Pros Stan’s Mardi Gras omelette w/shrimp, crawfish and and andouille and a tomato remoulade. I am a sucker for Cajun food and sopped up extra remoulade with a perfectly toasted English muffin Moderately priced — not the cheapest or the most expensive brunch I’ve ever had The kiddo loved the biscuits and gravy with andouille Crab cakes Carvallo eggs Benedict — great savory flavor Cons Occasionally a long wait but no worse than any other place for brunch

Most of the times when it’s a rainy day for some reason we crave hot pancakes and a good omelet, well this place has a good atmosphere and also good service, the servers are very attentive and polite. Now let’s talk about the food! I orer the«Hey lucy» Not the best omelet i ever had to be honest but not bad either, the home potatoes were very blend if they would’ve and some grill onions salt and pepper they would’ve been good in my opinion.

Great food, nice ambience, friendly staff. It’s a great place for brunch or a nice breakfast on the weekends. The eggs benedict and beignets are GREAT.

My favorite brunch place in Dallas. Very cozy and has a diner feel. Menu is extensive and brunch menu is fantastic. Coffee is ok. Service is wonderful, family owned business. I recommend the lakeshore scramble.

We were super excited to try this place(use the NoWait app when going anywhere in Dallas for breakfast/brunch), but the experience(driven by the food) was quite underwhelming. The +1 and I sampled the Waffle Sliders(not bad, nothing special), the Oscar Benedict(quite a bit weirder than I was expecting) and the Shrimp and Grits(not like any other Shrimp and Grits I’ve ever had). The Waffle Sliders and coffee were the best part of the meal. Unfortunately we weren’t offered brunch drinks(not sure if mimosas/real drinks are only served at the bar counter?), so can’t comment on the quality of that. The Oscar Benedict had a weird balsamic taste, I didn’t notice any crab(as stated in the description of the dish, unless I missed something), and the English muffin was a sopping mess from the moment the plate hit the table. The Shrimp and Grits was almost soup-like, and had tons of sauce. Not really what I was expecting, but the flavor was there, and this dish would’ve been good if I was in the mood for soup. At the end of the meal, we had half-eaten plates, and we realized that we should just go to Ellen’s, or iHop.

Terrible experience. We waited 45 minutes for our food. We ordered two coffees with 2 waters and she forgot the water. Waited another 10 for water. There was no sugar on the table for our coffee so we had to wait for that too. We ordered biscuits and gravy and pancakes. It was the oddest tasting breakfast. I can’t even explain it because I couldn’t figure out what the weird Spice was. The waitress didn’t bring syrup, so we waited another 10 for that. The syrup was basically water. I would never come back.

We love this breakfast/brunch place! I always order the eggs, thick sliced smoked bacon, grits(yes, I’m a southern girl who loves her grits!), accompanied with a fluffy pancake. What is so good is that it all arrives hot! Seriously. We always ask that our pancakes come after we have finished out other foods. Oh, and they actually have REAL Maple syrup. Yep, they do! There was a short wait on a Sunday at 11:15 of only 20 minutes. Well worth it, though. Our server was very helpful, polite, and accommodating. We never had to wait or hunt for him when we needed a refill. Treat yourself to a lovely outing after church, or on you way to the Arboretum.

We are here and told that 15 minutes wait. So we wait for 15 minutes and get a table. And keep wait for another 15 minutes until someone serve us. She took the order and then we wait another 15 minutes and the food is not ready yet. The price is too high compare to what we are getting … It is our first time to be here, probably no next time. We are still waiting and starving ! It is 10:57 and we enter the place at 10: 15. For breakfast, I would not recommend the places. More than 45 minutes wait for the breakfast is really too long …

I came in at 11:00 am on a Saturday and was told it would be a 10 minute wait, which turned into just 5 minutes so that started things off well. The service was nice but prompt, not too friendly or too rude so I was please by that. We got The Morning Glory muffin to split while we were waiting(a nicely heated house-take on a carrot cake muffin) and it came out quickly! I had the cinnamon roll french toast which was delicious, but personally I will order it next time without the fruit juices and cut fruit. I believe it would have been better with just the cinnamon roll french toast with the bananas fosters sauce and whipped cream. Still really good with it, I’m just not a big fruity breakfast person. My boyfriend got the Lobster and Brie omlette which he said was amazing and pleasantly different than the usual omlettes. We had a great meal within an hour and left very satisfied. I will definately be coming back thanks to the menu variety, ambiance, and service.

After learning that Barbec’s was cash only, we bolted for more CC friendly fare. We had often wondered about ‘A-B-Egg’ so we wandered in for breakfast — we loved it! Better than Barbec’s!Our table had a nice view of street traffic; big plus for our voyeuristic adventures. Quick, attentive waiters greeted us; and the food! I had an Omelette, and it was excellent! Just the right size, bursting with flavors. My potatoes and(separately ordered) side of grits were also great! My wife got the huge order of Hawaiian French Bread — inspired choice for her ‘bread-o-phile’ tastes! We will def return!!!

