Not going to blow you away aesthetically… but very chill! We had a baby reveal party on a late Saturday afternoon. There were approximately 20 – 25 of us.
Positives:
Abundance of seating — There are picnic tables outside in the front and out in back and indoor seating. Barstools at the bar and they even brought a table and stools out for us to sit next to the propane heaters.
Reasonably priced drinks — a large selection of beers. The owner even made coffee for our group!
Extremely spacious — you’re not sitting on top of the table next to you.
Plenty to do for kids and adults — They have a small indoor game room. They have playground equipment and again the owner brought out «cornhole» for us!
Live band — we danced a bit!
Negatives:
Food is less than desirable selection — limited to burgers and fried food, but it was decent tasting just not high quality.
Let me also add that I asked for water twice w/​no charge. Someone in my party ordered food and it didn’t come out, so he went and they made it right away. The first order of food eventually came out and they gave it to us for free!
Also, it wasn’t very crowded the whole time we were there. Maybe 3 – 5 other tables at any given time (outside seating in back).

Came to grab a bite to eat while listening to a friend play music tonight. We ordered burgers with Swiss cheese which came out with their version, being white American cheese! Burgers were not very hot, very dry from being pre-​cooked and quite flavorless. Also had to wait for our order to be corrected while the fries continued to get colder. Not impressed at all and would not return to eat here again.

Where has this place been? Really good food. Burger was excellent and the pulled pork was incredible. They have a bunch of different places to sit. Patios, picnic tables, or indoor. They have a good playground for the kids and a game room to keep them occupied. Decent selection of craft beer as well. We were also offered some fresh oranges from their orange tree to take home… no charge. In summary: Great service, great food, great kid stuff, great beer, great atmosphere for a good family restaurant outing.

Service was over the top! Ms Shelia sure does know how to take care of guests. It was windy and she brought all the kids spare gloves. Food was crazy good to boot. Definitely will be back.

Horrible food. The kitchen is under construction and everything is cooked in a roach coach behind the building. I have had better food from a vending machine.
I wish they had been forthcoming about the quality if food as I may not go back once the kitchen is completed.
All of the food is frozen and thrown into a frier.
$ 10.50 for a crappy chicken fried steak sandwich.
Horrible, horrible, horrible.

Went with the kids last week. We might as well have made a picnik basket and gone to the park, the food would have been better! The kids had burgers with cold greasy fries, and with the price, they should have been prime beef, but seemed to be frozen pattys. I had the chicken fried steak sandwich, it was horrible. The best part of the place is the play area for the kids, but next time we will pack a basket and head for the park!

Fantastic place. Plenty of seating outside, lots of shade, delicious food, cold beer, the owners are super nice, helpful and if there is a problem just ask and they will correct it. Well that’s all for now me and my wife are fixing to eat here now. Yummmm

After a long day at the baseball fields, we decided to try this restaurant.
My first visit to this «restaurant» was a disaster.
I have no plans to return based upon my conversation with the «owner», or should I say the «owner with a financial backer», as she put it.
We ordered our food, paid for it and I went back to the table.
I noticed that I was charged $ 0.50 per glass of water. I questioned one of the waitresses and was told that the manager, Sheila, started this against her financial backer’s (Don) wishes. They claim the cost of the cup and ice was the reason. No, I am not joking.
The prices are already high for the items offered on the menu. The below items are from their website. However, the day we were there, Saturday, 10−10−15, they had run out of food and only offered a limited menu.
With prices they charge, you would expect a good quality, fresh meal.
After 40 minutes of waiting, I approached a waitress who had been cooking gravy when we arrived and asked her to check on our food. She went back to the kitchen and brought us our food.
Every item on our order was cold… the burgers, fries, and mozzarella. The fried mushrooms never made it out. I asked the waitress to touch the items to feel how cold, she agreed they were cold. The waitress said she would get the manager.
The manager came and said she was going to go fire the cook.
She returned with the mushrooms and a basket of fries.
We had already eaten the cold burgers because my kids and family were starving.
The food was horrible!
The meat was a small patty, the bun was stale, the fries were cold and had an old grease taste. The mozzarella was cold and inedible.
She asked if we wanted new orders of food, we said no because we had to go get ready for an event that night.
The manager said she would be back to talk to me.
15 minutes later she never returned.
We started to leave and the waitress asked if I had spoken to the manager. I said no, she never came back
She asked me to wait. I waited. The manager finally passed by and I asked her if she needed to see me.
She asked what she could do to have me come back again. I told her that for starters, she should remove the food items from our bill. The bill was $ 75 for 5 meals!!!
She said she could not afford to do that. She said the best she could do would be to offer us a couple of beers. We did not order beer on the initial order. I declined and said I expected her to remove the food items from our bill, especially the ones we did not receive!
I told her that she was a poor example for her employees and as the owner I expected more.
I let her know that the $ 75 would not effect my life, she said it would effect hers.
This is unfortunate. This location is perfect for families to enjoy a relaxed meal. The sad thing is that they have an «owner» that obviously has no idea of what running a restaurant requires.
Hopefully her financial backer will realize this and buy her out/​replace her before the entire restaurant is gone.
It is my understanding that her reviews on the local community Facebook pages is more of the same.
I plan to have my credit card company dispute the charge. I will at least get financial remuneration for my 3 and ½ hours of complete incompetence.
In my opinion, if you are hungry and looking for a decent place to get a burger, drive the other way!

