Good. I’ve now given up on going to Juanita’s after the last trip and this is my new Tex-Mex joint. If you like cruchy tacos this place is the people.

Very shocked at my last visit. I have been coming to Romero’s weekly for several years, and the experience my family and I had last Sunday was deplorable to say the least. Although the manage was kind enough to compensate my meal, I ordered mixed fajita quesadillas, my order was wrong. Usually I am forgiving with server errors, but in this case my complaint was valid. We sat in the restaurant in an off time and were denied excellent service. Our drinks and chips stayed full, however it took nearly an hour for my family to order. What a shame. The bus boy and manager replacing our chips and drinks seemed to be more productive and helpful than our own waitress. The waitress was constantly on her phone and chatting with coworkers. This is not normal at this restaurant and I hope something can be done about it. This review is not out of malice, only for constructive criticism. Hopefully something positive can come from my feedback, however we will not be returning anytime soon. Ricos in Cypress has a better Mexican breakfast anyway. Better quality. I will not be recommending Pas Brazas for the sole fact of lazy service, even when business is slow. Although the food is good, I have definitely had much better. Go somewhere else.

My overall experience here was underwhelming. We weren’t greeted when we arrived so we just found out own seat, the lady that helped us bless her heart seemed over worked but my friend and I stayed anyway. Bad mistake food was mediocre, watery beans the best part about the meal was the water. We asked for our check which took the over worked girl about ten minutes to get back to us, when it arrived it was wrong. We explained we had gotten the lunch menu items and were over charged. She argued with us until I asked for the lunch menu to prove it. She then took it to the manager to «fix». After fifteen minutes of waiting my friend and I both got frustrated and just decided to pay the over charge and be sure to never recommend this place and that’s just what we will do.

Hands down the best place for Mexican breakfast, lunch or dinner in the Cypress area. Great food, excellent staff and awesome drinks. My favorites are their fajitas and migas. They also have a private dining room for parties. I recently had a family birthday celebration there and the food and service was more than I could have hoped for.

I had the huevos rancheros, my wife and Nana had a couple of breakfast tacos each. The food wasn’t bad. Service was something to be desired though. They wouldn’t bring us our mimosas until we had food in front of us(11:30 a.m. on a Sunday). When I pointed out that we had chips and salsa in front of us the server said that wasn’t food. I asked for the manager and he doubled down. When I pointed out that a person at the bar had a margarita with his chips and salsa the manager said he didn’t. The lack of knowledge on TABC law cost the business a second round of drinks(along with future brunch business from us) and the server 10%.

One of my favorite Mexican places in cypress! The mixed fajitas are always a great choice. The queso is about average, but still good! The service has always been way above average, and always very friendly! Worth giving a try for sure!

We went for breakfast on a Sunday. There was a steady flow of customers. I ordered the menudo and it was delicious! Their salsa was good, but spicy. Even the kids enjoyed the hotcakes. :)

I stumbled upon this place after making a wrong turn and decided to give it a try. The place was pretty packed so I sat at the bar. I was immediately greeted by a young lady behind the bar wearing an interesting blue ensemble with lots of ruffles. I arrived about 10 min. before happy hour was finished so I started with a large pomegranate margarita with a sugar rim. It took a few sips before the pomegranate flavor came to life but it was pretty good. Chips and red salsa were brought. The chips tasted slightly stale. The salsa was definitely homemade and had a spicy kick to it. Nothing too fancy that made me want to keep eating it other than being hungry. Lol. I was glancing at the menu and prices were a bit on the pricey side, compared to other Mexican restaurants. I wanted a small appetizer but nothing was under $ 7.99. I asked the lady for an a la carte beef fajita taco on a flour tortilla, which she quoted would be around $ 2.99. For one taco it took about 20 minutes to come out but it was actually really good. Those little beef-lets were so cute and seasoned to perfection! My bill came and was $ 11.99. Whoa! The«happy hour» drink was over $ 7. Crayyy! Overall, the customer service was great and it was a nice experience but I doubt I would return. Oh yeah, and restrooms were super clean — yes!

Stopped in due to a Mexican food craving. Wasn’t impressed at all. I felt the food was bland although the red sauce had a nice kick to it. Waiter did a great job of taking care of me. Just didn’t get an overall warm fuzzy about the place.

Food is decent, but I would not say great. I judge Mexican food by the basics: rice, beans, and queso. They are just okay here. The hard shell tacos are good, not great. Pricing is more expensive than it should be.

