Why must you visit Black Swan? Gabe. Hands down best bartender is dallas. The infusions are awesome and it’s a quiet little bar with a cool patio. The service is always amazing and the cocktails never disappoint.

Always love this place!!! I love how it is kinda hidden. It adds a mystique. The cocktails are always INCREDIBLE!!! I like how its a little more quiet and intimate in the early evening but really gets going after 11. My favorite is the peach bourbon in the summertime. Staff is always fun and welcoming. Some bars in deep ellum can be intimidating. Sometimes bartenders give you the stink eye if youre not a regular.

Cool place. Honestly wouldn’t know it existed if there wasn’t a bouncer outside the front door. It’s a small quite place with a patio in the back and they make their own fruit infused Vodka which is very good.

If I came back to visit Dallas, this is the one place I’d for sure stop at again. Every town needs a bar like this with bartenders that are this insanely skilled. They made me some of the best cocktails I’ve ever had, just from me telling them what flavors I liked. It can be tough to get into and of find, but it’s so worth it. This was my favorite part of my Dallas trip, seriously.

Their infused vodkas are soo good. I had pineapple but trust any flavor would kick ass. The atmosphere is intimate and low-key. The service is friendly and excellent — my bartender shook my hand after I paid!

True speakeasy style bar. Unmarked, half-empty, totally hipster and probably way too cool for me :) They make drinks customized for you just based on what you like! And good mojitos. Love love love.

I love love this place for their amazing bartenders and delicious drinks! What makes them stand out in a sea of bars in the DE? Their infused vodka!!! Just simply tell any of the cute bartenders which flavor you prefer and they would whip up some magic and deliver to you one of the best drinks you would ever have. Or tell them to surprise you with either vodka, rum, whiskey, tequila, whatever the case might be, and you will not be disappointed ;) They do have a little outdoor seating in the back, make sure to check it out!

The more I go here the more it deserves a 5 star! Its a great place to talk. Music got a little louder as evening went on but not much. Bathrooms are spotlessly cleaned. Great first date, second date or whatever bar! Great meet up place. The strawberry infused Moscow mule incredible. Gabe is so classy and all the employees are 100% sober and execute flawlessly.

I was so confused when my friend said this was where we were walking in. It literally looks like nothing from the outside. I was so wrong. The drinks here are unbelievable! Gabe and his staff are calm, cool and collected even when there are a million people asking for elaborate hand crafted cocktails. Everything I tried was fantastic, from something called«spicy pineapple» to «that watermelon thing». I wish I had the actual names for the drinks I had, but I guarantee there’s nothing bad at Black Swan.

This is a small intimate bar with a back patio. It can be a bit hard to find if you aren’t looking for it, as there is no sign. They craft some pretty cool and unique cocktails with infused liquors. You can tell them the flavor profiles that you like and they will make something for you. I had some sort of strawberry basil cocktail that was delicious. The drinks aren’t huge though, and are a bit pricey(~$ 10).

Amazing! Not enough can be said to justify the greatness that Gabe and company bring to each and every glass, always welcoming with a smile and a quip here and there, will always return for an original cocktail from the big d master.

The Black Swan has a plain, brick façade with black trim and tinted windows, and it does without any signs, so it might be difficult to find if you’re relying on finding its name spelled out on a business sign, but that’s alright because once you find it, you’ll be glad that you did. The lighting is dim. The place itself is small, but comfortable. The selection of booze is plenty. Dillon was our bartender for the night. He was very courteous and welcoming; To put it short, if I had a bar, I would hire him. Though they choose not to have drink menus, that’s perfectly fine because Dillon makes awesome drinks. They start you off by asking what your favorite type of alcohol is. I’m a whiskey drinker, so he asked if I preferred a refreshing or bold type of drink. And the final question was: citrus or peach? I opted for the refreshing type and tried both the citrus and peach concoctions. Man, they were really good. So good I was afraid to keep on drinking when I knew I had to cut my self off at a certain point. We enjoyed our time there, and we had the pleasure of chatting with the owner, Gabe, who was really cool and down to earth. It wasn’t too busy during our conversation, but he took the time to ask a little about us and what we thought about the DFW metro. He even gave us a Cliff Notes version on the history of Deep Ellum, which is pretty interesting. Gabe and Dillon made us feel comfortable and welcomed. I would have definitely liked to stay a little longer. I don’t live anywhere near Deep Ellum or downtown, but I will definitely return to the Black Swan Saloon. These guys know what they’re doing.