A nice weather outdoor kind of place. But the food needs improvement. While the burger was just ok the fries were very under cooked, since it took 45 minutes to get I was not going to return them. The pics in Unilocal show the fries with skins, maybe even fresh cut but these were just plain old frozen out of the bag type. Might try again if food reviews turn around but I paid way too much for the quality this time.

15 minutes to place an order with only 2 family’s ahead of me, 45 minutes to get the burgers, $ 40 for 2 adult meals and 1 kids meal. The burgers were nothing to right home about. I could have gone to HEB and bought the ingredients for $ 40 and made my own burgers and had enough for leftovers. I hate writing negative reviews but I was really unimpressed with this place which is sad because I’m always looking for restaurants with a playground!

We got here at 12:10 pm and it took 35 mins to get out burgers. It took another 15 mins to get our fries.
She told us the cook was waiting for the frier to heat up.
Oh my god, how could it not be turned in before you open your doors.

We are new to the area, but not to the food scene. The food and service here sucked. The only reason I’m giving this place one star is because the kids enjoyed the playground. We arrived around 5:45 during the week. There was a room that appeared to be an ice house off to one side with a pool table. Looks like a decent place to hang out sans kiddos. We go in and there’s no one to seat us or tell us what to do. So we grab a seat next to the playground, and walk back up to the counter. The girl running the register is struggling but she tells us she’s new so I shrug it off. We order, she gives us a buzzer, tells us it goes off when it’s ready and we can pick it up from the Taco truck? Ok so we sit and she eventually brings us drinks. We watch the kids play and then we wait. And wait. And wait. In the outdoor dinning, there was a small group of four and another group of seven or eight, and then us. Our food took nearly 30 minutes to come out, and the kicker? The kids food was cold, our entrees was fresh out the frier, while our tiny portions of fries were barely warn and very limp. With very few guests and being dinner time, there’s no reason for such long wait times and varying temperatures. By now our drinks are all melted and/​or finished and we are needing refills. We are unsure if someone is supposed to come since no one has come by the whole time. As I go up to get refills, I noticed the manager, and a waitress at the larger table, chatting with the guests, clearing off the table, and getting them refills. So either they’re getting special treatment, or we are not getting any service at all!
So for for the food, my chicken tenders and fries all taste straight out of the freezer. Kids burgers were burned, cheese burnt onto it and was crumbly. The kids had two different buns and one looked looked significantly fresher than the other. Hubby got the Parmesan sandwich basket and said he gives it a 3/​10, and said he wouldn’t pay for food like that again.
When our food finally came out, a group sat right next to us and five adults started chain smoking. Of all the tables available, they want to sit next to us. We are a family with small children, and right next to the playground where other kids we playing. I guess they didn’t care since they were smoking right in their daughter’s face.
At this point we cannot finish our meal and we bring our food up to the counter to pay and leave. I ask what’s their protocol on smoking, and all the manger said was there’s no smoking in the closed dining room and people hardly smoke anymore. She asked if it was the group next to where we were sitting. I said yes and all she said was, «oh».
No apology, no nothing. The cashier sees us carrying our food and asks if we need a to-​go box. Geez, thanks.
Food, terrible.
Service, non existent.
Playground was the only good thing going for it, but hey, my kids don’t pay the bills, we do. At minimum, we need better food than Mc Ds, food brought out in a timely matter, some decent service, and the ability to eat without being choked by others’ smoking. It’s 2015. If you still have a place that allows smoking, the least you can do is have a designated place for it. Gross.

The cheeseburger was awesome! So glad we found a kid, pet friendly fun outdoor place to go grab a great burger and let the kiddos play. Looking forward to coming for live music.

Great for the kids, TERRIBLE food. Beware, anyone on here saying things like «burger cooked to perfection», or «best burger in town» must be friends of the owners or work there.
My burger was inedible, looked like a hockey puck it was so burned, and the kids didn’t even want to eat their food, imagine how bad a grilled cheese has to be for the kids to not want to eat it. This place is only good if you need a beer.
Save yourself the trouble and go to The Shack.

Great food, atmosphere and service
Can not wait to go back. Great indoor and outdoor seating. Big playground for the kids. Family place. Or just a place to grab a cool drink.

This is a great place for kids! There is a huge play area and plenty of space to run.
They have the best burger in town. Full of flavor and more than enough for the price!
It’s mostly outdoor seating so you might want eat inside during lovebug season.

Summary– Mediocre food served out of a repurposed taco truck in a very open air place.
Food– 2.5 Stars
Acceptable but not stand out typical roadside burger place kinda food. Nothing stands out as great, but I also have not had anything nearly as bad as some of the reviews indicate. Stick to the very basics. I don’t think calling it the best burger in town is remotely realistic.
Atmosphere– 4 Stars
Cool kids playground. All outdoor seating (picnic benches)
Drinks– 3 Stars
Decent beer selection, but I think all they have is beer?

I gave this place another shot but, the food is the worst!!! Your better off ordering a pizza. No service and gas station quality food. We were covered in glued the whole time we were there. Very disappointing.

Went after church at 12:30 and we were the only people there. Red flag. They were out of menu items when only having less than 20 items on menu. We ordered a burger and it was burned so was bun, and cold and came with one pickle slice and one onion peice and just a few fries. To top it off, termites galore all over place we had to move inside. Staff was kind of rude. Won’t be back.

We had lunch here today and I was pleasantly surprised! The staff were friendly and the food was pretty good… not amazing.
What I really loved about this place is the playground and patio. It’s so nice to have options of places to sit out on a nice day and where the kids can play. A winner for us!
