Paid $ 17 for the Lump Crab Roll and was highly disappointed. The crab had a day old smell and tasted like it had been coated in an entire bottle of salt. I had a least three glasses of water to wash away the first bite, which were hard to come by because the server was MIA. Spent the remainder of the night sitting under an AC unit that was dripping water from the ceiling. Needless to say it was a terrible experience and an immense waste of time and money.

Great food– ordered ribs, fried chicken, salad, and flat bread. Not sure why this is a 3.5 star! People need to give this a shot– you won’t be disappointed.

My wife and I stopped by for some drinks after our dinner and was blown away by how much fun we had. Bartenders were so friendly and helpful. One of the best bar experiences I’ve had on Greenville and I’m a big fan of that area. So this review is just over their drink menu, although we’d love to stop back by to try their food. Initially I was in the mood to try a beer and my wife was looking for a wine. A very solid local craft beer selection. The bartender wanted to make sure and get my wife a wine that she would enjoy and he succeeded. Where this place really stands out though is their specialty cocktail list. We had 3 drinks from their menu and a few others that they recommended based on our individual tastes. Every patron in the bar area was asked what they enjoyed and they tried to accommodate that with a personalized cocktail. We will be back for sure and bringing friends and family.

Ohhh kkkkkkk um the sticky toffee pudding is a must, it’s thick like cake but gooey like love me! and make sure you add a glass of «Trio» Cab. The smelly sewer stank hits ur snaze the moment u walk in(lingers thru out entire restaurant) so id recommend sitting outside of you can handle the humidity.

I have been here a few times. This time both the food and the service seemed lacking from my first visits, which were both amazing. Everyone at our tables food was okay, but presentation was definitely poor and fruit was throw on each plate in a cafeteria-esque way. The drinks were also subpar. Sad, really loved the first time about a year ago.

Came here for the first time tonight… I want to write this first since I usually skim through these, my smoked fried chicken for $ 20 was completely raw, see my pic. I’m not talking pinkish I’m talking gooey raw. I completely lost my appetite. It took about 10 minutes for our waitress to come over and ask how our food was which working in the food and restaurant business my timeline is 1 – 3 minutes to return to a table. So we sat there awkwardly waiting. The manager came over apologized, whatever. We still had to pay for the side of spinach which we didn’t eat because we lost our appetite. The overall energy was stuffy and disorganized and we’re all good for some expensive delicious food and a romantic date night but this felt like a new restaurant that was unorganized and didn’t know what they were doing. Overall experience sucked, awkward energy, slow unsatisfying service, and raw food. For that kind of money there is much more down the street. Oh ya! My fiancé wanted a beer but it would’ve been $ 8, come on.

Great place. Sat at the bar and received stellar service, great specialty cocktails geared to our specific tastes, and solid food all around. We shared the peppered brisket(nice balance of fat to beef), saltine crusted oysters(perfect, not overcooked or rubbery), smoked fried chicken (decadent), and a vegan platter(tasty and light). Low maintenance, easygoing spot. This was our second time here and we plan to return.

Updated Sorry for the bad review it was kind of you to respond. I appreciate it tremendously. I will say we did get the fried chicken and it was really good. I also told a few Co workers and they have made reservations for Valentine’s Day. I will take the prior review down and come try you guys out again. Again thanks for your kindness and best wishes to you.

reasonable bottle prices for their wine and the plates are easily shared between people. I would like to come back for brunch because of the reviews I have read. Dinner was great though and the place was dead, so the wait for our food was not long at all. We ordered the cheese plate and truffle fires, which curbed our hunger. The cheese plate had a soft cheese with green apples; a blue cheese with honey comb; and a harder cheese with almonds. Each of the three were good enough to eat on their own. The crackers they served with the cheese board were perfect. We really wanted the duck risotto, but found out they were out of duck ;(it was subbed with pork, but I found the pork belly too fatty. The actual risotto was amazing though, I highly recommend that dish. The mac and cheese is amazing too. I would come back here for sure.

Great place for dinner and HH but for brunch it’s just ok. Brunch menu is a little limited(less than 10 brunch dishes). But they have pizzas, sandwiches and burgers etc. So if you’re looking for your everyday«all American» breakfasts, maybe try some where else? Now let’s talk dinner. Love love love this place for dinner! Meat and cheese plates are on point! Lobster and shrimp is delicious! Roasted beets was my personal fave though! Last but not least, drinks! Texas shandy, pink lemonade, watermelon mojito, and mule are all winners!

