This was the first time my fiancé and I have come to eat here and we were ecstatic. Hands down the tacos we had today for brunch were the best we have had since moving to Dallas from San Antonio. I would recommend you guys to all of our friends.

First time to this bread winners location, it was great! The building is much newer and nicer than the uptown location, but the Terrance can’t be beat! We started sharing a cinnamon roll, highly suggested! I had the chicken and waffles which was crispy and flavored perfectly! The large fries breast was laid over a cheese and bacon waffle, oh yes! And had a gravy and some hot sauce drizzled over it with a side of syrup. One of the best chicken and waffles I’ve ever had! Enough to feed 2. My Bf and sister both had the steak and eggs, came with 2 eggs served any way, cheese grits(or potatoes) and a biscuit(or toast). Expensive mimosas but they give you a mini bottle of champs and orange juice, I generally stick to coffee.

I got the California roll up. It was pretty good. Their chicken is always so good. I didn’t realize the pasta salad was mayo-based so that was a bummer. Overall, pretty good experience, though.

Updated review: I think I prefer their lunch and dinner options! Unfortunately, still not a fan of the brunch. The Greek Salad and the Albuquerque Turkey Salad are awesome. Ask them to sub grilled chicken for the turkey! Also try the buttermilk pan fried chicken breast sandwich with pasta salad side. Desserts: what this place is known for. Try the Strawberry shortcake and the white chocolate strawberry cake.

Yes, yes. A thousand times yes. I lived in Dallas a couple years ago but I live in Utah now. The one thing I dream about it in Texas is the eggs Benedict at Breadwinner’s. The asparagus. The hollandaise sauce. the perfectly poached eggs. The croissant. The perfectly crisp home fried potatoes on the side. It’s a dream, an absolute dream! My one recommendation, share the eggs Benedict with a friend. It is hearty and will leave you feeling stuffed the rest of the day.

I went to Breadwinners for the first time on a Saturday for brunch with my parents. Parking at Inwood Village is not easy during busy times, so once you find a spot you should stop and savor it for a bit. There was no wait when we arrived, but by the time we left there were probably ~25 people waiting in the front. A lot of the reviews here mention questionable service but our service was just fine. The feel of the place is nice, it’s like a mix of old southern and Victorian. The sliding barn doors made of wine holders act as a nice statement piece. It gives you an upscale feel along with the affordable menu. They bring out a small plate of breads/muffins to start, which I barely got a chance to try before my parents pounced on them. For our meal, my mother and I ordered the bananas foster waffle and turkey club and split them. Both were very good. The bananas foster sauce on the waffle was just right in terms of sweetness, so we didn’t even use the syrup. The sandwich was made great by the use of a croissant as the bread.

I saw the reviews and went here for breakfast with a few friends and this place is awesome. I went to the one downtown but it was a line out the door so we kept it moving and didn’t stop but this location was Fantastic. No waiting to get in and the service and food was great. They give you sample pastries to try, the coffee was good. This place gets a thumbs up from me and I will be back when I’m in town.

Met two people that had me swooning all day here for brunch eats. My dish was more 2 – 2.5 stars. But these two made up for it(insert huge grin). What does this have to do with the restaurant? Well, «these two» little charmers are the sweetest face 16 month old twin boys crawling around this side of Texas… and Justin, our waiter, along with all the other patrons nearby treated these quiet little brown eyed angels like the total heartthrobs they are(and that… well, that is greatly appreciated). I tried the chicken and waffles and it was okay; I probably wouldn’t order it again… it came with a hot sauce and some sort of flavored butter? Hubs ordered a french toast dish deemed«okay» as well, and our friends’ dishes seemed to follow suit. The pumpkin spice bread served as an appetizer was tasty. The place was bustling, the atmosphere relaxed. They have a semi-private dinning area for larger parties, and there was a shower of some sort taking place. They have a decent selection on the menu… I only come here if someone else wants to… next time I think I’ll try a burger.

Came here nice and early at 9am with two other friends from out of town for breakfast here to beat the usual crazy breakfast rush at every brunch place. I’ve been to the McKinney locations years ago and loved it so I expected the same great food and service. Unfortunately, not so much. The cake? bread? sample was delicious but what I really wanted was a glass of water which didn’t come until our server came to take our food orders a long time after. The food came out quickly to my surprise but that was the absolute last we saw of our server. Either he forgot about us because we were a small table in the corner or he was ignoring is because he never came to our table when we waved at him. Never did he come back and ask how the food was or if we needed anything. I needed hot sauce, my friend wanted a to go box since she couldn’t eat much that day, and all three of us needed water refills(which only happened when he came to retrieve the check). Our server magically came back to ask if we were ready with our check when it was 10:30am and the room was full and busy(probably to try and get us out and clear the table) My complaints are things that could have easily been fixed which is what disappoints me the most. Food was good but I did not feel like a welcomed guest, more like someone ordering food to go.

