issue and just walked away. After that we never saw our server again. We had to ask someone else for a check. The person we asked did tell our server. And after 7 or 8 minutes another lady in a kitchen apron brought our ticket. No clue who she was but she said«sorry I got stuck at the bar». Made no sense. Then the manager came by and picked up our credit card and then brought it back for us to sign. That’s when I just had to ask if she was the manager and she said yes. I asked her if she realized that we had had a horrible experience, waiting 30 minutes for crawfish. She said«no I had no idea». And she would let the GM know. Really??? That’s all you have to say? Save yourself and drive 5 more minutes into Cypress and go to Willie’s Icehouse. If they hadn’t run out of crawfish that is where we would have been. But my husband really wanted crawfish. Live and learn. We will NEVER be back.

I’m conflicted writing this review. On the plus side, we received excellent service and were treated great by the staff. However, the whole experience was just kind of disappointing. My dad ordered a double Crown Royal, which came out in a glass filled with crushed ice. Any good bartender would know that this is a huge no-no; the thin bits of ice melted quickly, diluting the Crown pretty quickly. It was also suspicious if it was actually a true double or not, given the crushed ice taking up so much room. My mom got a burger, which she said was pretty good, but her fries — as well as mine — disappointingly came out limp and cold. I got the fried oysters, which were AWESOME — until I picked up one that had the longest, gnarliest hair fried up into it. Gross. So gross. Thankfully, our server immediately picked it up and had a new plate made for me — while I waited for it, the manager came over, apologized profusely, and informed us that the dish had been taken care of. My new plate was hair-free, and best of all, my fries were PIPING hot! Just as fries should be! So, we were all left feeling conflicted. For every bad thing that happened, a good thing balanced it out. Like, the fries were great when they came out hot! But it took me getting a long hair fried into my food to get hot fries. So… take that as you will. However, I have a feeling that we might try it again; customer service can make or break a restaurant, and the attention we received was prompt and tactful. This place could be unstoppable with just a few tweaks.

If I could give them minus stars I would. Evidently, my previous review was removed. I use to eat at the one in Katy. The food and the service was ok not great, but ok. Moved to Cypress and was glad to see a new location opening. 1st visit, Order was wrong coming out. Once replaced, food was cold and dry. 2nd visit, Prime Rib night. Went at 6:45 p.m. on Prime Rib Wednesday. Was told they were out. Went to Salt Grass. 3rd(& last visit), ordered the redfish. Started eating and the scales were left on the fillet. Every bite you took had fish scales. Upon, complaining and offering a culinary tip of removing the scales before cooking, I was told that’s the way they do it. It was disgusting. No apology, no comp, no more business from me.

I wish I could be leaving a five start review, but I simply cannot. My husband and I came in to try this place! It’s close to where we live and our friends recommended it to us. We went in for dinner had a couple margaritas and some amazing food! Everything was cooked just right and looked and tasted very fresh! The only reason this isn’t a five start review was due to poor interaction with a manager. This lady did not look or act the part of a manager. For the majority of our visit we saw her sitting at a table talking and texting, my guess was that she was a host that had gotten off and was waiting for her ride home, but we were surprised when she walked up to our table in her skin tight, inappropriate outfit and introduced herself as Chelsea, one of the managers. She asked us some vague and useless questions then thanked us for coming in and quickly sat back down and began to talk again. We were told by our friends that during their first visit a manager presented them with a coupon for a free appetizer, which, not going to lie was a big reason we decided to have dinner there that night. Unfortunately, I think those coupons were too far from were she was sitting and talking. The interaction with her was awkward and we really could have done without it. She seemed like she was already done with her job and ready to hit the club in her unprofessional attire. I am very grateful that our server did such a good job and provided us with everything we needed, and minimized our interactions with Chelsea. Sadly, she left a terrible taste in our mouths after eating all that delicious food :(. We will be back, but will be disappointed if she is there.

Great management! My phone died while I was traveling, I went to the Bucee’s next door to charge my phone and was turned away because they couldn’t allow me to plug in my device for«liability reasons». I walked over to this place and was warmly greeted, promptly sat next to an outlet, and after offering to buy a drink in exchange for the hospitality, I was told to not worry about it and the manager brought me an ice water. Nice people make the world go around :) Keep up the great work, Texas Mesquite Grill!

My husband and I recently moved to Cypress. This restaurant is close to our house. We love it! We’ve gone several times and have made a point to order different things from the menu. Literally everything we’ve tried has been excellent. For all meals, they serve a house candied jalapeño cream cheese spread with crackers. It’s so tasty. We’ve tried the steaks, chicken, and several fish dishes. Our routine lately though, has been to go to their Sunday brunch. IT’S PHENOMENAL! Their brunch consists of about 6 – 7 different dishes listed on a separate brunch menu, complete with options for mimosa, coffee, bloody mary, etc. The French toast… SODELICIOUS! Their coffee is flavorful too! Despite it being in a shopping/business strip center, the restaurant has an upscale feel and nicely decorated, very clean, and well-maintained. GOEATHERE.

I discovered this new restaurant while driving on 290 and seeing it on the east side of the highway very close to the Bucees. Today it was lunch. When I walked in I noticed a good crowd eating both inside and out. The nice décor was inviting and after being seated decided on the mixed fajitas that were $ 11.95 for lunch but the same dish was $ 5 more for dinner. Here chips and salsa are not complimentary as this is not just a Tex Mex restaurant. When the food arrived with melted butter in a cup it everything I saw made me happy. It was a lot of food with both meats, onions and bell peppers, sour cream, pico and cheese. Guac is an extra charge. It also came with charro beans. The meal was very good. The charro beans were a 3 but the fajitas were a 3.5. My service was good. I would order it again however next time I want to try something else not tex mex. I will return. I am very close to giving this place a 4. Perhaps next time will sway me. Come eat here. P. S. They also serve brunch
