Food pretty was pretty good. We ate at the bar off the happy hour menu. Ahi tacos were yummy. Service was so-so considering how slow they were.

Takes forever! Bartender was way to busy I think he needed help! The nachos were alright and the ahi tacos were ok, wasn’t expecting ginger in them considering that it was a Texmex restaurant.

Wow! What a disappointment! We’ve dined here in the past albeit awhile past & the food was great! Today was terrible, service was inattentive even though it was mostly empty. The food flavors failed on carnitas, tacos & the house margarita was like water. WHATHAPPENEDHERE? I’m embarrassed that we had others join us after saying we always had great food. Looks like we’ll wait for the next turnover.

Always loved this location but recently found black hairs in the queso. Then decided to try it again and the queso made my stomach feel weird. 24 hours later my friend who ate it with me and I had severe food poisoning. We told the manager & he denied that it was caused by their queso, and then went on to say that he had to send two chefs home that day because they got sick. I looked up food poisoning caused by cheese and we had all the symptoms, and it said that this kind of food poisoning is caused by sick chefs. Will not be going here again.

Incredibly disappointed. We went for a late lunch. It was not that busy. The waiter, Juan, was very friendly but ended up making numerous mistakes. He did not get the drinks to the right individuals — not a big deal. He did forget my water though. He also left our drinks empty for a long period and we had to tell him versus him noticing it. That bugs me — it should be low hanging fruit when a restaurant is not too busy. We ordered the guacomole and I thought he would make it on the table but instead he made it on his serving tray — not a big deal on its own. Although why not just make it in the kitchen. I ordered the asada y enchilada. It was one of their especialades. The sauce was good but I was shocked by how small it was and even asked the waiter about it who said it was the correct size. It was much smaller than my enchilada and I have had ranchiladas at On the Border which were much bigger; three times the size for a similar price. For a special that emphasizes the steak that is a problem. My fiancé ordered beer battered fish tacos. Her order was incorrect as she received the grilled fish. The waiter tried to convince her that they were beer battered and then tried to see if she would keep them. She ultimately sent them back at my urging. Then after everyone else was almost finished eating, we told him to forget it and he ignored us and said«two minutes». We went ahead and accepted them. With all of the issues I thought the waiter would have comped some portion of the meal. He did not which is okay. I left a smaller tip but still around 15%. In writing this review, I feel that I should have tipped much smaller. The taste of the food was good. The steak had a chimichurri sauce which I enjoyed and the salsa is good. There were two different spice levels but neither were fire breathing variety. A roasted salsa served warm. I will probably try one more time in the future but If service does not improve then I will not go back.

Ordered beef enchiladas. A huge chunk of undercooked hamburger was on my second bite. The owner came out 20 min. after I showed it to the waiter(who was very nice) the owner told me it was cooked, he would not even look at it. He just wanted to explain how the meat was cooked and that I was wrong. I told him to please look at it. He said he didn’t have his glasses! He then offered to «take it back and cook it some more but it was cooked» I told him to take it away and he could eat it! Will never go back!!!

A very beautiful restaurant! Great food, welcoming staff, and quick service for to-go orders. I also like that they give complimentary chips and salsa with every order. And I absolutely love going to a Mexican restaurant that plays Mexican music and has staff that have wonderful Spanish accents.

We went there for lunch and I haven’t been in a while but love this place. The valet driver is always nice to me and the service was also great. I usually sit at the bar but sat at a table this day since we were not drinking. I must admit I loved the chicken tinga tacos. I would go back for them because I loved the way they cooked the chicken. They called it pulled chicken so it was practically fell apart kinda like brisket. Yummy. My friend had cheese enchiladas with chile con carne sauce and didn’t offer be a bite! :(I take it he liked them!

My family comes here all the time– it’s my younger brothers favorite place. I personally think it’s over priced but we went today because they had a free guacamole for Black Friday so that made it more worth it. Overall I enjoy the salsas– having a warm one and a cold one. We get the queso Laredo a lot and it’s good but definitely upcharged. The avocado enchiladas Are good but my mom and I were sad that they got rid of the jicama salad that used to come with it. That was refreshing and unique. My husband got the beef fajitas and enjoyed them and had enough to take home. Cantina is not my favorite Mexican food restaurant around and is pretty expensive for what you get but we still go there.