Bread Winners is one of the best spots for breakfast /brunch /bakery stuff in DFW. The original is in Uptown(of course) and is attached to it’s sister bar /restaurant, «The Quarter.» This location conveys the ambiance of the original Bread Winners side of that establishment well – it’s classy and upscale, while remaining casual and homey. The best part about Bread Winners is the food. I haven’t had dinner here yet, but I’m sure that it is as excellent as the lunches and breakfasts that I’ve had here. You are provided with a few slices of muffin as you sit down as kind of a «free appetizer.» There’s a couple of dishes here that are notably great that I’ve tried.(There’s probably multiple others that I haven’t tried yet that are really good.) The Jalapeño Bacon waffle is a new level of awesome – «last meal on death row» material. Delicious. Also, the pecan rolls here are some of the best that I’ve had ever. Frankly, any of their baked goods here look amazing. Also – the Cuban sandwiches at Bread Winners are amazing, and one of the best I’ve had in Dallas.(Possibly THE.) If you’re trying to stay a bit on the healthier side – I’d recommend the homemade granola here. It’s very good, and you can get it with yogurt. Not the lowest calorie option, but hey, more healthy. The oatmeal is good and fresh and not instant. Anyhow, this location is a bit hard to find – it’s on the side of the strip mall that is behind Trader Joe’s, facing AWAY from lovers. It’s worth the journey though – Bread Winners doesn’t disappoint.

I thought of trying this place out because one of my colleague had told me about it. After my first outing here, I would rate a 2 star: the meal which I ordered was the blackened chicken Rollup with sweet potato fries. I didn’t think it pleasantly satisfied my mouth, I thought the chicken was really dry. It was a flavor I really didn’t expect but as far as the fries it was seasoned and crunchy. And a friend of mine also joined me and she said that the turkey chili was good, it had a great kick. And the raspberry sandwich should have added more raspberry to it because she could barely taste it. Everyone is allowed a second chance. So I wouldn’t mind trying it again.

The food was actually pretty good. I got the Bread Winners Benedict. The muffin was toasted just right, and the side helping of potatoes was very generous. The disappointing part was the service. The food took quite long to come out, and even when it did, we didn’t have silverware. Which took another few minutes. Then we didn’t have syrup, ketchup, or hot sauce, and when we requested it, it took another 10 – 15 minutes or so. The staff just didn’t seem to interested in serving us.

Have you ever entered a restaurant and after being seated wonder why you are there? Well – that was the case today. We were seated promptly even though there were lost of customers. It was almost 100 degrees and the hostess wanted to know if we wanted to sit outside. In 100 degree temperature — NOWAY! We were greeted by a young waiter who ask if we would like to start lunch with some sweet rolls and seconds later a waitress brought us some desert type bread. We ordered water and unsweetened tea and started scanning the menu. I noted on the menu that you could order a bowl of soup and one-half sandwich. I ask what the soup was for the day and the waiter did not know, however he went back to the kitchen to ask. He came back with some very unusual soup that I immediate rejected. There were combos that one could order and I ordered the Caesar salad and one-half California turkey sandwich and my spouse order the salad along with the same turkey sandwich. The tea arrived first. I thought it was a slightly colored glass of water — no it was tea. I ask the waiter to bring me some juts tea that was not watered down. Tea was $ 2.99 a glass and little did I know at that time I was going to be charged for each glass. Like drinking at a bar, you pay for each drink you consume. The meal arrived and I tried to like the Caesar salad but that was just not possible. There was about a cup of salad with a dressing on it that was far from being a traditional Caesar dressing. In fact it was more like soured buttermilk that a Caesar dressing. Here were eight pieces of tomatoes scattered throughput the salad. Serving tomatoes as an ingredient of a Caesar salad — I don’t think so. Now for the one-half turkey sandwich., which had been placed on a small bun(the menu states a grilled croissant) and cut in half. There was an avocado slice on top. A slice of bacon, three deli slices of thin turkey meat, sprouts and tomatoes along with a mayo dressing that was tasteless however plenty messy as it caused everything to fall off the bread. Why I kept asking myself did you order what you did? My spouse had the same turkey sandwich which arrived in the same condition as mine. Her salad was a garden salad about the same size. Thank goodness she ask for the vinaigrette dressing on the side. That dressing was so bad I almost choked from just sampling and she refused to put it on her salad. We each left about half our food on the plate. No doubt one of the worst lunches we have tried to eat in a very long time. Got my check and the total was $ 32.43 for what was a $ 10.00 meal for two. When I complained to the waiter about the excessive($ 5.98) charge for the tea, he replied, «I don’t set the prices I just serve food». WOW!!! Then they had the audacity to suggest my giving 18% to 25% tip to the waiter. Frankly I was just glad to get out of there so I could get home and get a couple of Tums. I should have taken a look at the reviews as I now see where food is not always consistent and no doubt we got one of those lee than good days.

