I am writing this review about the Albertsons Supermarket on the corner of Easton and Northwest Highway. This is, without a doubt, the best Albertsons I have frequented, and perhaps the best supermarket in the DF-Dub. The store is clean, the selection is great, and, most importantly, the customer service is superb. We never enter this store without being greeted by several happy smiles and warm hellos. The best thing about Albertsons is the prices. One customer complained that Albertsons is priced too high. That is nonsense. Albertsons always has competitive sales and great prices for produce. What is more, Albertsons is the only local supermarket that still doubles and triples coupons. It is no longer cost-effective for us to shop at the now miserly Kroger: they only double one coupon and do not triple any; Tom Thumb has a similar policy. Albertsons is far more robust and useful. This is definitely a supermarket worth trying.

I like this store b/c I know the grocery business and they do an excellent job of offering product selection, at a great price, w/friendly employees, and clean well organized store. I was disappointed today to learn they don’t make the Marti Gras King Cake with a baby/coin/crown/bean in it. They bake it onsite, and put it in the special Marti Gras box, but Albertson’s central bakery doesn’t give them the added item to truly make it a King Cake… it might as well just be a cinnamon roll with purple/yellow/green sprinkles. Next time I’ll make it myself to be sure its an authentic King Cake.

I shop here occasionally for specials. Otherwise, I avoid it because prices are not competitive. I do not understand how they stay in business, but I do understand why their market share has fallen in the past 10 years. Clean store, good selection. Limited check out.