We had a Saturday night reservation at Clark Food & Wine and arrived about 20 minutes early. The hostess conveyed that our table wasn’t ready yet, which we were totally fine with, so we got two seats at the bar. Since we were able to sit at the bar, we decided to just order dinner there. The bar is a nice size and fits about 10 people. It’s not a big restaurant at all, but I like the small and intimate setting it possessed. Even though it’s a small restaurant, it still had an exciting character to it. The bar could use more of a ledge for comfort. Other than that, we had a good time at the bar with very attentive service. I ordered a glass of red wine and the Crab Salad. The meal came with a hefty amount of crab, which I was surprised to see, but thankful to have. The problem with the dish was that there wasn’t enough arugula for it to be called a «salad». It was a lot of crab, very little arugula, and a lot of dressing. Even though the dressing was extremely flavorful, it was too much. The crab was drenched in the dressing and it took away from the crab itself. I love a good dressing to compliment a salad, but I also appreciate everything on a plate and want my palate to experience all of the flavors. Aside from that, I still really enjoyed the dish and would definitely order it again with a special request of more arugula and less dressing. The avocado and that carrot blend went very well with the crab. I do recommend ordering a side or an appetizer with this salad, as I don’t think the portion size would be enough to fill anyone up. Or, at least it didn’t fill me up. Overall, I thought the atmosphere was relaxed, yet modish and the service was good. I enjoyed my meal and wine, which brings me to looking forward to dining here again!

Went here with my sister for restaurant week. The service started off okay. I ordered my three items, then a drink, and then the waiter just left. My sister was left with a menu so we thought he would return to take her order. When we finally flagged him down and said she wanted to order, he just gave us a blank stare and said he assumed we were sharing. If that was the case, why did he leave a menu? I understand this is a small restaurant, but the tables are very close together. The table behind us was so close to me that every time the waiter popped by, his butt was touching my head. This happened more than twice. My egg salad was superb, but the bolognese was a tad on the mediocre side. Nothing quite tastes like the bolognese from Ciao Bello in Houston. Trust me, I’ve tried quite a few. Probably won’t be returning.

So happy to stumble upon Clark Food & Wine last Friday. My friend and I caught dinner on Greenville Avenue and weren’t ready to go home just yet. We opted for an after-dinner glass of white wine and prosecco to continue our conversation and catch a table outside/people watch off of Greenville Ave. Our sever was wonderful and kept us well-informed about the menu. He eventually convinced us to try their charcuterie if we wanted to munch on something light. We obliged and it was a great choice. Sweet honey spread, a variety of brie, blue cheese and other cheeses. So good! Perhaps the most interesting was that they have a huge selection of wine on tap as well as by the bottle. Surprisingly, I really liked the draft wine. Fresh, it was as if they opened a fresh bottle of wine with each pour I told. I can’t wait to check out this place again for a date night. It’s a grown and sexy option compared to some of the louder, more crowded bar and dining options in the area. Add in hospitable service, other beverage options for the non-wine drinker and an an excellent food menu and you’re set.

So I arrived at Clark Food and Wine around 9:00 on a Friday night. They told us it would be about 30 minutes but then they seated us within 5 minutes(confusing!). After being seated it took the waitress about 10 minutes to come greet us or pour water. After that, our waitress was fairly attentive and gave me a great drink suggestion. I started with the pink lemonade and it was pretty delicious! We ordered four different things and we split everything. We had the Texas chopper(a salad with brisket and avocado, and more!), pork Mac and cheese(by far my favorite!), BTC flatbread that had bacon, avocado, and cheese, and finally we had the herb fries. All of the food was pretty good and it was fun to split a bunch of different foods instead of having to stick with one thing! The three stars comes from the service and also the prices. We weren’t very pleased with the price of each item. Seems a little overpriced. I ended dinner with one of their red wines on draft… Needless to say, I left a happy camper :)

First visit and we were very impressed! Quality food, great service and a warm, welcoming environment. Since my husband and I normally share plates, the family style setup was great for us. We had ½ lb of brisket and ½ lb of redfish, plus spinach and Mac-and-Cheese. Everything was deliciously prepared and very fresh. The crust on the brisket was incredible(and this is from someone who virtually stopped eating beef). The meats come out on large cutting boards so you can take as much or as little as you want. Priced very reasonably for the level of quality. Great cocktails and wine list, too. We will definitely be back to try more of this menu!