Very good for breakfast, I can’t comment on the other meals. Had a scrambled egg combo called Migas that was outstanding. Great place to come for breakfast or brunch.

Naturally, my first meal upon having stepped foot on Texas soil had to be chicken and waffles. This Bread Winners Café location is closer to Love Field than the one downtown that has raving reviews on Unilocal,so we decided to give it a try, and I’m so glad that we did! The place wasn’t too packed on a Thursday morning, but we were seated quickly and our waitress was very nice. Our food came out quickly, and my chicken and waffles were OUTOFTHISWORLD delicious. They come on a jalapeño cheddar waffle, first of all, and the chicken was perfectly fried and juicy. What really made this a 5-star joint, however, was that you get a complimentary round of bread samples here at Bread Winners before your meal, which included a cinnamon bun, some kind of carrot or zucchini bread, and other deliciousness. I rolled on out of here as one happy camper, I tell you what. Next time I’m in Dallas, you can be that Bread Winners will be on my list of places to grab another bite at!

Was pretty up scale, but kind of chill at the same time. In one room there was a wedding party and coming in the door were some ladies in work out clothes. Clearly anything goes. My waiter wasn’t very attentive. I ordered the jalapeño waffle and chicken. The chicken was moist. The waffle had bacon jalapeños and cheese inside it. I poured the gravy, syrup and hot sauce on it and the flavor only expanded. Man was this good. I also ordered the mango fizz. I think I poured to much wine in my glass which is why I prefer to have it made before it gets to the table. They also serve breads as a starter. Our plate came with Zucchini, Apple spice and cranberry orange. All of them were moist but I loved the zucchini. The others had a weird taste to them. I believe it was too many flavors.

MAMAMIASOOOOOGOOD! Brunch here is awesome, although everyone always has the same idea so the wait takes a while. But totes worth! If the weather is nice, I recommend sitting outside. When we were here, we ordered Migas, Fried chicken and waffles, Eggs Benedict, Jalapeño waffles, and a Breakfast bowl. All of them were AMAZING. I personally had migas, which was an eggs dish with totillas and potatoes on the side. Eggs were very well cooked, and I absolutely loved the sauce they had. Perfect blend. My friend’s eggs benedict was also superb. Very well done and filling. I would highly recommend the breakfast bowl and the fried chicken with waffles. The breakfast bowl is this huge bowl with a bunch of breakfast food mashed together(sausage, eggs, potatoes, cheese) combined with a nice cream sauce. When eating all components together, they just melt in your mouth and it’s just pure ecstasy when you taste the individual parts. The fried chicken/waffle will most likely be what I order next time. It is topped with a spicy sauce, and since I am just a huge sucker for fried chicken, this well done dish was absolutely perfect for me. In all, wonderful experience. There probably isn’t a single thing you can order here that will disappoint you.

Amazing bakery items! The chocolate chip cookies were great and the oatmeal a must! Great granola dish and amazing chicken fried ribeye! The biscuits were sweet and buttery. The Service was amazing and this place has style and sophistication. I wanted to eat every meal here on our stay. The menu has a great variety. A must go to for brunch! I see a variance in reviews, but my experience was great and the food was top-notch!

I love Breadwinner’s. This is my first time at this location. It is located near the Trader Joe’s on Lover’s. There is limited parking around the lunch hour, so carpool and plan ahead. I ordered the Sonoma Chicken sandwich and it was delicious. With the large order of french fries, I could only eat half my meal. It tasted great even reheated the next day ;) Looking forward to returning.