We stopped by this place on a bustling Friday night. The space is large and airy, with a minimalist modern feel. There were mariachi’s strolling about and singing. Despite the bustling atmosphere, this place was immediately cozy and we were content and ready to drink. We ordered two of their Agua Frescas & Benidas, the Don Muertos and the Sandia. After a bit of a wait, the waitress announced that they were out of watermelon for my drink. Hmmmm… I ordered another drink, which they also turned out to be out of as well. Double hmmmm. Finally I ordered something in stock and we happily sipped our drinks and waited for our meal. And the drinks were delicious, with the right amount of summertime sweet with a bite. The food did not disappoint. The chips were hot, crisp and greaseless. We both got the Enchiladas Veracruz, which was perfectly hot and seasoned with just the right amount of Queso Fresco, and a lovely pile of piping hot marinated vegetables. Despite the excellent food, service kind of appeared to be a bit slipshod throughout the rest of the meal. The wrong kind of Queso was brought to our table, then twice another server(an assistant?) brought a cup of soup and a margarita asking if we had ordered them. We had not, we said. And off he went in search of the table who had. I must say, despite all of the minor flubs, I really loved this place and its super fresh food. I’ll definitely be coming back, though perhaps not during peak Friday night hours.

Our waiter was okay. BUT after receiving chewy and hard tortillas in our enchiladas we proceeded to make a comment to the waiter when we received the check. He said this wasn’t the first complaint of the night about this, that he would talk to his manager, and that was the end of it. No manager came and spoke with us, not the slightest bit deducted from the check, nothing. Considering the previous complaints and our talks of really enjoying the Addison location; I think more should have been done. A simple apology from a manager or deduction of even $ 5 off a 60 dollar tab would’ve been acceptable considering 4⁄6 complained about the tortillas.

Pretty decent visit, but I am spoiled by the Cantina Laredo in Frisco. Came for dinner and had the Guacamole, always good, and I had the combo beef and chicken fajitas. The chicken was overcooked, and the beef was on the cool side. Rice and beans were good, and Cantina Laredo does have great chips and salsa. But, sorry, have to knock of a star for underwhelmed fajitas. And yes… parking can be a challenge. Stay hungry my friends.

PROS: Place is super clean, staff friendly, I was greeted by two welcoming employees. Beer is cold, chips and salsa are complimentary, and are fresh. CONS: Wayyyyyyyy over priced for mexican food. Chicken Fajitas start at $ 16.99. My shot of Jack Danels was around 1.25 oz. The parking is horrible, the whole front part of the buildings parking is reserved for valets. That leaves you parking somewhere in the middle of the center, which is a good walk to the restaurant.

I grew up on the Lakewood El Chico’s /Cantina Laredo, and I still insist that they have the best fajitas in town. You should also try their table-side guacamole and margaritas. The atmosphere is dark and upscale. Entrees are in the $ 10 – 20 range.

I’m a fan of the Cantina Laredo brand and this place serves up the expect. I used to go to the Lakewood place all the time and they closed :(but I’m glad to go here every now and then. Server was fantastic and they KNOW how to up-sell in this place… good business and good product. When you arrive they have an avocado on the table with a lime… hello guacamole made right at the table fresh. Yes please… I love their salsa to, especially the warm one. This day we had the special fish of the day Chilean Sea Bass… damn was it good. I spent more on this day then I ever had in Cantina Laredo and I didn’t mind one bit. We ordered the house special marg… maybe it made everything better lol one negative — coffee with cinnamon flavoring… if I had known I wouldn’t have ordered it. beware the pie desert… it will fatten your ass: p it’s amazingly delicious

This is the neighborhood Mexican restaurant and this particular location is on the smaller side but I have never had to wait. I frequently place to go orders and they are always ready rather quickly. The meat here is higher quality which is reflected in the prices but still affordable Mexican food. I really like the queso and quesadillas. It my favorite Mexican food place for the area.

Great drinks & food. ½ off during happy hour Mon– Fri until 7pm. The brisket tacos are very flavorful and tender. I would also recommend the flat bread pizzas which are ½ during happy hour. The margaritas taste really good and they have a good kick to them that will have me coming back for more.