I MUST give Clark Food and Wine a 5 star review. To be honest, our first visit was not the experience I expected given the recommendations I received. I ended up contacting the company through their e-mail and obtained an immediate response from them. It was handled with the upmost professionalism and in a timely manner. We were invited back and assured that our first experience was not representative of their standards; therefore, we decided to go back. Second visit: Our second visit was AMAZING. We had an incredible evening and experience. Our server was top tier, our entrees were delicious, the drinks were superb, and the dessert was a delightful conclusion. The Brisket, Wild Gulf Shrimp, and 3 Chees Mashed Potatoes all 5STARS. Also tried the Blackberry Rye Smash, which was very well balanced and incredibly smooth(5STARS). The only thing I can’t rave about was the flatbread«Q» pizza(3.5STARS). It was alright/good, but that is when compared to everything else. The toppings worked well together, but seemed a bit limited throughout the entire pizza. Overall it was an awesome night out! Thanks Clark Food and Wine! We will be back soon and are very excited to try the other menu items. If you are in the mood for great tapas style food or only wanting a well prepared cocktail made with fresh ingredients, then I recommend visiting.

Underwhelmed. Started with the Gin Saison, but thought it tasted like moth balls.(I should know better than to order a gin cocktail in the first place.) To be fair, the waiter did take it off the check without my having to ask. The Goat Cheese Stuffed Peppadew Peppers and Roasted Beets were the best plates I tried. If only I’d stopped there. I felt my Veg Flatbread was a total ‘misfire of blah’ as was my friend’s White Flatbread. My other friend ordered a big plate of meat, which is not something I eat, so I can’t tell you if it was good or not. She seemed to like it okay. The wine list didn’t have a lot of ‘by the glass’ selections to choose from. It also seemed heavily tilted towards Europe and South America. Not necessarily a bad thing, just an observation from someone who loves her California wines. Sue me. My final complaint– the overall music vibe. When we first sat down, not only was Kid Rock’s version of Sweet Home Alabama playing, it was blaring. No. Just … No. Unfortunately, Clark Food & Wine Co. is not a spot I care to re-visit.

Wine bar? Huh? I don’t think you can call a place a wine bar if you only have three cabs. One was an inexpensive spanish wine and there were two others to choose from. To be fair, the mid-priced Cedar Knoll Vineyard was delicious. The food was fine. Our waitress did forget one of our items but we just placed another order. We tried the crab salad, shrimp, meatballs, avocado toasts, brisket, BTC flatbread, and bone marrow. While the bone marrow flavors were the bomb, it was literally like two teaspoons of air. Best dessert was the brownie, followed by the toffee pudding. I can’t gripe about the desserts and they are why this review gets a 3 instead of a 2. And only one bathroom. #$@&%*! At least make the men’s room unisex so we don’t have to wait in a line for the love of God!!!

Great service and good food [Tapas style]! We honestly only ended up here because we couldn’t find parking and they offered $ 5 valet service, we didn’t have any expectations but enjoyed it very much! Service– we were greeted right away, drinks and food came out promptly, cups stayed full Food, we ordered the below: 6 packs– Brisket Meatballs, Balsamic Glaze, Blue Cheese– they literally mean it comes in 6 when they say«6 packs», these weren’t my faves, not really juicy and the balsamic glaze was pretty intense Goat Cheese Stuffed Peppadew Peppers– they had the same balsamic glaze as the meatballs but the goat cheese calmed them down and they were good Asparagus, Soft Egg, Lemon, Shaved Parmesan– I know it’s tapas style but there was literally 7 pieces of asparagus, but this was delish! Saltine Crusted Oysters, Spinach Salad, Spicy Lemon Aioli– not oily at all and good flavors Salumi flatbread– was my favorite that we tried White– I love white pizzas but this one was a bit bland Btc– it almost had a tex mex taste to it because of the avocado and jalapenos! overall I enjoyed the flatbreads– they were all consistently thin and crisp
