Food is sub par. Margaritas are overpriced for the quality. But the playground for the kids makes this a good spot to let them run while you enjoy adult conversation.

This was the first time I ever came here and it will be the last time. The lemonade was watered down. They send a bust boy to get my order and we asked her about a appetizer that we never seen before and she tells us it’s good and when we get it it’s oily and very chewy for a cheeses type dip. When I asked the real waiter she says that the Manger wants to charge us for it cause we should not have tried it. After that I decided to just close the tab and not order nothing. You would think they send a Manger to see what’s up. Never came… this place first experience was bad and I don’t recommend this place for first timers cause they don’t want new business… wish I could have given them a negative 10.

The food is very consistant from visit to visit, as most reputable Mexican restaurants are. I really enjoy their Tacos al Carbon w/queso on top. Cant ever go wrong with skirt steak. My daughter is a very picky eater and she even asks to go there for the cheese quesadillas(and the giant playground doesnt hurt either). Good food, keeps the kids busy, thats why were a regular here.

The food here is good but nothing special. My low rating is based on cleanliness(or lack thereof) and the staff never recognizing us as regulars even though we ate there just about every Friday night for a couple of years. There is dust everywhere which always made me wonder what the kitchen looked like. We would do without Mexican food before eating here again.

Great food! Service staff can be hit or miss depending on the time you go. We get good service more times then not. Homemade flour tortillas are amazing. One of the few Mexican restaurants we have found in Houston that offers a shredded beef chimichanga. Family has gone here for years. We drive 25 minutes and pass numerous Mexican restaurants to eat here!

Decent Mexican food at a very reasonable price. Interesting interior that feels like the streets of Mexico in a way. Fun outdoor play area for the kids with seating for the adults. Be careful — the margaritas will sneak up on you!

I have been to this restaurant many times and my experiences have always been excellent. There are always exceptions and my last visit was a big one. After constantly talking about how great the food and service was, I was excited to take my fiancé and have her see for herself. The hostess was friendly enough this time but when she turned us over to our waiter the night started going down hill. First off, we were seated next a staircase that had a lot of boxes and cleaning supplies under it. There was barely anything separating us from what could have been a janitors closet. The smell was with us for the duration. Second, the waiter acted like we inconvenienced him by having him serve us. He barely checked on us and took forever before he even troubled himself to come take our order. We finished our food and had to ask for the check. Here’s the crazy thing, it was not that busy. We should have asked for a better table. Our fault. The fact that the table was even there was shocking enough. As I said earlier, I have eaten there many times in the past and that was because La Hacienda became one of my favorite Mexican restaurants ever. The sad thing is that I/we have not been back because of the«first impression» that my fiancé had on her one and only visit. Had I been on Unilocal prior to my last dining experience, the reviews would have been stellar. Sadly, they fell short this time.

I’d like to give this place a better review because they have such a nice patio. But, really, this place needs a good clean up and makeover. The inside of the play structure is dirty and my kids are afraid to go inside it. The bathrooms are small, old and smelly! The inside of the restaurant needs some major TLC. I want our neighborhood restaurants to be their best and after many attempts to like this place I have decided that I will not return until they make these needed changes. Step it up La Hacienda!!! Cypress is counting on you!

The food was very delicious, but over priced. I’d go there again though.

Table for three please! I decided to be adventurous and order the Mole Enchiladas. I’ve never tried them before and never heard of them. It is chicken enchiladas topped with a sweet and spicy sauce. The sweetness comes from the chocolate(yes chocolate). I feel this dish has potential to be delicious. However, this particular restaurant wasn’t the place for me to try it. The rice was a bit hard and the beans were normal. On the bright side the chicken inside the enchillada tasted great. My daughter ordered shrimp wrapped in bacon and she loved it. The service is below average and could be much better. Maybe just a bad day. I won’t count this place out yet.

Best enchiladas I ever had! Wow, I love this place. We usually sit outside so the kids can Play on the playground. The staff is friendly and quick. We usually eat here on Sundays and it’s usually packed, but not too bad. They have extra parking in the back. So it is not anything to worry about. I have never had to wait for a table.

I used to love this place. We would go here all the time. At least once a week. Latley I have noticed different wait staff there. We went for lunch on Friday and paid with my credit card. Someone thier stole my credit card information or made a copy of it. My card was flagged layer that night w 600 dollars worth of fraudulent charges. I’m def not going back unless I pay cash.

The food was a 3.5 for me and the service was a 5. The guys worked their butt off to make sure drinks were filled and meals came out fast. Our party of 3 we seated quickly on a busy Saturday night. The food was just your standard Mexican food to me. I got the Tamale Verde. We ordered margaritas and they were pretty good, nothing to write home about though.

Not crowded. Sloooooow service. Cold food. Checks were wrong. When I say not crowded, I’m talking maybe 5 tables sat in the whole restaurant.

Awesome food and staff. We’ve been eating here for many years. In my opinion, they have the best Tamale’s. Not too much Masa, served with traditional beens and rice. I add fresh chopped Jalopeno peppers and chopped onion. They have a good selection of Mexican beer and a full bar, if you so desire. I like the red sauce t My wife and I come eat here once a month and are never disappointed. The wait staff is friendly and do a good job. hey serve. It has a nice chili flavor.

Love La Hacienda! This is one of a handful of Mexican food restaurants that we frequent. Unfortunately the kids area is filthy and very foul smelling, so our little one doesn’t get near it. But otherwise the food is great, service is great, you can get in and out of here quickly, or stay as long as you want. Fajitas are my favorite here.

Great food and great service Came here for our parents anniversary the staff was very accommodating for our large party. Food was on par with the service. The chicken Fajitas were probably the best I have had which being from Texas is a pretty tall order. Our waiter Levi was probably the friendliest person. He genuinely wants you to have a good experience and he certainly accomplished that tonight with is

My family has been coming to this locally-owned restaurant for almost 10 years! The inside is decorated to look like you are in Mexico and has a nice vibe. There’s two stories and outside seating with a play area for kids. Sometimes they have a live guitarist playing in the weekends. The service is really great and food generally comes out quickly. The portion sizes are not huge– they’re just right. The food is good, solid tex-Mex and you can count on it to be the same quality and taste every time. Some dishes could use a bit more flavor and spice. The biggest reason my family comes is because it’s vegetarian friendly and they don’t use lard in their beans.

I went for dinner the other night. I had eaten several years ago and decided to retry as I was in the area. The interior is large. two, levels of seating and festivally decorated. I ordered their chicken fajitas substituting charra beans for the refried beans on the menu. The chips and salsa(red and green) arrived. I liked the red salsa and gave the chips and salsa a 3.5. The fajitas showed up within 3 minutes of me ordering them which always makes me suspicious… I like the amount of chicken that came on the barely sizzling platter but was disappointed with the small amount of onions given. They were good but nothing more(3). Also the charra beans were no more than a 3 either. My service was very good(4). Overall, I can’t go any higher than a 3 for the entire meal. The best part of the meal was the attentive service and the spaciousness and interior attractiveness of the restaurant, I doubt I will return.
