Nice place. They location my look like this place has no business being here but don’t be fooled. Really classy and dark atmosphere. Met some friends there for an evening of wine and relaxation. I’m glad it was byob because they had no Texas wines at that time so I brought my own. I like having options when it comes to going to wine bars but I’m finding it very difficult to be a regular at a wine bar that does not have any Texas wine. You want my business? Promote Texas wines is all I ask too not just everything else but Texas. At least that was our experience when we visited. It hadn’t been open very long from what I understand so maybe that was part of the reason why their selection was limited to what they did have. I don’t want to be a snob about this but come on, you’re local promote local so to speak. There’s plenty of good Texas wine out there, & I know because I’m member of three wineries in Texas. Perhaps it has to do more over the cost of the wine in Texas over California but Texas makes good stuff too. Maybe there could be some middle ground pricing between the winery and the wine bar to make it cost effective I guess. So by all means check it out. It’s been 10 months since I’ve been there so I think it deserves another visit to see you anything has changed.

Love this! Need a good spot for a date? This will do it! Dark, music playing, and you can do flights of categories of wine so you can try four different ones. I even left with a bottle of the one I loved. Owner knows his stuff and will help educate you if you don’t know anything(like me). Great, cozy spot!

Went there last night. Not busy and service was sooooo slow we ended up going to the pub/growler place down the street. Great ambiance, though. Would be great to see their service improve and see the place survivors.

Best hidden gem in Lakewood. Tremendously knowledgeable and friendly owner and staff. Fantastic wine by the glass options(from Opus One on down) to a unique and thoughtful bottle list that is very reasonably priced. The fact that this spot is in a strip mall should not keep you away. Inside is a wonderful respite from the rest of Dallas. As an added bonus, you can grab dinner at Taco Joint/Ginger Thai/Lovers and bring it in and enjoy some fabulous wines.

There’s more than meets the eye at Bodega! I was looking for a cozy wine bar to unwind with my girlfriends and decided to give Bodega a try. It’s not the most appealing from the outside– just another addition to a strip of stores. This is an older area. However, when you walk in, the atmosphere shifts immediately with dim lovjting. They’ve got comfy couches, regular seating as well as tall chairs for you to choose between. The attire was casual to nice. Their menu is clear and concise, which I appreciate. Wine is sectioned off first by flight prices followed by the selections they offer. We chose to go with the sparkling flight. Out waitress was good with explaining our flight. The glasses are numbered at the bottom so we knew which asterisk corresponded with which taste. We had ordered one flight to start with. Our waitress was a little confused and thought we ordered one flight per person rather than to share, saying she heard«3» and it was a bit awkward since we didn’t. We ended up just tasting only the sparkling flight. Regardless of this miscommunication, I had a great time and will be back to try more flights!

The sommelier Kelsey is a beautiful tour guide to an amazing experience! Tell her what you like and she will take you on an amazing flight! The selection is enormous and well chosen! Date night or a business lunch or dinner this intimate place makes you feel like your in a wine cellar, without skimping on a little elegance with that Dallas flair! i can’t leave out the very appropriate and yummy food menu that compliments your flight! Come here you won’t be disappointed!

Love this place! Cozy, romantic, great wine and a perfect place to finish off date night or have a girls night with friends. Don’t let the outside fool you and go check it out. Lots of flights to choose from if your unsure what you like.

I love me some wine bars. I love me some wine bars that have flights so I can try out a few before indulging in a full glass or calling it a night. Luckily for me and everyone else, Bodega has both a vast selection of wines and wine flights. It’s also just down the street from me so even better! A friend and I both got wine flights and despite them being flights, I found that the pours were pretty generous. I’m also a light weight so take my words with a grain of salt. The staff was extremely knowledgeable and also very attentive. They were prompt to ask how we were doing, provide waters, and clear our glasses when we were done. The atmosphere is very intimate and romantic with enough seating for quite a few people. The décor is dark, rustic, and warm. This is perfect for a date night with your significant other or even just a girls’ night out. P. S. Bodega is right behind a TCBY so think of all the possibilities after you’ve had a few glasses… I’m just kidding(kind of). Bodega also has a food menu that I have had yet the chance to indulge in.

