Panera Bread

This Panera has been hit or miss as far as service and orders. I come here often for catering and personal meals. I had a horrific experience with one of the assistant managers during a catering order but addressed and resolved the issue a few days later after speaking to the GM. Rob, the GM and Courtney, who is typically in charge of catering are awesome. Ive never had service less than amazing with either of them. If they could instill their attitude and exceptional customer service in all of their employees, this location would be a 5 star.

First time dining here, should have read the reviews first. Came at 1pm and there was no line and the dining area was about half full. Pretty much every empty table was dirty, including the one we ending up sitting at. Dirty as is, no dishes but in need of a wipe down.
We each ordered the Chicken Poppy Seed salad which wasn’t bad but we found out that each was missing the pecans and the mandarin oranges. It seems like it is one of their signature dishes and it was missing TWO ingredients. We didn’t say anything because no one likes mandarin oranges, but the pecans would have been a welcome addition.
The only saving grace was the guy who brought our food. He was very polite and checked on us several times. Overall though, for $ 25 for two salads and one drink… meh, will not return. Can get the same thing at Chick-​Fil-​A for less money.

No matter the location, I love Panera because they stand behind their product. They have been striving to be transparent about nutrition and what is actually in their food and very aware of the dangers of preservatives and artificial sweeteners and flavorings.
This location, however, blows me away every time. The associates are kind and courteous with a smile on their face and I have yet to have any mistakes in my order.
Today while at lunch I had the pleasure of being on the receiving end of service by a man there named Brian. His tag said that he is an associate trainer. He was so enthusiastic and friendly. He was on top of getting the orders out, I waited, maybe 60 seconds after sitting down, to get my lunch and my friend’s was delivered shortly after. He gave us larger glasses of water and cleaned up our plates the moment they were empty.
I have never been disappointed with my experience here since moving to Cypress in November and you can bet that I will keep returning for superb healthy food and elite service.

I should have turned around and left before placing my order. The cashier was courteous, but the kitchen staff behind him were loud and unmannerly. I mentioned the yelling disturbance to the cashier and the wait staff twice, but continued to hear them in the farther corner from the prep area. I asked the wait staff why they had to be so loud and she replied simply, «I don’t know» and turned away. All the tables in my section were dirty and I had to ask to have one cleaned. The wait staff was courteous yet inattentive to customers once they delivered the food. They remained at the service window chatting. My thoughts were to give the place another try in a month or so, but after reading these reviews, obviously this was not a simple off-​night. I’m not headed back until I see a «New Management» sign out front.

The food and service are generally good on the weekend, but during the week when we order they seem to always be missing items in my order, be it drive thru or in the store. Better training is needed to ensure orders are correct.

The food is so so. I’ve had better food at other panera’s so I assume it’s the way they make it, since I’m pretty sure most of it is sent to them frozen. The service is either friendly or down right rude. Just hope you get a good day. I always ask for an apple instead of bread and almost always still end up with bread instead of the apple.

I don’t know what’s wrong with this location. I used to love to have my lunch or dinner at Panera Bread when I lived in Sugar Land. But, this location made me so upset!!! Paying about 10 bucks to get a «kale» Salad which is just a few kale leaves in it, I rather go to any other fast food restaurants to have a bowl of salad with satisfaction. Also, the baguette bread comes with the meal is just a two-​bit size. Can’t believe they are still called «Panera Bread»!!

My girlfriend and I had a great experience at this particular Panera! I would recommend this establishment to all my friends and family.

This location puts the other paneras to shame. Long wait, out of food items that are popular currently and unskilled employees. I love panera, but I hate this is the closest location. I won’t go to this location anymore. I’ll drive and hit up the next closest location.

I wish there was an option for 0 stars. We have given this location a few chances, but this past visit was the last straw. Their service is always terrible, and there never appears to be any manager/​supervisor in the store.
I always get the hibiscus tea at other locations. I took a big gulp because I was super thirsty, and had to cover my mouth to keep from vomiting. It tasted extremely old and rotten and smelled like mold. My husband tasted it and he had the same reaction.
We received our sandwich, chicken frontega, which is a pressed sandwich with shredded chicken inside. I’ve gotten it at another location and it was very good. This one, the chicken inside was ice cold and pinkish. My husband took it up and showed them, and their response was that they take the shredded pre-​cooked chicken straight from the freezer, and put it in the sandwich, and that’s how it’s supposed to look/​taste like.
They offered to take our sandwich back and reheat it instead of making something new. It was the type of staff you wouldn’t trust with your food especially after a complaint, so we declined. As my husband came back to the table, I saw them laughing and joking at the complaint.
Without going into detail, I’m now experiencing the after effects of the food.
Please don’t eat here until they get some type of management! The Panera at fm1960 is much better.

Poor service!!! Phone service was good! We called ahead of time to pick up our meals and they told me the food would be ready in 10 minutes. We were 20 minutes away and the food STILL was not ready! There were a bunch of young kids in there and working! The drive thru line was pretty busy too!!! Having a drive thru panera is pretty awesome but if they cannot keep up with the orders through the line or in the store then what is the point of the drive thru line?!? I hope it’s not like this all the time! It was a Friday night when I came and it was on route to where I was going. My sandwich was falling apart. One thing going for them is their chocolate croissant is Very good here!

Unreal went again today thru drivethru and order completely messed up when i got home. Finished with this location.

Much better experience this time for once. Nice people, food was timely, and they offered to help me to the car with the large sack I had.

We were in Houston this past weekend for a kid birthday party and had to drive back to Austin late in the day. My wife and I were hungry and did not want greasy food. As we were driving on 290 east we saw a Panera Bread with a drive thru. We went through the drive thru and ordered. As we waited at the window, I saw an employee DROP our Chicken for our chicken sandwich on the floor. He picked it up and finished making the sandwich with the same chicken! I told the drive thru cashier about the incident and he asked the employee about it but continued to bag our food and proceeded to give it to me. This place is disgusting! Never again!

Continually declined in service, cleanliness. and quality. Just visited foe the last time. Food did not even look palatable. Gross.

I only come here because of the drive thru. Can’t mess up a bagel and a Pepsi! I used to love the potato soup but now it’s never good twice in a row. Very inconsistent food.

I’ve tried to give this location a fair chance, but still not as good as Tomball location. The service here has been fair at best. Food has been ok. Today my husband bought me a blueberry bagel and it tastes day old n it’s not even that far into the day… on top of that we asked for toasted and it is barely toasted… come on people! I’ve been wanting this bagel all week n this is what I got?! I may have to stick to Tomball from now on… sorry cypress! :(

Not my favorite Panera and unless there’s no other option, I most likely won’t be back to this location.
My order: The chipotle chicken panini and cinnamon crunch bagel
The panini was lackluster and just not very good. The cheese was oddly hard for some reason. Really just not an enjoyable sandwich. My cinnamon crunch bagel, as always, was delicious and I highly recommend this item with a side of butter.
This panera is also quite loud. Maybe it’s due to the students back home for winter vacation but I found I could barely concentrate on the conversations I was having from all the noise.
The service people are friendly and the place is clean. Just not a very great Panera Bread over all.

Service was so terrible here and the employees don’t know which way is up.
Never coming back to this location. Ever.

Not sure why they have such bad reviews.
I love this place. The bread, pastries, and always hot coffee make it a great place.
Good speed wifi for a public connection. Diverse menu, and has some healthy stuff on there!
Why it’s not 5 stars is they can be stingy at times with the amount of meat they put on the half and half sandwiches, but I’ve always asked for more and they’ve given more without argument.
Overall a great place!