The fact that i can not order a mimosa at all and have to settle on the complimentary 1 drink is a bit ridiculous. Need that license people. After tasting gods food at Another broken egg in New Orleans, La i just knew that this was going to be the best thing that happened to me besides my morning piss. So I order the same food I did before cinnamon roll french toast and omelette with salmon and spinach. Omelette not bad but the cinnamon roll french toast should have been thrown at the chef. How dare you put syrup on my french toast. Then you have the audacity to put whip cream on there… is this Ihop no no no i had to walk outsode to check the sign. Recomendations: Service was great please do not change that… but please shut down for a month and go to new orleans and train. Oh and keyword liquor license.

We were excited to come back to the broken egg café, that a friend introduced us to on an earlier trip to Dallas. It was very difficult to find even through Unilocal, because they had another location that had closed that kept on coming up in our searches. Went to their website and click sound the locations map it said there were 0. However we realized we had to put in a zip code, and as an out of towner, had no idea what that zip code would be. Once we figure that out it show the one location on Buckner and here we are. The waiter was friendly, but too talkative. He did not refill coffee and in fact the table next to us all ordered drinks(bloody marys and mimosas and their food came first and they had to ask for them again.) He a pile of dirty dishes in the corner and we had to ask the busser who brought our meal for more coffee. The food was okay, but not amazing. We probably will not seek them out again.

We used to live in Dallas and would come here every couple months hoping that things would improve. Today was the final straw on that hope. First of all let me say we love the food. I mean who wouldn’t love a omelet with brie and lobster? But the service takes all the joy out of it. We came this afternoon and was seated without a large wait which was good. Once seated it took our server a good 5 minutes to greet us. I get it if you’re busy(which it didn’t look like you were) but at least acknowledge us by saying you’ll be with us in a minute as you pass by instead of us wondering where and who our server is. She eventually came and didn’t greet us or say her name. Okay, I guess you work here since you at least have a shirt on with the restaurant’s name on it. Drinks came and she set them on our 4 top table right in front of her and expected us to slide the drinks around instead of placing them in front of us one by one. Again, I get that if we are seated in a booth or have a large party, but that wasn’t the case here. It’s not that hard to put 4 glasses in front of each of us. At least I don’t think it is. We then ordered our food. I ordered pancakes and my husband ordered the lobster and brie omelet. We also ordered an appetizer to start off with since we were all pretty hungry. My husband and I always split the omelet and pancakes because pancakes are just a necessity for us when it comes to breakfast restaurants. The food came and once again her laziness seeped through. Instead of placing the plate on the table in front of us she handed the plates to us for us to put on the table ourselves. But everything looked great except wait a minute… where is our appetizer? We ask the server and she says she never put the order in and asked if we still wanted it. Ummm yes, we still want it. So we begin eating and enjoy our food because that’s the only good thing about this place. The appetizer eventually came and she failed to see our empty water and tea glasses so when she asked if we needed anything else I politely said we would like some refills when you get a chance. When I waited tables you never, ever wait to refill drinks. You just do it and try to not let their drinks get completely empty by the time you do get around to doing it. It’s just server 101 or at least it was back then. Once the meal was finished she did do a good job of clearing the table and bringing the check. She did just bring one check instead of splitting it up, but since we didn’t announce that at the beginning I’ll give her the benefit of the doubt. So to sum it up: food is great, but the service sucks. Get on your game Another Broken Egg. P.S: for a «café» you really need to invest in espresso cups. Big plastic water glasses just isn’t right.

Pretty good brunch joint. Staff is very friendly. I had the Bacquezo omelette, which was little greasy for me, but good none the less. Should have followed my hunches and order the French toast — the little old lady at the next table is enjoying them now…

Today was my first time at Another Broken Egg and I really want to like this I place. It is on the verge of being 4 stars, but it’s just not there yet. The food was decent, but there was a real problem with service and quality control on the food the day of our visit. Cons: waitress was new or something and couldn’t answer questions about the menu, service was mediocre; we had to seek out our refills on coffee and hot tea, bagel was served almost burnt, and food was not anywhere near hot when served. Pros: ample space and a short wait time to be seated even though it was Saturday morning, City Grits were really good, thought the décor and branded cups added some charm, plenty of parking, reasonable pricing, really good mimosas! All in all, I’d probably give this place another chance. It’s nice to have another option for a breakfast place. However, I really hope management realizes a few tweaks on quality of food and service would really make all the difference.

This was a new brunch spot for me and my crew. Definitely will return. The food was fresh and the presentation was nicely done. Menu was very interesting. I have the orange french toast and enjoyed it immensely.

I wish we had one of these in OKC. This place was sooo good. Everyone loves what they got. Biscuit Beignets –Bite size fried biscuits with powdered sugar & honey marmalade. Heaven in your mouth! Just try them… Granola, fruit and quinoa — Granola, blueberry quinoa, strawberries, blueberries and bananas coated in coconut served with coconut milk & drizzled with vanilla yogurt. This was so good I would definitely get this over and over. Very light, fresh and yummy. Chobani Tuile — Vanilla yogurt, blackberries, blueberries, strawberries in a crunchy bowl with fruit and honey. The crispy bowl is delicious. The Floridian — Cream cheese filled omelette topped with crabmeat, Monterey Jack & green onions. Served with an English muffin. The Supreme — Sausage, bacon, sautéed onions & mushrooms with Cheddar-Jack. Served with an English muffin.