If you’re looking for unique and schmancy drinks, this is your spot. It’s small, but not packed; they stick to some kind of capacity limit. Sometimes they make you wait outside, but it’s not a strict one-in-one-out policy The bartenders are pretty talented. I had a mint julep, it was well made. My more adventurous friend asked for«something spicy with gin» and the bartender had no problem whipping him up something creative and far too spicy for my tastes. This is somewhere I would go to nurse a drink(or after hitting up a different bar to start the night) because the drinks are definitely on the expensive side

Cool spot in the heart of deep ellum. You are there more for the good drinks not necessarily the interior decoration, but if you are looking for awesome infused liquor, this is the place you want to visit. I had the peach infused bourbon on rocks and a watermelon infused vodka with basil, both were perfect for a hot Dallas summer. I’ll definitely go back to try out all the other drinks they’ve got there

Couldn’t have had a better experience. Our first mixologist made us truly amazing drinks. There did not seem to be a drink menu and clearly did not need one. Just tell the bartender what you like and they will mix up the perfect drink you didn’t know you wanted. While we enjoyed our drinks, we took in the sweet décor. Dirty Harry watched us from above the bar:) Gabe, the owner, made us our second delicious concoction. Besides making me a drink that I absolutely loved, he took the time to tell me other wonderful places to go while we were in town. This place is a class act and is a real gem. One of the best bars I have had the pleasure of visiting.

So you want a properly made cocktail? Then skip all other bars and head straight to the Black Swan. If you’re lucky, Gabe will be manning the bar and will personally make your cocktail. The saloon itself is right in the heart of Deep Ellum, but is very discreet. I almost walked right by the entrance. I love the fact that you kinda have to know about it. We made our way inside around 11pm on a Sat night. Good crowd, but not crazy crowded. By the time we finished our cocktail there was a line waiting to get inside. I really appreciate the fact that they keep the crowd manageable. They could easily open the doors and create a mob scene. Instead they monitor the flow so inside you have a pleasant experience and don’t have to elbow your way to the bar. As for my drink of choice. I asked for a Basil Hayden whiskey sour. You can tell a good mixologist by how they make this cocktail. He did not opt for the cheap sour mix. He property made it with egg whites and all the correct ingredients. Even served it in the proper glass. One of the best cocktails I’ve ever had. Can’t wait to return and try another creation. Hats off to Gabe. This place is a class act in Dallas.

Gabe is awesome. This place is the best cocktail bar in DFW. When I want to hide out and not deal with all the pretentiousness of Dallas, Deep Ellum is always my hiding spot. The patio is chill, the drinks are more than industry exceptional, and yeah parking might be quirky bc you are in DE, but it is so worth a cruise over. Especially during the week. And it is walking distance from the future husbands dining establishment. Makes me happy.

First off, this place is hard to find as other reviewers say. We started walking the wrong way down the street then had to check the address. I believe there’s just a small black door. It’s also much smaller than I thought. That’s not a bad thing. It’s just the one bar, which is a decent size. This place is all about the cocktails. They have fruit infused vodka and whiskey — several types behind the bar. Dylan made us several drinks. I have no idea what they were but they were amazing! We told him what we like(ie whiskey, light, refreshing or vodka, sweet, fruity) and he worked up some magic. And they serve them in cute mason jars which just makes everything better. My advice: go here and let the bartenders make you something new and different. Now I totally understand how you can end up staying here all night.

Black Swan Saloon is an interesting place. The bar has a good atmosphere and is a bit of a chance of pace from the rest of Deep Ellum. It’s a good stop-off point when you want a different vibe at some point in your night. The interior consists of a long single bar with a patio and small stage up front. The design is interesting, because the bar dominates the space and there is less seating than you might think. If you want a lot of seating, this is probably not the place to you, but the plus side is that there is ample standing room when the bar is crowded. I like the layout, but the stage at the front has a Pac Man game that seems out of place. The service is good and the drinks are tasty. I believe that the head bartender is the owner, but I’m not sure. The night we were there, they were very busy but the staff did a good job serving everyone pretty quickly. I like the glassware, too. I had heard that the infused drinks were good, but they were a little lacking in my opinion. Maybe it was just a mediocre batch. The staff seemed a little stressed, too. The place was clean and nice, but it seemed like it might be a little understaffed, or that the staff was trying to take on a little too much. I don’t know, it’s hard to explain, but that was the vibe I got. I hope this place does well.

Black Swan is everything Deep Ellum represents. It’s not some kind of cookie cutter, suburban bar that is duplicated on every other corner. Black Swan is unique. Great part about the Black Swan is the size. If you’re not careful, you will walk right past the door, as I do all the time; especially if you’re involved in a friendly conversation with friends. It’s quaint, charming and cozy. There is a peaceful patio out back, which is great at night when the weather is nice. Black Swan is the type of place where you should try a beverage that is totally different from your normal habits. It’s unique from your choice of fused Vodkas & Bourbons. It’s unique with it’s mixture of clientele that’s there on a normal night. On any given night, Gabe will tempt your palate with fresh tasting beverage and that’s just for starters. The great part is the ability to make a drink, maintain a chill atmosphere without the vinegar sauciness of some of the pretentious dude-bro douchery spots that you would normally expect from a place of this magnitude. Black Swan is beverages only. Don’t come expecting dinner or snacks. Just get here and relax. The good times will naturally follow. Keep in mind this is Deep Ellum. So your parking challenges will be the same for Black Swan as it is for any other place in the area. I recommend finding a park, catch a Über. walk and enjoy the neighborhood.