Nooooot impressed with this place. Had it a handful of times now and has only gone down hill. We ordered take out this last time and they forgot the tortillas(for fajitas!) and the beans. One of the other times there was a hair in two of our dishes and the other few times, the food was okay but nothing memorable.

I had a chicken faijita platter for one that was pretty dry. The flour tortillas were also super hard and stale tasting. The staff was friendly and the décor is nice. It is pretty close to my neighborhood, but I wouldn’t order that again.

This has been our go to breakfast spot for years! The huevos rancheros are awesome, their salsa is spot on! They have Chicharron in salsa verde tacos which I REALLY appreciate. The staff is nice and friendly although sometimes they are understaffed which leads to a bit of weight but the food is worth it!

I would give this place 3.5 stars. I love their food, but the service we have had the last couple of times has not been that great. I got the El Mero Mero last time we were there, which was delicious. The chicken was perfectly cooked, and I love anything that comes topped with cheese. My husband got the chimichanga, which he enjoyed quite a bit. When it comes to the service, the last few times we have been, the servers have not been attentive, have been slow to fill our drinks, and slow to take our orders. It just seems they go in the back and disappear, which is disappointing because it’s preventing me from wanting to go back. To sum it up, decent, quality food with declining service. Hopefully it will get better.

Food was pretty disappointing. My wife ordered the shrimp salad. It looked so sad with 5 shrimps for $ 11.99. The ranch dressing was the cheap kind, that you would not serve your own grand mother. Service was lacking too. I was not crazy about their Tex Mex enchiladas either. My wife told the server about our salad issue but nothing addressed by management. We have tried this location twice with no success, we will not be back.

went on a thursday because its half price margarita’s! we had the house margie on the rocks-no salt with a shot of grand marnier —sooo tasty… big 20 oz goblets… but, come end of the bill… we ended spending more than we thot…$ 5 each marg and $ 6 for each shot $ 11 for a drink — we kinda defeated our purpose, eh?!! i had chicken tacos al carbon — they were served as tacos — which was new for me. they were served on corn torts –[which i requested] –with melted cheese, grilled onions and grilled chicken – meh, they just didnt do it for me. all i could taste was corn and char-grill…just nothing special — wouldnt recommend [came with a side of rice & charro beans – average] friends had salsa, queso and chips — great combo dinner with chicken enchilada, rice, beans, 2 pc quesadilla, and quac — all really good great neighborhood restaurant

My family and I have being going to the original location off of Highway 6 for years — this location is closer, but it’s not out favorite — the restaurant itself is a bit dark and noisy to me compared to the original, but as far as the food goes, the quality remains the same. It’s fairly inexpensive, especially during happy hour(margaritas are super cheap and super delicious). My personal favorite is the Mr. Max — it’s kind of like a sampler, you get a chicken quesadilla, beef taco, and a tamale. Romero’s tamales are fairly unique when compared to other restaurants and are by far my absolute favorite I’ve ever had. As far as the service goes, we’ve never had a bad experience and the staff is very friendly.

Ladies and Gentlemen I want to introduce everyone to the only Mexican Restaurant I’ve ever seen that serves bacon wrapped shrimp stuffed with jalapenos and cheese using pickled diced jalapenos. Being a really good cook myself, I can’t even imagine why anyone would think this would be faster than just using regular sliced«raw» jalapenos. I warn anyone going here to not let any of the good reviews fool you. I found absolutely nothing tasty at this spot. But to make matters worst… not real beef. Yeah, pink slime strikes again. We ordered some Taco’s a Carbon just to see how the beef taste and they served us taco’s that looked almost like Taco Bell. What’s with all the American cheese? Oh I know, to hide the fact that it isn’t real beef. Sorry people, you can not pull fake beef on this research facility.(Area 51.) Must I continue? Yes I must. Let’s not forget the service. We may have had 4 different servers and only 1 of which could answer any question you had to ask about the food. And then you go through all of the servers trying to order something prepared your way and it still comes out completely foreign… a sure sign, that there is no chef here, but allot of food preppers and a really nice microwave. Now for those looking for a great Margarita. I can’t leave you out from this review. They have a really nice«looking» margarita. In this case, a picture is not worth a single word. You can find a better Margarita at of all places Apple-bee’s. I really don’t like giving 1 star reviews, but this place has worked very hard in earning just that. Eat Well and Prosper!