This a great addition to the neighborhood. The staff is knowledgable and friendly and they have a great wine selection. It decorated like a wine cellar and it’s a super spot to escape the sun and heat. On my way to becoming a regular. The owner told us he wanted it to feel like an extension of someone’s own living room. Mission accomplished.

This is definitely great cozy place to take a date or just lounge with a group of friends. From the atmosphere, the service, and great tasting wines I was beyond impressed. Didn’t think we had anything like this in Dallas.

This is a quaint little spot with lovely rustic décor and fantastic service. From the outside, it doesn’t look like a great place to stop, but from the inside you will forget you are even in Dallas. It’s low lit and has a wine cellar feel. The waiters were very knowledgeable and great with splitting checks. They were eager to help a larger group and make it a special evening for my friends. They had a good array of wine choices from high end to affordable. They also allow you to bring in your own bottle and just enjoy the environment($ 10 fee for bringing your own). They have several flight options built so that you can explore your palate or you can grab a glass or a bottle. I would gladly go back to the little spot and enjoy some good wine with friends.

Loved this place in uptown(in the younger years) and its still great. Fair prices, not pretentious, knowledgeable staff. Excited for Lakewood to get a gem like this! Rec: great light pinot nior, Tyler Cheese board: triple cream brie, smoked gouda and point reyes blue.

Very enjoyable. Good wines and friendly staff. The cheese board and the bruschetta we had were really good. The wine flights are a great way to try new things. Comfortable and inviting neighborhood spot. This was our first time, but we’ll definitely be back again. Hope to see you there!

I was so pleasantly surprised to find this little gem in my Lakewood neighborhood. Nice selection, their wine flights are fun, and since they have an extremely limited food selection, it’s nice they let you order from the neighboring restaurants. Very fun! Nice last minute surprise!

Great neighborhood wine bar! They’ve spent a lot of energy building a nice atmosphere and unique wine list. Waitstaff knew their wines, too.

Wine! This place has wine! Squeee! Bodega is a great little wine bar in the getting-cooler-by-the-moment shopping center on the south east corner of Mockingbird and Abrams. This is apparently the same wine bar as the one that was in Travis Walk(that I never really frequented but I heard anecdotally was great…). Prices were fair but I wouldn’t say there are any deals to be had. I had one of the white flights and then had another glass of wine. ½ a cheese plate later, my bill was $ 36. Not bad considering what I had… but still, not a cheap HH by any means. The ambiance was dark and comfy, lots of tall tables, short tables and couches too. There’s a long bar also, if you’re the belly up type. They have special tastings too on the last Saturday of the month that look fun and like they are a great deal! Lezzz go!

I am beyond excited to have Bodega move to my part of town. I knew they were moving, but when I heard they were open I had to get there! It’s so cozy and quiet… which I love in a wine bar. I had a flight of Big Reds for $ 17, which I feel is super fair. One of my favorite wines, The Prisoner, they had for $ 14/glass, and a bottle retails anywhere from $ 36 to $ 40…so again, pretty fair. One super cool thing to note… you can bring in your own food, just like Lakewood Growler… and you can bring your growler in as well if you are not a wine person, but those you are with are… they’ll put it in the fridge for you. So nice! They have a wine fair last Saturday of each month from 2pm-5pm where you can try 20 wines for $ 25…can’t wait! I see myself becoming a regular here… which could be good… could be bad… all depends on your perspective!

Cute, cozy place with sofas and fire places. Great for after a dinner date, but you can bring food in, too. Great wine selection and friendly staff. The owner recommended several delicious wines, like an amazingly smooth Emilio Moro, and they do tastings too. They just opened in this location, but had an amazing selection. Looking forward to trying some new ones next time.
